Where can I get a new surround for a 12" icon? How much are they? Will it be hard to replace witht he fact that they have a paper cone?

I've got an xcon 15d2 run by a sundown saz1500d they have been hooked up for about a month and both are great. I was driving a few days ago and everything was fine i parked my truck and went to move it a few hours later and it wasn't playing rite. It plays quiet and when you put your ear to it, it makes a buzzing noise. i pulled the sub out and it does not smell burnt and both coils read about 1.8-9 ohms on the DMM. Sorry for the long post but i have no idea what is wrong. Any help would be great.

I know I saw a thread about this a while back, but can't seem to find it. I think I remember reading about a 8" DCON prototype. Whatever happened to this? Was it a flop or was there just not the market for it? I know I'd jump all over a pair if they became available.

I have a Icon 12, but now I have a sports car with a hatch instead of a sedan with a trunk. I'm thinking about trading it, selling it, or having it reconed to a 10. Any way I could send it to you over at Ssa and have it reconed to a 10? Going to put my box in my 300zx next weekend and see how that works out.

We where at it again today, playing around with some woman's fleece and children's fleece SSA jackets and shirts today, what do you guys think so far? Emily Orologio was kind enough to model for us to show them off. Post opinions. I can't wait to see what my little (almost 2 yr old) son will look like in his new hoodie. I have a 1200d coming and I need just 1 12, which will be going under the back seat of my silverado crew cab. So depth is limited to 7" max Thats figuring in the MDF and leaving another .5" from bottom of driver to the board. Im hoping I can go ported but if not then itll be sealed. Do you guys recommend going with the ICON or the BL with all upgrades The 1200d is supposed to do almost 1500w rms at 1ohm so Id like to take advantage of all that power

This is no major thing, I was just looking on this page for the Xcon 18 box cutouts, and noticed you guys had the diameter for the 15's cutout listed as the 18's. SSA Xcon 18" Sub woofer1750rms 31mm Xmax

my question is i am going to be ordering the saz-2000 would u guys reccomend 2 15 icon or 2 15 xcons on this amount of power.Its going into a 2008 chrysler 300 thanks anything would help...

The build house is caught up and all Dcon's are shipping out this evening or first thing tomorrow morning. Those who are interested, send me a PM, I am offering a $10 SSA Store credit towards a future purchase as a thank you for holding on a little extra time for the delay. The Icon's are still on the way, but there are a couple more parts that are held up before production can start and a final prototype has to be tested to make sure everything with this new version of the Icon is all buttoned up and ready to roll before production. There are around 6 or so Xcon's in stock. After those, there is still a wait on steel supplies for them, ditto on the Zcon's.

I was just wondering if there are recone kits available for a 10" SSA Icon. (Just wondering in case I would like to get one for the future)

hi id like to order an ssa subwoofer (maybe xcon) but how to do so? i live in europe.

As you can see in my sig, I am a pround owner of a 15" Icon sub!!! I am really happy with it, but I would like to play with the tuning frequencies of my box! I want to lower the tuning frequency of my enclosure. What should I do ? The box is about 4ft3 and the port is 14.10" (35cm) long and about 5.5" (14cm) of diameter. The actual port is just a PVC pipe. Should I replace it with a longer port(1" more), or is it better to have one port with a larger diameter to have more port area ? It is easier to have a longer port, but is it better for the sound, output, quality,... ??? Thanks you all

I just bought 2 10" dcons, and now i need to build an enclosure. Im just not sure what what style I should do. They're going into my 1990 bmw 325i. The trunk is pretty much a steel coffin, there is no opening in the rear seat or anything. What i was thinking of doing is removing the rear speakers and porting directly through those holes (1 port per sub). Anyways, what box style best suits these subs? Should I go with subs facing rear, porting through the top? Some have suggested I build a bandpass setup, but I have no idea how to make one of those.
