Just looking at the ssd's and noticed the option. my guess is increased power handling but i could be way off.

Well I got used to my one bl and now I want something louder. My current setup is a memphis 1500d (1500 watts @ 2ohm) pushing one 15" fully loaded bl in 3.8cuft tuned to 32hz. Thats after all displacement. So I have another 1500d sitting in the closet that I want to use as well. I figure I can fit a 7 cuft box maybe 8 if im lucky. What do you guys think I should do, get another 15" bl or sell mine and get something else? I would like to stay with fi subs and this is for a daily setup.

At the end of this month I will be purchasing an Fi Q12 for the great north. It will be installed in a 2005 jimmy 2door with lots of room. Atm I plan on using a Sounqubed Q1-1200D. At 2 ohms it states 870x1 at 2ohms and 1470 at 1ohm. Im wondering do you think running it at 2ohms will give the Q12 enough power that it sounds good and not sluggish or do I have to go at 1ohm. Will running it at 1ohm take away some of the reponse/clearness of the Bass? Should I go with the Q1-2200D for 2ohm? Would rather not do that as it is almost 200 bucks more. planning on using a ported box unless you have a better suggestion. Thnx. This is the beginning of a new build. Other component…

ok guys so i came across an alt on ebay and its pretty and i was wondering if you guys could take a look at it and let me know what you guys think because i just dont have the funds right now to buy a dc as much as i want too. In my search for some subs I've been pointed to this forum. I'm looking to replace a set of 12'' Type-R's. The Type-R's were a decent SPL sub but I'm looking more for SQ. I'm hoping to achieve the SQ and SPL same as, or close to a W7. I listen to 50/50 rap/rock. As of now my plan is...... 2 12" Q Series 2ohm Box & Amp: 2 Alpine MRD-M1005's (each 1000x1 at 2ohm) Sealed rectangular Box 1.3 cuft per sub 1999 4 door Tahoe. behind the second row, subs facing downwards Also... I have no idea what the BP does. Whats recommended RMS with that option. Thanks for the help Alex

im thinking to get a FI BL, i've got now an hifonics asx 15 subwoofer i just wanna go much louder, and maybe is the quality of the BL sound even better to?

So I've decided to get a sundown SAE-1000D to go with a 12" Fi Q and I have one question before I go ahead and order them. For the sundown amp, do I want to order the Q with the dual 1 or dual 2 ohm option? And would I need the BP power option as well? Thanks Ryan

I like loud and yes the 4 Q15's Sealed in LOUD!!!!, but I think I may change up so I don't have such a huge box in the back. When I was running only 2 Q15's ported in my magnum, my boy was running the single 18" BTL ported in his Impala and we were hitting identical #'s. He was pushing the BTL with a Power Acoustic 2000 and I was pushing the 2 Q's with a US Amps MD2. We both metered 152.7 legal on an AC mic. Once I stepped up to a 4 pack of Q15's and an IA 40.1 @.5ohms, I got about a 5 db increase and alot of air movement, which makes for nice hair videos..... ok everyone I just installed my 2 - 12" fi Bl's running off a RF 2000.1 ....Tomorrow (6-17-09) there is a local car show thrown by a radio station in my city and i would like to enter into the "bass-off" and "bass-race"competition. this will be my first time doing any competition like this and i would like some advice on how i should approach it: such as .....should i play music or use like a bass cd or even use like a test tone cd. am i supposed to have the windows up or down? It's been bout a week now I haven heard anything bout my subs and recone when are they going to be shipped

I just looked at my woofers, and noticed the "Chrome Red Fi" is coming off the cone. It isn't peeling from the edge (like at tip of the F or I as if something peeled it back) It is coming from the middle part of the logo as it bends over the dust cap. It almost seems like the foil-ish vinyl is flexible enough to follow the curve of the dust cap? I think standard vinyl would have been fine? Anyway, anyone else have any issues like this? Is it possible to get replacement logo stickers for the dust caps?

Still waiting fulfillment for order placed on 2/12 I know it's tax season and all, just wondering if when they do get shipped am I going to get a tracking number so I can follow them and know when to expect them since I work all day and don't want them sitting in snow waiting to be snatched up. I am thinking of buying a 95-01 4 DR Blazer or 95-01 Explorer 4 dr and I want to start off with two 15" BL's (dual 1 ohm) ported and for the amp either a Sundown SAZ-3000D or a Hifonics Colossus. I was reading and the BL's seem to be what I want...The Q's are the Sound Quality woofer and The BTL is the all out SPL BASS MONSTER,and the SSD being the entry level woofer the BL' claims to fill the gap between the Q and the BTL. What ratio of SPL/SQ would you say the 15" BL's fit.Right now I have two 12" Type R's and they sound alright to me and get loud but I want more bass and better.I want those head craking hits and those low nut jumping shakes.I listen to lots of Metal …

Id like to say hi to every one since i am new to the forum. I am considering buying 2 Fi SSD 12" and i was wondering which amp would be the best for these subs. Also which gauge wiring would be best and any other things i would need to get the best performance out of these subs.

I know you guys are busy putting out the new BTL line, so I'm not faulting you here I just want to know: What is the status of my recone? It's been a month and I havn't gotten any word. And as far as I can tell your normal turn around is 2 weeks on recones. I packaged my motor well and included what I wanted done printed on a slip of paper, and even emailed you the same info. Alright, first post here, but I'm not a newb. Been building boxes and installing for 9 years or so. I just ripped my wall out of my 01 Implala (4 RE SX 15s, Mojo 4000d, 5 batts...) and I picked up a pair of Q18s from a friend of mine. The following equipment is being used: Alpine 9886, ID Chameleon Components, old school Orion 2500d (the all silver one) and an old Orion 300.2, alt is an Iraggi 200amp. After I ripped my wall out I ran just the 300.2 on my components and ended up with some horrible alternator whine. I've never had whine before.
