Hi guys, A friend of mine wants to buy 2 12" Mayhem. He has an MTX te4000 amp for the bass, and he will do all the electrical upgrades he can later. He already has some Optima batteries, he needs to do the big3. His old sub was a Pioneer premier 15" spl monster !! But it has a problem ! All 3 Pioneer spl subs I saw here have been blown !!! I am trying to tell him that he needs only a 12" sub because he drives a small car with a small trunk : it's a Renault Clio ( 2 or 4 doors, I don't remember), hatchback car. He thinks he need 2 Mayhem on his MTX amp. What would you do ? One Mayhem D1 to use the amp at 2 ohms, and later another sub to run both with the same amp, if he …

hi my firends is trying to see which sub is better in ""SQL"" he is looking at an FI Q 15 and a AA havoc 15.. he wants to know which hits harder and which one has better sound quality...... and does anybody know how much a Havoc 15 would cost cuz i looked it up on their site and it does tell you how much

Hey guys, Just wondering if anybody has gotten to test out the new SMD woofer. I was thinking of selling my current lvl 5 15" dc woofer and getting a SMD 15. As of right now my trunk is pressed for space and I cannot give the level 5 the room it needs. Well I can but then I run into other problems. Looking at the SMD 15" specs it looks like it recommends a 2-4 cuFt box. As of right now, my level 5 is in a 3.5cuFt box and I was told to rebuild it to at least a 4.5 cuFt box. Well I can split the difference and probably get louder with this new sub. Also, building a box the biggest recommended space makes it better in spl competitions (which I want to do really bad). like the title says im planing my new setup and im thinkin either 8 assassin 12s, 6 arsenal15s, or 4 chaos18s. its gonna be for demos and fun not for numbers so if i port its gonna be low and sealed is even a possibility. i have a lil over 30cuft to play with, more if i get creative. electrical is covered im looking to give each sub rms power. im goin for the wow factor. basicly the question is which do you think would be more bad ass to see lol. all opinions are welcome

Im currently wanting to try something new and I was wanting to know what would be a better choice.. I have 2 5000rms amps for each 12" woofer I intend on using. So Im wanting to a setup with 2 12's and its between the AA Mayhem or the Fi BTL 12".. I dont have any dealers of AA in my area and it don't seem like they do much of the speaker customizing like Fi does... So whats everyones input? BTL 12" vs. Mayhem 12"?

Where would the new 18'' havocs be if they where in the Fi audio line?

Sorry to ask because I know it's all over the forum but I cannot figure out what I need or where to get it. My AA has broken tinsel leads on one voice coil and I have no clue how to fix it. I would assume to fix it the right way, I'd need to pull the cone out, but after that I'm not sure what parts I'd need to repair it.

We at Audio Innovations are still trying to get ahold of Ascendant in order to facilitate getting product and able to get recones for aa/fi product. Myself and Ryan have sent numerous emails to the fi email and have not received anything back. I'm in need of recones and need a way to be able to get product (hopefully in a timely manner). Hello, I'm new to the forum and would like some help with a box for an 8" assassin. I was wondering if someone would be interested in designing a slot ported box for me that would fit in the following dimensions: 17" wide by 14" front to back. I am not too concerned with height, just dont want to go over 12" if possible. The box is going in a 2007 Frontier Kingcab, behind my driver seat. I think the specs on the AA site say .5@35, but have read threads where people are saying .6@40. I mainly listen to rock/alternative music if that helps with the tuning. I am getting ready to order a new one next week from the TeamSSaudio website, and would like to build the box before it…

I have a SPL-D 1500D powering a AA Havoc 12 in a box that is 2.2cuft and tuned to 32hz. It plays the low end immensly (<36hz) but on the 40hz+ it doesn't do so well. Amp settings are LPF at 63hz, subsonic approx 30hz. Voltage is good, always at 13v or above. Any advice ?

so i finally came to a decision on what subs i wanted to go with and i chose the havocs! they will be going in this enclosure 6.2 cuft 32hz with this amp saz-3000d should sound pretty good

okay so i was wondering what i should do...the gains were set with an o scope, everything installed correctly, box size was good, no clipping ...it literally just tore straight in half...has to be one of the colest things i have ever seen...everything looked right in the box but when i pulled it out the cone was in half..i know there is no fixing it but i was wondering if maybe i could just get a new cone/dust cap put on the old basket ....by the way it is a 12" aresenal......i still have the voice coil and spider and the motor and basket are still in mint mint condition and i feel it would be a waste to just throw it......so can i "fix" it anyway or should i just make a …

Help me out. Just found a new, unused Ascendant Audio Avalanche 15" subwoofer. Application is for SQ. Looking at sealed design. Wondering what is the ideal dimensions for this beast. Thanks for being patient.

Man I love Mayhem subs. This one is going in 2.8 cuft tuned to 32 with 50 sqin of port. Massive Nano N4 (2000 RMS) for power.

Something seems slightly wrong on the AA website regarding the dual 2 ohm AA Chaos 10 inch. Using the T&S figures given on site the box size for a sealed enclosure seems wrong, when I calculated it out if the box is 0.6 cu ft (min. size) the system QTC is 0.55 which is of course very low and for 1.0 cu ft (max. size) the QTC is 0.49. So what is wrong the T&S figures or min and max box sizes.

Hey guys, I need to know how much space the 10" Assassin displaces. I was sure I would be able to find it on the AA website, or on the Internet somewhere, but no luck. If someone happens to know the answer or could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate the help.

Has anyone been able to get in contact with ANYONE at AA.. I've called (phone goes to VM) emailed everyday for the past 4 days, been emailing for over 2 weeks.. and have gotten no luck in contacting AA.. I ordered recones for a customer and paid over 3 weeks ago also a sub I received with a damaged basket that rendered the sub unplayable un-mountable unusable, I opted for them to send a basket and recone over 3 weeks ago and haven't heard from them since sept 17th 2012 where i was told it was going out the next day, I know it doesn't take 3 weeks to get here.... Normally i wouldn't be so worried but the 15" mayhem took almost 2 months to get here broken and now it's taki…

Were those the AA Polys you were running? Can I get some specs on em like rms, impedance, mounting depth, xmax, sensitivity? And finally how much do they cost? Thanks alot!
