Ascendant Audio

Hey guys, i wanted to know guys think a 15' aa mayhem would fit in my hatchback mitsubishi eclipse 99... And what amp do you guys think would be good with that sub? I was thinking saz 25/30/3500?? And if you guys have an amp that would compliment the sub i would be more then interested to purchase! Thanks

I'm almost ashamed to post the "before" pic, but I'm more into function than form and the sweet sounds of the poly mids/Vifa tweeter combo made up for it. Aluminum panel is to plug the hole left by my old JBL comps. Not the worst I've ever seen, but pretty unsightly. There's another mid behind the stock grill. I had planned on doing some fiberglass pods, but don't really care for the look of them. Too custom or whatever, just wasn't my thing. Here's what I started with:

Time to upgrade. Think I am going to do 2 SMD's now so the Mayhems need to go. Since this is a forum for Ascendant Audio I might as well let that be known here. The mayhems are Fing amazing, but as alot of people in the car audio field see....there is always louder. lol. That being said...whats the price on 2 18inch SMD's and where would a recommended place be to sell the 2 18 inch mayhems that I currently have?

I'm a soon-to-be Ava18 user. However, I'd like to get the cabinet started before the driver arrives, so I can plug, play, and grin. So if someone could confirm the dimensions I have, and fill in the ones I'm missing, I'd appreciate it. OD (with gasket): 18.5" OD (sans gasket): ??? Also, assuming the driver is recessed by .75" (mounted on the inner layer of a double baffle) how much clearance should I leave for the grille? I just got my Fi hoodie, but am now running AA subs. Any chance there will be AA apparel?

So I've done my research and found numbers ranging from 1400-2200. Considering I will have 2750 rms on tap for this puppy, I would like to know a more accurate recommendation for daily power handling from either personal/professional experience. My setup is in signature. I ask because I would like set the amp via oscilloscope. I have a tendency to go overboard with everything. ok i allways thought chad was still in charge of AA, but just had scott help him design the subs. as i was reading in the other thread though it appears that chad has his own companey "epic audio" so does this mean that he is no longer assciated with AA? if so who is in charge?

Hey guys, i drive a 2004 saturn ion, and first of all. Not using the trunk. Puting bucket seats down and putting the box on that and building my amp space in trunk by battery. Wondering some good specs for box you can reply to i can start building . I also want it double baffled and double baffled faceplace. Powering the beast with kicker kit 09PKD1, and AQ2200D.

Hello All, I am just curious to know what can cause a woofers suspension to weaken? As stated in the thread title this is in reference to a Havoc 12" that I have had for a little over a year. I have never overpowered the sub and have always set the gains properly with an O-scope, and after doing so I have always turned the sub output on my deck way down into the negatives to get it to blend properly with my components. The amps I have used on the sub are the Sundown SAE-1000D, SAE-1200D, and most recently the SAZ-1500D. The box I have been using is two cubic feet tuned to 32Hz. Hi guys I just recently got an 18" AA Chaos and just put it in my car and i must say im extremely happy. I am surprised at the SQ this subwoofer has! The transitions between bass lines are so smooth, it handles highs great. And im still breaking it in! Compared to my older subs (Soundstream T415, RF HX2's) i must say this stuff is the best ive ever heard. Ive got it on a Mac Audio Fearless 1000 (~900wrms), in a 7cuft box tuned to 34hz. in the near future i am goin to build a box for HAVOC 18 what do u think of this design i made...will it work?? box: W=37 D=23 H=19 port width=5 box volume=6.2 tuning frequency=32 i excluded aprox. 0.25 (ft3) for the sub... the SUB should be in the middle of the box .. your opinions

I live in Ohio and I dont think there are any dealers around here so where can I purchase a sub?

Ive been all over the forum trying to figure out which sub would work best for me and I still havent come to a conclusion. Most recently, Im thinkin about either a 12" Chaos or 12" Havoc. I have a 2.5 cubic ft box ported and Im planning on buying an audiopipe ap10001d or ap15001d depending on which sub I choose. I drive an infiniti sedan so the box will be in the trunk. I am currently running on Fi X 12 at 2ohms with 250 watts from a fosgate prime and it sounds good for a $250 setup but I want an increase in SPL without having to build a new box. Is the Havoc worth the extra money in my situation or will the Chaos being a satisfying upgrade from the Fi X? I know it can be…
