We had blast today ..really a lot of fun this is not my car , this is of one of our team members ,just so you know . so its an 30 year old VW beetle with an complete custom build polyester body and soft leather top . install: 1x 15 inch mayhem D2 in a 4,75 cu. ft box , port 76 sq. inch tuned to 49 HZ 2 dragster daa2201 linked (which are really crap)I'll explain why later 3x 72Ah Varta , they were sitting @ 13.2 V fully charged.(wich should be 13.7) the dragsters should putt out 4400 Wrms a 2ohms @ 14.4 linked ,we only got to 3200W @ 13.2 V @2 ohms,we also tested a Celestra DA4K , that one put out 2000W @ 2 ohms @ 13.2V (rated a 3200W @1 ohm on 14.4 and 0,5 ohms stable) …

Ok, I am most likely purchasing the L1 and L4 legatia drivers from Hybrid next week, and would like to use the Assasin 8's to complete a 3-way active component system. My plan was to xover the L4 down to ~140 maybe 150, then have the 8's from that number down to about 45, and the 15" Q from that down to 28. Would the assassin 8 be great for this? also, I wanted to mount it in the doors, (the L4's and L1's are going in kick panels). how wold it do in IB and what kind of power handling am I looking at? (i could build little sealed enclosures for them in doors if needed. (crossing fingers) hopefully will be ready for some of next seasons SQ competitions.

Was browsing on the web and came across this. Seems that AA will not only have 3 but 5 series of subs: Assassin, Arsenal, Chaos, Havoc and Mayhem - Mayhem being an SPL woofer Is that old old news (like before FI Car Audio)? or ...?

I got a problem i want two havoc 15s but they are 2ohm subs and my amp is 2500 at one ohm can i use the amp i got with two 2 ohm subs

well i have the older model arsenals and i have a orion 2500d going to two 15s they are handling that many watts okay just wanted to know since the new arsenals are beefed up they should handle way better right. Just like every sub scott makes people double the power and they handle like champs. so what you think???????????????????????????????????

Can the Mayhems be re-coned, preferably by Fi, to change the impedance? If so, is there a comparable re-cone available that would maintain the stock Mayhem power handling of 2500 rms? Thanks.

so i bought 1 HAVOC 15 and soon i will get it ! it will be powerd by SUNDOWN SAE-1000D and i wanted to know if the sub will play loud =] ? and some Member of the forum wrote me : THe SAE-1000D is plenty of power for that sub. Build the enclosure to suggested specs and you should be very happy 65 liter box will be enough ?

I've got a pair of 15" Avalanche subs. I want to build a box, but I don't know what size it needs to be. I'm undecided on whether I'll be using them in my home or my car. My car needs a little work, that's why I'm undecided. Anyways to the good stuff. I want to go ported for either application. For the car I'm guessing a tuning frequency of 32 to 35Hz. For the house I'm thinking 28Hz. I'm open to suggestions. For power I've got two TMA 1000.1 in the car. I have an Assassin 8 that the cone separated from the motor. Im looking for info on getting it warrantied or reconed or getting a discount on a new assassin. Just something,lmao. I was running 400w to it, I had 4 of them on a hifonics brutus 1600. Wanged on daily but not to the point of distortion. Any info or something would be helpful. Reason im asking is thats the free space I have ava in the center of my trunk, the amps I have (well I only have one), and based on another forum members review and advice on his single, I thought about doing two. Would that be enough airspace? Too much power?

are there any 8" Assassins of the older type available? I want to have 4 4ohm assassins to run 1 ohm on a new amp I'm getting. so I need two older ones.

I was thinking of using a pair of 8" Assassin's 8ohm 1st. gen. in an IB. This would go into my 07 Atima. Are these subs set up to run in an IB install. If not, I need to find another use for these subs.

I tried to get some answers out of AA about the difference between the two materials and never received a response. What I know so far is that AA will offer mids in a carbon cone as opposed to the original Poly cones. Can someone give me a better feel as to how these speakers will sound compared to the two different materials. As far as I know, the two are built the same but the material for the cone are different. I'm really on my last string with AA. Don't get me wrong, I love what they have done in the past. Hey, im currently in iraq looking for amp possibilities, for my new Havocs. Im currently Looking at the Sundowns... Looking at either the Saz-2000D, or the Saz-2500D. Which do you guys think. I ordered from bkolf04 one AA Mayhem 15 d1 (thank you Brian), wired to 0.5 The box will be 5 cu ft, with 70.5 sqin port area, 14.1 sqin / cu ft. tuned to 32Hz 240A of one alternator 2 xs d3100 + one stock under hood. what amplifier do you recomend ? I want to see in that sub 3.5k of clean power. With impendance rise of box what you recomend: one amp with 3.5kw of power to 1 ohm, or 5.5kw power ? For that power i need a litle box with 4 cu ft ? thank you

Hey, guys. I'm getting a 15 avalanche d2 to buy. I know they're legends but i was wondering how do they compare to havocs?. I have a 12 havoc already and its excellent. I'm wondering if its an upgrade or what. This for musical/ht use in house.

Im probably going to go with 2 18" avas for my next build. I was thinking about 10 cubes with a 28 hz tune. What do you guys think? Also how much port area do these subs like? Are they able to move a bunch of air? Also I will probably be running 750 rms to each. 1500 total
