I just got a few? on the 18 Xcons, 1 whats the optimum box for 2 18 and how many sqin of port. 2 can they be reconed if needed. Powered by a sundown 3500 thankz

Okay I have a icon 15 and inverted with the basket outside of the box and today as I was getting outta my truck, I touched the magnet and it was considerably warm.., s this normal or is the sub getting too hot?

Just throwing this out there, Bromo and myself have been working on this. He says go bigger and I agree but can't do to space constraints. The box for this XCON 15 will have a volume of 3.6 after sub and bracing displacemnt tuned to 33 hz. I listen to hip hop, bass music and just about everything else. Is this box going to hurt the potential of the XCON? Is it to small. Is the tune going to seriously affect the type of music I listen to? Bromo has been a huge help as well as Alton, but I am wanting some other opinions now. Thanks

Hey what's going on? So I'm in a dilemma with myself on what to do. I've decided that I want to get the D-Cons for myself. The problem is that I don't know if I should go with 2-10s or 1-12. I plan to get the JL HD600/4 so I would have 300 watts to use on the subs. Just not sure if 300watts would be good for the two subs. I mainly listen to Hip-Hop, R&B, Dancehall Reggae so I'm not even 100% sure the D-cons are the right sub for me at all. I am trying to set-up a clean sounding SQ system, but would like the bump when wanted. Can anyone give me a little bit more insight of what to do? Thanks.

Do you guys think the icons sound better in sealed or ported box? Being that the sq, and power are neutral.

I'd like to pick up a 15" icon. The box would be sealed, but to shallow to mount the sub. I have the room to do inverted. Is that an option? Will it have a negative affect on the subs performance?

hey all my name is Andrew and im new here. i recently purchased a 12'' ssa icon d2 and a us amps xt1600.2. i am looking to build a box for it and had some questions...i am using the re audio box calculator and am looking for a tuning frequency of around 27-30hz. i have been messing around with the calculator and came up with a box that is 28'' wide, 14'' tall, and 18'' deep. port width is 2'' and the 1st port length is 15.25''. the 2nd port length is 8''. the overall ft^3 is 2.763 and the tuning is 27.98hz. does this sound like an ok design? i have heard that a port width of 2'' could possibly cause some port noise? also i was wondering if it mattered where i moun…

i was looking at the ssa subs page and i seen that it said comin soon D4 SSA dcon 8, just wantin to know if this is true?

And if so how would these compare to two level four 12's? Kinda coming from two ends of a spectrum, but I am just tossing around ideas for the next system and am wanting to start pretty soon.

I may be totally blind, but I could not find this stupid spec anywhere....what is the mounting depth of the 10" Icon. I have .6 cubes per sub and a mounting depth between 5.25" and 5 7/8". thanks.

I know I saw a thread about this a while back, but can't seem to find it. I think I remember reading about a 8" DCON prototype. Whatever happened to this? Was it a flop or was there just not the market for it? I know I'd jump all over a pair if they became available.
