if on my battery i am running a 2 gauge wire to my alternator and a 2 gauge wire to my amps coming from the positive battery terminal post, is ok to wire one 0 gauge wire from the battery to the frame or does it have to be (2)-2 guage wires going from the battery's negative terminal post to frame. in the long run after running two batteries i will come up with close to 5 ground wires that needed to be grounded to the frame and i wanted to lighten the load if possible but if not its cool.

I am looking to install a Sundown SAX1200D in my truck after I get the money up. My question is to run it at 1 ohm what all will I need to upgrade on my electrical besides the Big 3? If I need a larger or more batteries what size should I run and what should I run for the alternator?

soo i started my truck up at the bar,dude wanted to hear the system, cranked it up played a new cd i got. so my amp went into protect. i assume i clip at 26 vol on my head unit it goes to 30. i played it at 26. played the amp at what i would play it to do a demo with out distortion (by ear)and it went into protect! never had this problem AND i just put a xs 3400 under the hood it was at 14.5ish volts no drop....sooo like any ideas why this happened anything i should check or what not?

Hey guys, I have narrowed it down to two choices. I was originally going to just buy any random HU until next spring when I start my serious build. But with news of x3 for holiday pay which is the entire last week of December working 12 hour shifts, that build may begin sooner. what battery should i get for the sundown x series ??

I just got a Denon DCT A100 and it didn't come with a manual or anything. I went to put it in and i saw that it has a few extra wires that I don't know what to do with. They are labeled as light, acc, aux in, and p. ant. What do these need to be connected to? Also, will I be able to use the same dash kit that I used with my old Pioneer HU?

Im willing to get two of them if necessary. I have a 2011 Chevy Cruze and idk if there is any alternators on the market for this car. So would simply upgrading battery's allow me to run this amp fine?

so what would be the best way to run rca for 6 amps? HU has 3 rca outputs front rear sub, and if i understand corectly i can only do 1 amp in master and 1 in slave, so this would b ring me down to 3 for my sub amps what would be the next route?

Hey fellas.... Just got this HU installed the other day... Lovin' it soo far.. Some questions: Slope - I have the option of 6db, 12db, or 18db for the subwoofer... Currently I have it at 18db with a cutoff of 100hz ... Good/bad? Ideas? I don't have a great front stage so I thought going up that high would help with overall sound... On the speakers I have them crossed at 125hz with a 12db slope instead of a 6db since I don't want the speakers to sound like crap going below that 125hz... Am I doing this correctly?? I have a Boston acoustics pro 12.5 sub(4 ohms) in custom box at Boston specs (sealed 1” mdf). It is rated at 1200w rms and iam now using a 600w rms(Hertz class D). Although it sounds pretty good, cant help wondering how much difference a 1000-1200w amp would sound compared to the 600w amp. Need advice from people with experience trying different amps with the same sub.

I have a 2002 honda civic si and I just installed a 200amp alt. The sys is charging at 14 volts. The batt light, on the dash, stays on. I have a batt under the hood and 2 in the back. Any ideas?

So I have two zv4 18s d2s...original plans was to strap afew 2ks on them at 2 ohms but ran across and almost forgot about the 4601ds which are 0.5 stable...I know the opti7001ds do rated i had a popcorn 6k "Same amp". hi, i have 2 sundown sd1 v1 12" and i am thinking about using them until i can get enough money to buy to system i really want so if i can limit how much i spend the better. anyway i already have a sundown sax100.2 that i was going to use to power them but the problem being that it does not have a subsonic filter on it. and i was wondering if i could get away with using my alpine 9887 crossovers and my sax100.2 crossovers and bandpass it, if that would ok an ok alternative.
