Alright pair of fi bl 12's just came in. Just showing some sweet pics and one question about the subs. I ordered them with cooling and the flatwind option. What is the best amp i could get for the Fi Q at a 2ohm load for about 250 dollars?

Hey all, I had to make a new username I guess because of the crash..anyways The dustcap on my Q is getting very warm. I am using my BXi-1500d, which probably does an actual 1000w @ 1ohm. I have the Dual 2 coils. The gain is set 1/2 way on the amp, the sub pre-out is @ +6, which basically uses the full voltage (2.2v). I don't think I can be overpowering the Q. And there is a funny smell, not sure if it's the VC glue or the VC melting itself. What should I do, because I don't think I am overpowering the Q with this amp. Here is a video BTW:

Might be getting a Chevy Avalanche at the end of the week... Planning a system for it since it will be my new daily ride. I know that I can fit 6 18s inside there, but the airspace is small. Would be around 2.8 sealed per sub, then I would polyfill the heck out of the inside of the box. That would get each sub seeing around 3.4 cubes roughly. They would be in a sideways clamshell, so that would help them load off each other. Think I could get away with this with any of the subs FI/AA makes? Maybe the SSD? Q? Chaos? Havoc?

Trying to get in contact with anyone at Fi is impossible, so maybe someone can help me out. Scott emailed me about 2 months ago saying that it was 75$ to re cone my SSD and add a few little upgrades. Now, can my SSD be re coned into a Fi Q? And how much would it be. I know the baskets are the same. When you send the sub back, do i have to pay for Shipping both ways? How does this whole thing work. I'm not going to pay for the re cone up front because what if they don't send my Sub back and i get screwed. Will they send me a bill in the mail of how much it cost for the re cone and for them to ship it back to me? Sorry for the questions, im Very new to this. Thanks Rulayd

#583 Just looking or an update, I sent a message on FB, the Fi email, and nothing, and have waited about 6 days since I sent one last.

I'm wondering how long does it take to get a refund for an order. I want the driver but I can't wait any longer for it. As I have out of town business to attend to. So how long. Has any one ever had to wait to get a refund from FI before? So far that is the only part of my build missing and I already missed a local show because my driver is late. Can someone shine some like here. Thanks

how long does it take for the btl to break in? ive heard the subwoofer break in is a myth

so allways hear people talk about how there dust cap is warm is it normal blah blah... and then say some or one is warmer then tha other......... but i never see people ask how hot is too hot!>? i know it will be warm just knowing how a sub works i know it will be warm... mine arnt too hot.. i dont think they are!

First my brothers now mine and I've read of several others... So of course I had to go about fixing it... So i ordered a sub for a buddy of mine for his birthday. Literally 24 hours later he impulse bought a sub himself from a friend of his. In short, I ordered a sub 24 hours ago, payment processed, order just got switched to awaiting fulfillment...so I know there are another 10-15 business days before the sub is built. I needed to cancel and refund this order ASAP so I dont end up with a sub for nobody. I have sent sales an email, but I have seen issues about response time. Has anyone had experience with refund/returns/cancellations? If so, how did you go about it?

I fried the coils on my Crossfire BMF XT15 and cant seem to find a place to get a crossfire re-cone.... I was wondering if Fi could/would recone it. Please let me know if someone can help. Thanks, Cody

Is it comparable to the Q or BL? i just want 1 12" sub that will sound nice and still get loud in a ported box. this is my first option. Or i would get 2 12" CV vmax. either would be powered by a kicker zx750.1(900rms) Opinions?

Hey guys. I found a BL 15 for $230 and couldnt pass it up. Anyway I have a BL 15 with the cooling and daily option. The new one has the flatwind and SPL option. Would putting both of these in the same box cause problems? Would playing music through the SPL option sub be an issue?

Posting for a friend..he's had his BTL for week....and we are both kinda curious how this happens and if there is any type of warrenty, figuring the VC is still 100% fine, the sub still plays and all. P.S. I can't seem to get a response from Scott....I still need a shim to align the gap and one screw to mount the basket to the motor (had to use an easy out on one of them).
