Hey Scott, I emailed you, but read that other recone thread about not supposed to email you other then shipping, so I thought I'd post here. (And sorry I didn't read that sticky earlier) Anyway, In previous emails, we discussed reconing a 12" Adire Brahma MKIII, and I have the sub packed and ready to go. I just need a quote on the cost of shipping the sub back to me when it's done. I live in Honolulu, HI 96819. Thanks.

This is my first box. I just wanted to know what everyone thought about it. It will be made of 3/4 MDF and its for a 15" FI Q. Its tuned to 29hz, and is about 4.5cuft. I have a crude drawing below. Just tell what you think. Thanks.

Do you think a Soundstream PCA2000D would give me enough power to push two 15" or 18" Qs? If so would I purchase dual 2 or 1 ohm subs? If I wanted to get the full power out of the amp I would have to go with the 1 ohms, but how would I wire them? This amp is only stable at 1 ohm right? Would a .5 ohm load put too much stress on the amp? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  15. First show with the BL18's finally playing in the wall, didnt do dbdrag, but managed a 148.3 for bass race....I was pretty happy considering we still havent done any testing on it Lots of work to do yet, the baffle (5 layers thick) was still flexing like a mofo, so we def. need some bracing. Still have to tune the wall as well, woofers getting a little warm and smelly :-) Love the subs, def seeing a 150+ bass race in the near future!! I'll try and post pics soon...

thanks to scott and FI.i just won the NSPL amature 1200 amp - 2400 amp current draw class and set the world record with a 163.1 dash and a 163.9 hardcore with bad batteries.FI rocks, great subs.voltage droped to 10.3volts when i burp from 16.7 volts so i'm happy with that.i know it will do a 165+ with these subs.4 -btl's 18's fully loaded and poweracoustik a3000db amps.again thanks scott and FI.

Hi my name is charlie , Mike Bartell suggested that i contact you guys. I am building a street max 1-2 truck , and am looking for the most efficent sub i can get as this class only allows a single battery . I'm interested in 2-15" subs that will take burps of 3000-4000 watts of clean power. Many companies have these 20,000 plus watt woofers and i fear that they will be too ineficent for my application. Thanks in advance for your time Charlie

Pulled a 145.4dB at 47hz in the kick...Now too bad in my opinion considering the box is 8ft^3 net tuned to 33hz...The subs are getting about 800 watts each.. They definitely had a lot more low end than every other daily driving system that I heard at the comp.. Many people were interested in my subs, and I gave out Fi's website several times! Imagine I could get a 147 or so if I got another box that was more SPL oriented..That may be in my future plans.

To Whom It May Concern (probably Scott), My name is Brad and I currently run a DIYMA 12" subwoofer in a .5ft^3 box. The DIYMA is an amazingly solid sub with HUGE stacked magnets, but its weak point is definitely its cone. Unfortunately, my cone cracked with less than 150 watts and gain set properly. So I am requesting a custom recone kit for my DIYMA. It has a 3" x 2" 4 layer voice coil. This sub is pretty beefy (37lbs) so shipping it would be a last resort. Can you create a new recone kit for this sub? All information on the sub can be found at www.diymobileaudio.com and I can personally talk to the designer of the sub if you need more information. Thank you. -Brad

I would like to get this sub reconed to 10" for SPL only. It is rated at 600 watts rms but I have burped it at over 5k no issues. Dual 2 woofer. What kinda options do I have as far as recone goes? Got some pics here:
