I am redoing a car that has 2 concept cc-d2400's. I'm thinking about going with 2 cdx-20a's, are they strappable? what are the full specs, S/N, etc...? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got a Denon DCT A100 and it didn't come with a manual or anything. I went to put it in and i saw that it has a few extra wires that I don't know what to do with. They are labeled as light, acc, aux in, and p. ant. What do these need to be connected to? Also, will I be able to use the same dash kit that I used with my old Pioneer HU?

It states 1300 @ 2ohms at 14.4v. I currently have an MD2D on my RL-p 18" @ 2 ohms, but it's only getting around 800 rms. I was thinking of swapping them out, but i'm not to sure on the rated power for the Infinity.

Couple weekends ago I was at a car show and a hertz sales rep was talking massive trash about sundown amps (and other non-mainstream companies). He stated that it is impossible for sundown amps and other amps of similar build to do rated power on strictly pcb board. he said hertz amps had a solid copper plate underneath the circuitry to deal with producing high current (1000watts+ or whatever). So my question is, do sundown amps (and others) have any plating underneath the boards? If not, then how do they handle all the current without frying? I'm not in any way, shape or form questioning sundown quality (as I have a saz-1500d myself , but just interested in how all this …

I'm lookin at a few units with time alignment and won't break the bank. Eclipse and Clarion are the ones I've paid specific attention to. I kinda want to keep my Eclipse 8053 but would like some of the new features like USB/bluetooth. I am looking at HUs with time alignment and possibly a decent crossover built in but not necessary as I am thinkin of getting an external one. Anyone with first-hand experience or links to reviews?

I drive a 2001 GMC Jimmy 4 door with a 4.3L Vortec V6 and want a 200 amp or so alternator to replace my stock one with and would like recommendations on what companies to look at. I am considering Excessive Amperage, Mean Green, PowerMaster and KnuKonceptz. There were others but I forgot them. Any feedback is appreciated.

What's the deal with them? When will they be available? Got any specs?

Ok guys I recently put in an 18" fi bl with a Sundown Sae-1200dv2 into a 2009 ford escape. The box is around 7 cubes tuned to 32 hertz. Amp is being ran at 1 ohm. All power and ground wire is being ran in 1/0 Knu. Under the hood i have only upgraded my battery negative to chassis ground power wire to 1/0 ga. Everything is properly installed wiring wise, I'm having a problem with the amp going into protection mode when playing music higher volumes. The bass boost is all the way down on the amp and the gain is set to 1/2 and everything else was set by a buddy of mine more experienced with car audio. Just need someone to explain to me what the subwoofer setting does, currently I have it at -10. It sounds really nice at that setting, when I turn it up to 0 or +1..2..3 etc, the bass feels more jumpier and not as nice, what does this setting do, and what should it be set at?

i finally took the plunge and vented my box...and i have noticed that the bass output changes per song or cd(which happened with the sealed box also)..some songs are loud and deep and others have nothing?..i was wondering if theses processors really to restore the low end in all recordings..im goin to get into the sd chips for music so i want everything to sound the same..thanks in advance...

Im thinking about preordering the SAE1200D to replace my Kx1200.1. Is Sundown a better made amp? Could i please get pros and cons of Sundown amps. I also heard that Sundowns draw less amps then Kickers is that true

which is better? the kenwood KVT 815dvd or the clarion VRX935VD? shane(HCCAfan) told me that the clarion HU's skip alot...anyone running the clarion or the kenwood? im getting one of them for xmas, dont know which one i should get tho....give me ur opinions.....thanks.

I'm looking for a nice 2 channel amp to power my new IA components. I was browsing and found a soundstream rubicon 2 channel that Puts out 130x2 at 4 ohms and 225x2 at 2 ohms. What do you guys think? Are they decent amps? I found one for like 135. Any insight would help.

i was wondering if i could power one rl-p 18 with an aq2200d. would i get the sub in d4 and wire it in parallel to get a 2 ohm load, (which is 1300watts ). or should i get d2 and wire it in series to get a 4 ohm load? (740 watts) the soundsplinter website says 500 to 1000watts.

I'm on the search for an affordable amp that will do rated power. Looking for 2000w @ 1ohm. It will be pushing hopefully a pair of Icon 15's or z15's. Electrical: 200amp h.o Alternator Optima yellow under the hood 1/0 Big three. Also on the search for a decent battery to add to the back if need be.

soo i started my truck up at the bar,dude wanted to hear the system, cranked it up played a new cd i got. so my amp went into protect. i assume i clip at 26 vol on my head unit it goes to 30. i played it at 26. played the amp at what i would play it to do a demo with out distortion (by ear)and it went into protect! never had this problem AND i just put a xs 3400 under the hood it was at 14.5ish volts no drop....sooo like any ideas why this happened anything i should check or what not?

Hey guys, this is a question for Dave Edwards but I want everyone else to chime in too. I am considering going with an MTX 81000d or 1501 amp. The question at hand is, if i went with the MTX 81000d I'm gonna get a modded version. Since its modded would i have a higher chance of blowing the amp? Does anyone know anything about the 81000d? Now for the 1501amp... can u modd it to 1ohm? If I do.... what is the possiblity of me blowing that? Does anyone know the rating on the 1501 if u did drop it to 1ohms? And finally..... can the 81000d be runned daily? Has anyone had experiance with them? Help me out

So we finally got some decent weather and have started with my install. I had ordered some knuconcepts 1/0 gauge and it arrived it mail today. I had installed all the sound deadener I had which wasn't enough. I decided to make the positive run with my wire that just so happen to arrive. I was able to complete run so it’s ready for next step. Now I am looking at the rest of my electrical and what I will need. I have 2 XS D3400 on their way. One of which I am thinking of using as my main car battery. (This was the battery recommended off of XS website for my vehicle.) the second will be for my audio system. My friend is installing his eclipse avn52d headunit in his 05 hyundai sonata. I've had a little more experience with it so I was helping him. We got everything squared away and now came time to turn on the car and test it. The headunit came on but there was no sound coming out of the speakers. I double checked wiring. Still nothing. Went to the biggest audio shop around town and they told me to check a few things and I did that still nothing. They said the car might have a factory amp and that is why the speakers arn't working because the amp isn't see power, which made sense but when I did what they told me it didn't work. I am in the market for a new alarm with remote start, this will be going in my mustang. I'm going to have it professionally installed by a friends shop. Currently What I am looking for is an alarm with remote start, two way pager, a decent range 1000-1500ft, 2-Way remote with tone and vibe modes. I am looking into the Avital 5303, but I would prefer a remtoe that actually includes all the buttons into one but is not exactly required. I am looking for some suggestion and reviews. Price I would like to hit would be around 200-300 for the alarm its self. Thanks.
