We have an update. The news is that the Carbon Fiber dust caps that were originally planned for the Xcon have been delayed. But we are going to offer dust cap options. The logo will be the same regardless of option choice. By doing this we are able to keep the standard cost of the Xcon down just under the $400 mark. The XCON will have option of three dust caps: 1.) Inverted Cap (concave mica reinforced polypropylene) 2.) SSA Convex Cap (Same as Dcon and Icon) 3.) Carbon Fiber Cap (Offered at a later date) + $17 The standard Xcon dust cap offered is the inverted option which we feel with give a very clean look.

Because we did a running change again to the dust caps which i'm sure everyone will be very pleased with i'm not going to show the front of this woofer. But this is the production 18" that just arrived. I'll get full product photos next week of the rest for all to gaze apon

What does " Awaiting Fulfillment" mean in the order status page? and what other status's are there and what do they mean?

i will be ordering a 12" ICON soon. what is a good amp to push it? i want to go one channel because i will have another amp pushing everything else. what is a good choice w/ a good price? im not trying to break the bank.

well after along time of driving my brand new truck around with a ton of weight in the back, two monster 15's and a huge box, batts, amps, etc...I decided it was time to get back to a single 12". Plus with John having his truck so close for demo's, and that truck being above and beyond loud IMO, thought it was time. Recently I've been thinking about trying to fit a 15" Icon in the trunk of my Sunfire as opposed to the 12" I've planned. I typically would just use a slotted port, but the amount of displacement taken up by the port would bring the box pretty much all the way down to 3cft as opposed to the 4 that's supposed to be optimal. So I've been reading a bit and the idea of using Aero ports kind of interested me. However, does the recommendation for port area remain the same (12-16 square inches per cubic foot)? If so, I would need 2 6" ports or 4 4" ports, and in both configurations the port length would have to be too long. Is my only bet for fitting a 15" is to settle with some…

I started some spring cleaning today and noticed the mids on my old Baby Advent IIs had blown out the surrounds, so I figured I'd throw the Evil 6.5s in their place and have some fun. Now, these are in a simple bass reflex at 9.1L. There's a simple 1st order crossover running up to 6K, so the woofer is wide open down low and starts rolling 6dB at 6K. It's a really simple design. These are being powered by an old Pioneer Elite receiver rated at 40WPC at 6 ohms. Standing DCR on them was 7.12, so we're in business. Now, I didn't expect much as this was just a WTF experiment. hi , i am wondering has anyone tried putting a 15" icon in a sub up port back type enclosure in a trunk car. i would really like to use a 15" but my trunk height is only 15.5 inches high so this is the only way that i can think of.

So I have been thinking, If I wall off behind the second row I should be able to get about 14 and a half cubes. Subs on the outer sides and 200sqin of port in the middle. I would be uprading the electrical, with h/o alt, big 3, and atleast 5 batts(1 up front 4 in the back). Another saz 1500, and a shit ton of deadner. I will be upgrading my fronstage as well. I am hoping to do atleast around 146 or so. That would be double the cone area and double the power, aswell as aupgraded electrical. What do you guys think????

I have an Icon 10" from 2009. Can anyone tell me what gen model this is and the rated RMS? Also are the enclosure recommendations on the website for the current icon about the same? Thanks in advance.

i want to make a ported box for my xcon 10 and i was thinking about modifying the predesigned enclosure to make it fit for my car. I'm just curious why the boxes are the same for the xcon and icon 10's. the recommended specs are different for the 2 woofers but i can't find a difference between the pre designed enclosures. should i be using the recommended specs as a guide or the predesigned enclosures as a guide. just a bit confusing.

this guy wants to build a box for my two ICON 15" subs here are the 3 options he gave me 17"H x 42"W x 24"D, 8.174^3ft gross vol. Slot port, 15.5" x 5" x 15.92"Long. After all displacement, 7.048^3ft net box vol. Built from 3/4"UL-MDF 20"H x 40"W x 21"D, this will save you some room, it will put the enclosure at 8.244^3ft gross vol, 7.171^3ft net. Perfect! The port will be 18.5" x 4" x 16.1"Long 22"H x 42"W x 20"D, 8.889^3ft gross, 7.837^3ft net, with a 20.5" x 4" x 15.4"long port. i drive a 04 ford explorer also and dont want to lose to much space in the trunk

I am waiting on my sundown saz-2000d and i want new subs, i currently have 3 kicker cvx 12"s in a 6.4ft^3 @ 30 Hz. I wanted to keep my box cause its perfect and the best i built and thought about getting 3 12" Icons but dont want to underpower them. So lately i been wanting one 18" xcon or two 15" icon in a 6.15ft^3 @ 30Hz, 31Hz or 32Hz(havent made my mind up). what would be the best route, appreciate all the info.

Ok, I have done a lot of mods as of late to my Galaxy S Andriod Phone, and ended up making some cool wall pappers for home screen, and messaging screens, just wanted to share what I have so far. when will more xcon's be available?

Last weekend was the Meca California state finals....took first in s3 with 2 15" xcon's on a crescendo 3500d. Score was a 151.3@40hz, down .2 from last show but it was still good enough to take the 1st and the stae record I love these subs...get loud and sound awesome while doing it Thinking about upgrading next season to 2 15" zcon's on a crescendo 5500d Thanks SSA for the awesome subs
