Alright.. first of all excuse my terminology.. probably use some 'wrong' terms in this post, bare with me here is some backround.. 1 18"BTL, 1 SAZ1500D, 2 Kinetik HC2000's, all 1/0 knu wire. Had some guy build a box for me.. thought he knew what he was doin.. i could have been wrong.. the box seems strong.. very huge. I dont know the exact Cu Ft of the box, he told me tuning was around 32hz. This is my first big system.. ive had tons of 12's but no 15's or 18's. Im going to set my voltage with a DMM here in a little while (post my math under for verification). 1) This BTL is insane.. the output blows me away.. hits so damn hard when it hits.. but as far as musical its j…

Right now I have cheap Duals from best buy, so this is why I call this my first "real" system. Originally I had no idea what I was looking for, just that I wanted good sound quality since its a daily driver and I wanted it LOUD. I ran across a few choices and like the AudioQ HDC3's, but I figured I'd go with the FI Q's instead as I've heard they get pretty loud while still sounding extremely good. Heard great things about FI as a company as well. I am driving a 00 4-door sunfire so fitting a very large box isn't really going to happen. I have enough trunk space to fit a larger box to fit two 12's (maybe), but the problem is getting it into the trunk. So my options are ei…

  6. OK well i had this box i made in my single cab pick up for my single cab pickup and well atm its tuned pretty low....i hit lows real badass...but the highs suck. SOOooo i am going to go ahead and make a new box that will be tuned differntly. What do you all prefer i mean i want loud bass that can be felt and heard. THe lows can be felt nicely and i can do small window shakes but i was told if i tune the box higher it would hit harder but of course lose sq.... I was thinking of tuning my box to 36. The subs btw are 2 Fi Bl 12'. Well the question i am really asking i guess is what would i achieve if i tune the box low(30) compared to high(37) My videos here http://www.youtu…

Im looking to do a similar swap like Chris did from his TDXs to a "Q"....... I plan on using my eD 9.1 for power and I am having Woodlawn make me a small ported enclosure for my Silverado...... Musicly all i listen to is classic rock,70s,80s...old school disco and new wave (yea yea,im old) I love my TDX in my little hatchback but its very large in depth and hard to make fit the truck As for comps,im still searching but it looks like a set of DLS UP6s are in my future w 150x2 for power.... Being into SQ and liking it loud - is the Q the way to go,maybe one of FI's other offerings? thoughts

I went on a trip today and one of my subs stopped working. I noticed that one of the coils was no longer working. The coils were series so I just ran the one sub and eventually one of its coils stopped working also. I tested the coils with an ohm meter and each sub has a coil that reads open. Am I right that something like this is not covered under warranty? I am not really sure why the coil opened up since I was probably giving the subs no more than 1500 watts between the two. I also have a voltage meter in my car and noticed that my voltages stayed around 14 volts when the first one blew while on the highway. These subs are dual 1 ohm coils and I am powering them…

I've ordered a lot of equipment from many various companies and never experienced such concise, respectful, and businesslike as Fi gives.I made several mistakes when creating my online account and ordering and they fixed all they could, next business day... astounding! Can't wait on my sp4 to come in... if the same work ethic goes into the making of my product that goes into customer service, I expect I will be more than pleased.

I was wondering if anyone has managed to put one or 2 15" FI audio subs in an extended cab ranger. I have a 95 that I would like to upgrade. I currently have 2 Jensen competition series 12's in a deathbox II and its just not enough for me. I have seen 15" subs in rangers before, but I would worry about fitting a big enough box so they sound nice, and FI subs seem to need slightly larger boxes than some other 15s BTW, If anyone is selling USED amps or subs that are in good shape, I would love to know!

  24. Just got my recone for my RE SX, got it fully loaded with drilled compression plug. This is my first time dealing with the compression plug, so I just want to make sure I apply it correctly. It goes on the inside of the coil gap between the coil and underneath the dustcap right? It probably won't be able to stay in place, so would I need to glue it down?
