I am gonna be building a sealed enclosure for my 15" xcon it will be powered by 300rms Its gonna be going in the front of my living room, Should I fire the sub down or point it at the wall? What size should my enclosure be for good deep bass response in a sealed setup? Any ideas or tips? -

I have had my Dcon's for a while now and I must say I am very impressed with how loud these little 10's can get while sounding great at the same time. At the time of thier arrival I did'nt really have the money to get a custom enclosure made so a friend of mine sold me an dual 10" audioenhancers enclosure he had laying around in his garage. He showed me the specs of the enclosure on the internet (3.18 cu. ft. at 33hz) and I figured that would be fine for them. Since i've had them I've always noticed that they hit the lower low notes but did not produce as much volume from them as I was expecting without me cranking the gains on my head unit. Today I finally checked the sp… -

I've been eyeing the Dcons for a month or two and now that the price was dropped I'm defineatly getting three. I just don't know if i want tens or twelves. My question is how much wattage is safe for them? I plan on running them with an Elemetal Desings Nine.1 at one ohm for 1200 watts. I know the Dcon's are rated for three hundred watts and my amp is underatted and with my electrical upgrades I'd be at 1400-1500 watts. With all that said should i just go easy on the gains or downgrade my amp? -

Reposting to see if I can get it to work for him. So last night I took around an hour or so to write up some huge review on my new pair of 18'' Sound Solution Audio Xcons. Unfortunately there was a url glitch and the thread is gone, so I will try to sum up my product review instead of another 5000 word essay. The SSA Xcon is an amazingly solid driver that has absurd amounts of low end output (off little power might I add) and still acts incredibly responsive, the sound quality of this sub does not hold back its ability to "get loud" one bit. I feel that the Xcon is a very under appreciated driver in today's market, so luckily for you all interested in this sub, I'm taking… -

SSA Dcon line up price drop! Since we know these are excellent drivers that are very capable of surprising people and are one of the best offerings in the 300 watt ratted "SQ" minded sub woofers on the market. There are not that many are out there, (even after extremely positive reviews, and a give-away), so we are officially lowering the price to make them a little more affordable. SSA Dcon 10D4/S4 now $115 !! SSA Dcon 12D4/S4 now $125 !! -

Just left marks house. My dad and i both got a demo of xcons. They sound even better than i imagined. They were really crisp, tight, and accurate. They love the low notes. They also put out quite a bit of output. Thanks again for the demo mark. Maybe i will have to switch out my xl 18s to xcons now -

Ok, gettin a little worried about all the warnings I have recieved that the HDC3s don't get low and have a funny hollow sound to them. Just sayin, if more then 3 people tell you that you look like a jackass, you might want to take a look in the mirror, lol. So, I am really liking the Xcon 12 D2. Plays low, sounds great, and is a sexy driver to boot. Question is, do you think a Xcon 12 D2 and a Audiopipe AP18001D would be a good match. I know what alot of people will say about AP, but I know they are solid amps that do rated power. Lookin at a box 2.2^3 net tuned at 32Hz. I listen to mostly rap, but also do some oldies like Al Green and a little rock. I want a low and loud… -

( is it worth the money ) it is ia a 4 cube box ported to 32hz.... i read the post on the guy who built a sealed box for his Xcon... i mite build a sealed box and see how i like it... i listen to alot of rock... nickleback... metallica type music... once in awhile some rap just… -

Hi everyone. I need to build a new enclosure for my pair of 15" XCONS. My ported box is coming apart and replacement is unavoidable. I want to build a sealed box and try them out that way for a little while to see if I like it better. If not, I will build a larger ported box later. The recommended optimal volume as listed on the SSA storefront is 2.75 - 3.0. I believe, and correct me if I am wrong, the smaller box will yield a tighter bass, but I am open to all suggestions and opinions. Space is not an issue. Box is going in a Yukon XL and the subs will be powered by a GP3000D, so 1500w to each. My listening preference is rock/metal , but I do listen to R&B/Hip Hop a… -
