Ok so this is probably not the best place to post this but i needed a final "ok" from some people who know their stuff and i know most everyone on here does so that is why im asking. I am ordering my stuff, probably before the 24th since there is a sale on the amp i want, and just wanted to make sure im making the right choice and wont regret anything and that this will work... This is what im buying: - 1 Fi Q 15" 2-ohm (im assuming DVC so i cant wire it to 1-0hm?) ($304) - 1 Sundown Sae-1200D amp wired to 1-ohm ($310) - Alpine CDA-9886 ($300) - KLM 1/0 Amp Kit ($53) - KLMX 1/0 Silver pwr. wire. 10 ft. for the "Big 3" ($18) - Streetwires 12-gauge speaker wire 25 ft. could this be done fairly inexpensively? Would this continue with the excellent sq that tc2+ subs have, and be made to work in small to medium boxes? thanks, brian

  3. Thanks to everyone at Fi Car Audio. So much for 3-7 days lead time...Ordered Saturday and was shipped Mon or Tues. Decided to go back from the Aq Hdc315 to the new 09 Bl 15. It's great to have the Fi SQ back. And god does it just absolutely slam and hit the notes with absolute accuracy. Especially, during rock double bass. Ive seen little about the 09 BL so I thought I would post my thoughts and pics. This is my 3rd Fi sub and every time, I am happy about the money and time spent. Can't wait to put more time and it and see how she does after break in. Sincerely, Mike Giessen Mike Giessen Racing inc.

Ok I'm sure some will get a kick out of this, but this is my first time with an Fi sub. I have everything wired up and just have to screw the sub into the box, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. It looks like the whole surround is metal with rubber on top. There are some partial holes on the bottom of the metal but they don't match up with anything on top. I'm just a little confused because I thought this would be the easiest part, and I figured I would ask before I go about damaging the sub with a drill. Sub is 12" BTL N2. I've had it for years and never got around to installing it until now.

So I bought my Fi Q 15" a little over a year ago but due to a DUI its only gotten about 4 months if that of playing time. I just got my license back so i was excited to finally get to hear it again. After only a couple of days it shot out a large cylindrical metal piece through the dustcap. The dust cap is fractured but the the insides of the sub look fine(coils and whatever else i can see). I've never seen this happen before in person or online. I have it in about a 4 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz. Its on a USAmps XT2000D and definately not recieving full power for the sub and the gains are turned down. I didn't change anything in the setup since i last drove it a year a…

To get the word out, I think it would be helpful to understand where you first heard about Fi and of course how you ended up visiting their forum at SSA. For me it was right here on SSA, and I am glad that they chose their home here!

Ok so ups delivered my 2 15" btl's today and needless to say I was anxious to put them in. So I used a box that FC designed for me but the cutout is too big. I put them in anyways and get it sop hooked up. Yo I played the first song and I couldn't believe how loud it was! The 2 subs were just as loud as my 4 15's that I had in my previous setup! I can't believe how loud it is! And I was talking about getting 2 18's! To say the least I am very satisfied! I have to keep the gain down because my lights were dimming and also because the subs are leaking a lot of air because of the cutout! Just to imagine that these subs will be louder is amazing! Good looking out on all the…

I just ordered a BL 12 ohm duel 1. I am not very savvy at all with any of this stuff but know i want good stuff and it to sound good. One of my friends is selling a class D amp rated at 5000watts, I do not know the name of the amp right now, but hes selling it for 150$ because he needs money right now. Of course I dont want to push out 5000watts on my sub lol but I could get a capacitor for it and bring it down to what I want it to be at? I dont really know what im talking about so some help would be much appreciated! And yes, I am having a professional install the sub for me when I get the sub.

Hello Fi, A friend of mine has a pro audio set up, and needs to know if it is possible to have recone kits for some Aura subs. They use Neodymium (?) . He loves how they sounds, they play low and loud ! I can show you pics of the drivers when he send them to me. He has several ones to recone, they are very old ! These speakers won't go in a car, just in big boxes for live events. thanks

Im new to the sub game. Looking for a pretty inexpensive setup that i can play everyday and that hits hard. I was looking at Fi's products and maybe just 1 ssd 15" would be nice or should i get 2 12" or just 1 18" could do what i want. Should i just forget about the 18" because of the cost of a ported box and amp and head unit would be alot? I just basically need help on which subs to pick, amp, and head unit that would be inexpensive. Thanks.

I would like to go with 1 12", the enclosure size will fit on my back seat, that's why... so my amplifier is a kenwood KAC-9105D rated at 500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (900 watts x 1 at 2 ohms) and 1ohm stable, the output regulated at 900 watts... and the last sub i got is a fck'n kenwood excellon who is the top of the line of kenwood and in 1 month i cooked the coils... : ( the sub was a 12" 600 watts rms and 2000 watts peak and is a dual 4 ohms. Ive spent a lot of time looking for an amp for the FI BL 15 that's on its way to my house. I don't want to spend much over $300 for an amp so do you guys know any good amps for about $300 or less? I was kinda looking at the Power Acoustik BAMF5500/1D but i really dont know how good of an amp it is.

Album of Fi BTL 15 Pictures I have a Btl 15 fully loaded with Cooling, HiXm coil, Inner Heat Sink, daily Driver, dual 2s. I was recently looking at my sub and found that the spiders were starting to crack. I thought maybe the motor was bending the frame and causing the coils to scrape. I had a friend post on a forum about frames bending and they all said the frame would crack and break before it would bend. I do not know if I got a faulty frame or what but my frame is bent which made the sub not be centered and caused the coils to scrape on the motor and put extra force on that side of the spider . I have pictures and measurement to show what I am talking about. Also on…

This will be going in the bed of a truck and using a blowthrough. After much consideration, I decided to downgrade my system a little, well, halve it to the above. All 3 will be in a ported enclosure obviously. I listen to everything, but mainly rap and love some good SPL. SO, what would you do and if you want, why...... Would go with 4 15's all around, but dont wanna lose my entire bed of the truck. 4 12's can fit straight across with ports on the top.
