I got a F I Q motor with BP option from around 08' era. Would a zcon or a xcon recone fit in it..????

I have tried to get ahold of someone from Fi since apiril i have recieved one email back asking if he had helped me yet at the beginning of june. I have sent email after email and i have yet to get a reponse since then. i need to order a recone for a 18" n3 7 spider with sp4 basket. i am hoping someone on here will be about to help me out, i wish i would of waited the extra months and got a normal basket so i could order recones normally. i would go ahead and order normal baskets with recones but pending 65$ a piece extra right now and having to buy 2 recones instead of one isnt an option. thanks -getloud

I been to the Fi site and looked through the specs for my BL 15 and found 1000 watts rms. Is that a starting point? Do the subs handle more power as you add features, or do they just handle the 1k better.

after changing from goin bl to q...i wanna kno if i can still compete with em and still be in the high ranks(high 45+db)..if anyone has done it ...specially with a pair of 18 q's lemme know your score on TL and your enclosure specs...i have a an old(tricked out)corrolla hatch back...enclosure designs for optimum output??,..thanks!!

Ok so I'm trying to figure out what I want and I cnt rly figure out the diff between the Q Ssd and BL.. I know the q is the infinite baffle sub but what does that mean? I plan on getin two fifteens but I'm stuck on which one haha... So if anyone culd show me the light I'd appreciate it

Hey sup fi, i just grabbed a re xxx 04/05 model and it was recently reconed i was trying to find out the specs/what was put in it since i am interested in getting another one reconed. Apparently it has integrated leads,stiffer spider, fullsized dustcap, and an original xxx vc. I was trying to figure out if that is just the standard recone with the leads option and spider option or if i need to ask for something imparticular. The guy who i got it from said it was done by scott at fi and he should remember him by name since he went to fi and dealt with scott while there i was hopin he was right but either way the guys name was treston rego

I have the space for both, the power for both,and the money for both. But which sub hits the hardest, has soild lows and has good sound quality. Is it the SSD 15 or the Q 15? someone please help me out. Thanks How do you calculate displacement for a slot port?

I ordered an 18in Bl on 1/20/2013 using my dad's credit card and it sat there saying "awaiting payment" for a couple days now and I thought I put in some of the payment information wrong, so I reordered the sub using MY debit card. I've emailed Fi a few times and I just want to make sure that the first order doesn't get charged to my dad's card, I DO NOT WANT TWO SUBS!!!!! SOMEBODY FROM Fi PLEASE RESPOND.

Since HawaiianBassHead prompted me in my last post and I'm running a true 900 to 1000WRMS to each sub with less than .70cuft per sub in a my sealed box .....I added this bracing. Whats the concencus boys....good move or OVERKILL????? BEFORE AFTER Also my new terminal install. I like better than the terminal cup!

First show with the BL18's finally playing in the wall, didnt do dbdrag, but managed a 148.3 for bass race....I was pretty happy considering we still havent done any testing on it Lots of work to do yet, the baffle (5 layers thick) was still flexing like a mofo, so we def. need some bracing. Still have to tune the wall as well, woofers getting a little warm and smelly :-) Love the subs, def seeing a 150+ bass race in the near future!! I'll try and post pics soon...

I am looking into putting two 10' BLs into a new Camaro. My question is this: Will a Memphis PR1.1000 or MC1.1100 be enough to get them off the ground adequately? I know it's not going to push their peak, but I was looking at using two 10' Memphis C3s instead of the BLs, but I'd rather have the BLs because I'm sure that they will outperform the Memphis subs. Any help or input would be great, thanks!

i metered my new 12" Q last week and hit 139.6 on the dash. its powered by a orion xtr pro1000. I coulda turned it up more but i just wanted to see what it would do. somehow i got 1st place..maybe cuz there were only 3 other people in my class. one of these days im goin to see what it hits in the port cuz it pushes alot of air for just a 12. but yea its a beast and i havnt had any trouble at all with it. So when I first got my 2 12" btl's they got low and loud. I have had them almost a month and now they don't sound the same. It's late so I havent put a dmm on the so I don't know if something happened with the coils but I never smelt anything. One day they were hitting real low and I thought I heard a pop but they still sounded great, may I have over done it? Any ideas???

scott, i took my sub apart today and when i looked at the coil i found that my voice coil was really scratched up on one side, i dont know if its from me taking it apart or wut. i really doubt its from me taking it apart. i dont know how to put the pic up here so im just gonna email the pic to you. if its something with the magnet or motor i dont want this to happen to my new coils. please let me know wut u think.

Hello folks. I been a forum lurker for quite a while. I happened to run across a pair of Fi X 10 inch preproduction models. I have no clue as to the specs of these. A guy locally has them for sale..and I was very interested in them. Would anybody happen to know the specs(rms, suggested enclosure size) on the X's as I assume they were from the first run of the sub. Thanks

i ordered a fi btl and it was suppose to arrive yesterday. I was at work and wen i got home there was no note on my door so i can pick it up. Nobody was at home to sign for it so wat should i do? Do i need to contact UPS?

Im looking to buy a FI 15". The sub will be in a jeep. Which application would be the best? I was thinking about the BTL. For the most SPL which options should I add? Also what type of amp should I be looking at? Im not trying to spend a ton on an amp. I found a nice Planet Audio thats 3000@1ohm. Me and a buddy will build the enclosure. Let me know! Also...is the BTL alotttt louder than the BL?

Wondering if anyone has matched a passive radiator with the Q 12 before? If so what radiator, if not is there any recommendations? Looking at making a home theater sub

I have a new 15in Q that will be going into roughly 3.5cu after port and displacement. Would it be ok to use one 6in round port with flared ends? Looking for 28-29hz tuning. I can do 43.75sq in with a 3.5 x 12.5 slot port but the box will be much more difficult to build. Which would sound better? This will be a console style box, sub forward and port will fire into the side wall.

Hi, I have a strange issue that seems to be getting worse. Ill start from when I think it happened. My friend and I built a 4CF box for 2 FI SSD tuned to 30HZ. When we put the box in my cobalt I noticed that the wire terminals were upside down. I didnt care at the time I was just wanted it done for the time being. This was back in 2010. A few weeks later I decided to have my other buddy help me remove the box and put it in the right way.and reposition the subwoofers so that the labels looked the right way. When I was reorienting the subs I unhooked one completly to show my buddy,turns out when I hooked it up I wired the coils out of phase. I didnt know until I was on my w…

Whats the major diff between a 15" FI BTL and a 15" Ascendant Audio Mayhem? Features and Nitche market.... I mean, I thought I read that the same guys designed and build both.... Both look pretty sweet... I would not mind owning either... Just real quick as I'm at work, was crusing the net on break but the biggest difference I saw besides cosmetics was the Mayhem has Silver 8AWG Push terminals 2500W RMS vs the BTL Did not see anything about the terminals listed on the site for the BTLs 2000w RMA Looking at all the Parameters most of the specs seem pretty close... within a digt or two... I'm sure there are others, but thats all I saw in the time I had.... Just curious …
