I have had a 15" BL for about 2 weeks now, and all I can say is wow. The sub looks and performs great. I have it on an orion 2500D @ 1ohm and it has not failed me yet. Even though it is rated at 1000 watts, with the options im sure it could take over 3000. It gets alot louder than my RE XXX 15" and just about as low. I cant wait to put it on the TL and see what it can do.

Hi, this is Logan from ecoustics. This is my FI BL 15" Dual 2ohm. It is powered by an Orion 2500D @ 1ohm. I have it in a 3.5cuft enclosure @36hz. This sub is by far the best I have ever had. It get way louder than my RE XXX 15" on the same amount of power. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/5/330070.html

I went through many different subs, and box designs before deciding on FI...however, once I read a little bit about them, i was hooked and ordered as soon as my check came in... I was so excited, I build the box in my house(its 0 out side) cause I didnt wanna be in the garage, and I took a half day on wed to meet the UPS guy and on Friday to Finish the install and test i…

Here my Review of the 18" BL. When i first seen the UPS guy drive up, i was very anxious. i actually ran up to the truck. It was Very funny to see the UPS Guys Struggle with the box. I Knew the box would be big, But this Box is very huge as you can see in the picture. MY first look i was like WTF? So i managed to get the box in my room i immediately Pulled out my knife to open the box. Once i opened the box i seen the Sub in the Plastic MY eyes GREW!!!! ive never seen an sub so big! even my mom was shocked. once i pulled the sub out the box i were even more amazed. the pictures on the website just doesnt give u any justice to how this sub really look in reality. it's way b…

I have a sundown 1500 that I will be getting soon, but I am trying to decide if I should go with the Sundown and a 15" BL fully loaded or if I should buy 1 10" BL fully loaded and wait probably 8 months for another sundown and BL 10". So can anyone tell me what the 10" BL sounds like, i have never heard a 1700 Watt 10" sub before...

I love to hear stories about driving daily with your Fi subs and something peculiar happening.... So i thought I'd be fun to create a thread where we can share a funny story about our daily driving experience.... I am a big fan of steve meade (how can you not idolize a guy that can pour that kind of money into his systems) So i put in my two new amps and battery (1K each sub and now no voltage dropping).. My cousin who has been with me since day one of car audio was there for the initial install of the Fi subs (with 500 wats each no battery and voltage loss down to 11.8 +/-).... So myself and my 11 year old son installed the new amps and battery.... took it for a whirl ad…

I got my first BTL 18 about 5 months ago, fully loaded dual 2 ohm version. It was the fist 18 I'd purchased or even heard in person, so I was a bit skeptical because of the mixed things people say about larger drivers as far as quality go. The last two setups I had owned were a kicker L7 15 in 5cubes tuned around 32hz, and and alpine type-x 12 in 1.1cube tuned around 32hz. I had been trying to find a very loud woofer that still sounded half decent, and while the alpine sounded nice, and the kicker got loud, neither did both very well. The kicker was very loud though, so I was really trying to find something that could out-do it. When I started trying to find out about the…

To get the word out, I think it would be helpful to understand where you first heard about Fi and of course how you ended up visiting their forum at SSA. For me it was right here on SSA, and I am glad that they chose their home here!

Over the past year alone I have been through almost a half dozen systems in the constant quest to find a sub that was not only loud, but sounded decent doing so. I've owned Alpine, Kicker, and many other brands in between. I would only purchase one sub at a time in order to decide if it was worth buying more than one, and I never bought more than one. I had never owned an 18 inch woofer, and having owned 10s, 12s, and 15s, I wanted to try the next biggest step, especially since my 99 Yukon had the room to accomodate the system. After I had placed my order for an 18" dual 2ohm BTL with cooling, 3rdMagnet, and HiXmCoil, I began to beef up my electrical system in anticipatio…

OK, as many of you know the forum crashed during an update and we lost the past 6 months worth of posts and info. This forum is such a valuable tool for customers, new and old, to post questions, reviews, and use as a database to search from. So... I want things built back up and fast. I am hammering out all the details of what this little contest will be and how exactly all the free stuff will be handed out... shirts/stickers. But it looks like it will boil down to this: 1. For those with Fi products: A. Start a detailed topic with description of your system using Fi subs... pics (are a must even if they are off a bad camera phone), enclosure design, amps(s) use…

Well, my brother purchased a kicker L7 12 about a year ago, and was powering it with a 1kw kenwood amp that really put out more like 3-400, and after selling him my bxi2006d he noticed that he kept hearing a slapping type sound. He pulled it out of the box and you could just smell the coil, and the sub was very hot to the touch. It wasn't the tinsels slapping or anything, it was something inside. He probably messed it up with that crappy old amp, so now he wants a new sub. With the hifonics amp I suggested a dual 2ohm BL with cooling, flatwind, and p chamfer options. This is going in the center console of his chevy 2500, which we'd really be making the box into a center c…

I have 2 18 inch ssds dual 1 ohm with 2000 watts series parelell with the hifonics 2006d and when i turn it up i get a real strong glue smell. My gain is only just past half with the bass boost at 10 O' clock and i tried a couple different 1 ohm wiring diagrams, is it the smell of the box or are my coils burning?

Hey so i jsut bought a dvc 2ohm 15q. Now i was wondering if the gauge of wire i run inside the box to the sub matters? I have some 8 guage wire layign around but the spring terminals on the subwoofer itself will not hold 2x 8 guage wires which would be necissary to wire the sub to .7ohm. ..... http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learning...mpedance=DVC2x2 If anyone knows if i can use liek 12 guage or like 16 guage for this let me know, or if you have any ideas of how i can get two 8 guage wires into the spring terminal.
