First thing I will make abundantly clear: most people by now know that I’m a regular poster on SSA and a member of the Tech Team. Aaron did not send this to me to review, I didn’t get it for free, I wasn’t asked to buy it, or any situation in that vein. When I expressed interest in getting an Icon, Aaron asked if I would be willing to review it. I said yes but made sure he understood that if it was a sub-par product, I wouldn’t hold anything back. I feel I have the technical backing and experience to give it a thorough review and I hope you’ll find the same. There were no SPL measurements done because I could really care less about those. This is a purely subjective…

Well, Acidburn, Beatdominator, Johnecon2000, and I went up to Prescott AZ today for a local meet and greet, and they had a mic up there so I thought, what the hell, was wondering what my ICON 15's would do with just 1500 watts to them would do. Conditions: - Amps had been on all day and where very very hot to the touch - Subs have been beat'n on all day long showing people and giving demos, coils where allready heated up when this score was taken. - Enclosure tuned to 35hz for street beat, not a good recipe for SPL, but never the lesss, keep that in mind. All in all this set up could easially break the 150db mark if everything was cooled down and had a fresh burp. THe IC…

the new box comes out to 4.09 cu ft after port and sub displacement, tuned to 40.94 hz. This is going to be my SPL box for my comp on Sunday July 8th. I have to mount the amps on the rear of box and cut the whole for sub so the box is not totally completed in the car yet. Heres some pics but the rest will come tomorrow. I will also post pics from the show and the numbers I did with the Icon 15 at the show sunday. But remember, im still not sure if its the perfect SPL box for the sub, so more testing is required, this isnt a sub everyone knows the best box to make for it like RE subs or SI subs. In my opinion this sub is great and I wish people would give it a chance…

alrite so heres the basics, box is 3 cu ft tuned to 35 hz ported. powered by a SoundStream PCA 2000d turned half way up on gain, so about ~1000 watts. Let's just say if Bass Mekanik was a judge, this sub would pass. The first disc i threw in was my Bass Mekanik Reload cd and it sounded great. After a while of driving and listening i decided to turn the amp up more so now its gettin around 1300-1400 watts and still works perfectly. My second test involves ~1000 watts on rap music. i threw in 3 6 mafia late night tip, icp- Aint yo bidness, and KottonMouth Kings-bump. The sub sounds great. When the bass starts to get faster, the woofer does not mutter, or kind of j…

I ordered my Icon 15 within the first 10 minutes of them being for sale, or something like that. box is going to be 3.08 cu ft after displacement. pretty much 3 cu ft tuned to 35 hz. Just got my 2 brand new soundstream amps this past week, PCA 2000d for sub, and PCA 2.260 for my JL Audio XR 5.25 components, also a brand new strand of KnuKonceptz Colosseus 1/0 power cable. =)) Building box, running power wire, and hooking up sub on saturday=) might start box sooner. BTW::: The ups tracking number still doesn't tell me when the sub will be arriving!!! I wanna be home when it arrives!!!! I talked to denim on caraudio.com, and please respond back to me. P.S. I really…

I would like to see a ICON review please I have 2 10s in my car right know but I am thinking about trying something new and these look nice. The thing is I need to know how they preform sealed. I like the sound of a sealed sub. I am thinking of 1-12 or 2 10s not sure if I can come up with the money for 2 10s. I do have 800wrms to give what ever I go with. I want it to be musical but want it to get loud when I ask it to. Right know I have 2 Phoenix gold RSd 10s sealed and they sound nice to me. I have had RLi 8s sealed, Rlp 12 ported and a RE SE12 ported. How would you compare them to all of the above. Thanks for all your help, Mike J.

First off, let me say this is a huge announcement for our little website/forum/shop. Mark and I have dreamed of having our own line of speakers for a long time. The biggest issue was the sheer cost to start one. Recently we came across an unreal offer we had to jump on, which we are dearly greatful for. My first and foremost desire was to make a great Sound Quality subwoofer that the masses could afford. Also, I wanted to make a durable daily driver subwoofer that could handle some power with out breaking a sweat. The other wish was to have a subwoofer with the ablity to get loud in the right enclosure, not record breaking loud, but respectable if someone wanted to …
