Ok got the cut out.. Now I need to know how the hell to install this thing. The rubber surround comes off(the part with the holes on top and bottom...So i pulled on it...and theres no holes through the basket..I dont want to go drilling through the sub so im wondering whats going on...

Well today i recieved the Dustcap for the Fi X 10 i was going to write a review on, (thanks Scott) and went out to the garage to glue her on so i can get some listening in tomorrow. Welli get out there and my CA glue is rock solid, i havent used it in probably a year so i guess it was time for it to harden up. So i guess i gotta wait now til i can make it down to Hobbytown or somethign to get some glue, as i dotn wanna play it at all without the dustcap because that wont be a "fair" review. Recently a memeber of ROE stated that someone (a dealer) was trying to sell him FI SSDs at an inflated price. I have a 15Q and i made a box for it. The box is 3.146 cubic feet. I have two 3" tube ports and i need to know how long they need to be to achieve a tuning of around 33-35 hz. Thank you in advance.

I have a single 10 right now and will be upgrading with a second soon. I would like to know if these subs can handle maybe 900 watts for a daily driver? Dual 2 ohm DVC and box at 2 cubic feet.

I updated the sticky section just now, and after sitting here for a few hours i'm taking a break lol. So i built a box and everything was lookign good. I ordered two 3" port tubes. I tried to put the box in my car without the face board on and it fit. However with the front board on it did not. I had to therefore inset the board changing the demensions of the box a bit. The box demensions are now 25.5 X 17 X 16.75. How long do my 3 inch port tubes need to be to achieve a tuning of 33hz. The woofer i have is the 15Q so displacement is .19 cubic feet. Thanks for the help.

are they specific break-in instruction for the SSD? What is the procedure. Will they come with the woofer ? In the reviews i noticed they sound better over time. Is this typical as things start to loosen up and get moving?

I;m trying to buy an 18ssd and put it in my acura. The only way to really do so is to use tube ports instead of slotted to decrease the volume of the box. I dont really know how to do it. i went to this site called klaus audio and it designed one for me. I however don't know if it is legit. if you are going to use 2 10" FI subs in 1 box with 1 port does the port still use 16 sq in per cf? or does it double to 32 sq in? what would be optimal for 2 10" BL's Also would 2 10" BL's @ 1500 rms each be louder than 1 10" BTL @ 3000 rms? So I checked last night UPS said Shipped, FI said shipped and its schedualed for next wed. I am very happy. But now Im starting my box build And I think Iv changed things a little.. I was running 6 cubes Net Volume. That was perfect for me as it just maxed out my the dimensions I could use...However, I think that in reality after displacements ill be down around 5 cubes... Is that enough? Or should I bump the box up to 7 net cubes? Any advice? Thanks

How many watts do i need to push a fully loaded 15" btl(daily)?

Hey all, I had to make a new username I guess because of the crash..anyways The dustcap on my Q is getting very warm. I am using my BXi-1500d, which probably does an actual 1000w @ 1ohm. I have the Dual 2 coils. The gain is set 1/2 way on the amp, the sub pre-out is @ +6, which basically uses the full voltage (2.2v). I don't think I can be overpowering the Q. And there is a funny smell, not sure if it's the VC glue or the VC melting itself. What should I do, because I don't think I am overpowering the Q with this amp. Here is a video BTW:

It's 3 cuft tuned @ 33 hz and it's going in a 2001 Dodge Durango. I'm getting the plexi etched at my laser shop and it should slam. This is my first install w/ Fi products and let's hope it's not my last.
