hey im considering getting a 12" q with an alpine m1000 would these two work well together.? and do i get a d1 sub or a d2 sub to wire it at 2 ohms. thanks ~mike

I havent been on this forum in months so I did a lil update I am currently running 2 btls on 2 audioque 2200's. The subs are D/2 fully loaded. I have a 220 iraggi alt. The big 3, 4 kinetik 2400 batts and 1 yellow top under the hood. Here is a couple pics of the equip stripped from the car getting ready to upgrade. Now the question I was going to run the subs just 1 sundown 3500 wired to .5 ohms (just til I get the money to buy a second amp).But I read in another thread that it is hard on the subs. I didnt know that i thought it was only hard on the amps if your electrical couldnt back it up.

i would like to apologize to the fi and ssa forums for my outbursts at other users language and additude it is not my style.....i got a bit mad and lost my head....i do not like being called a liar for no reason... to doubt me is your right as an individual.....but to just bash me and slander my name is equally wrong but none the less i offer my apology to all that i offended...

Hey, my first post on the board! I like it so far and I expect to be posting a lot more on this forum. I'm very new to car audio, I just got my first set up about 2 months ago. I hahve 2 12 Ultra Linear Subs and 1 1000 XA Eclipse amp, yeah nothing great ( All for sale) My new set up I wanna go with a 15 BTL. I did a Google search for Brahma recones, and this was the only real result I got back. I know Fi's not Adire Audio, but I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I'm pretty sure I blew one or both voice coils on my Adire Brahma, and I was wondering if you sell recone kits, so I could take the sub to a local shop to get it reconed, or if I could ship the sub to you and get it reconed. The sub is a 15" Adire Brahma, Mk I or Mk II, I can't tell the difference, it's got the four spoke basket though. Dual 2 ohm voice coils. What the hell does this thing weight??? If I had to guess I guess from between 70-80 LBS.... Mine came today and I had it shipped to my Mom and Dad's house as I knew someone would be home to sign for it and take it in vs @ my house the UPS guy would leave it on the front porch for the neighbors to carry off.... Or tow away, with the weight of this thing... LOL... I must say, very nice on the packing job... If one of these comes damaged it was from the shippers neglect, not FIs.... Just a few more things (head unit, rest of the wire and some sound deadener) and I'll have everything... Still hoping for March or early April to have everything...

Hi all, I have built two 120 L cabinets two drivers per box in a dual opposed configuration (drivers facing out) I have been told that the std Qts drivers can sound peaky ? Can someone explains to me the term PEAKY. I have four Fi Q 15" first two orderd was dual 1 ohm but the second set I orderd later was dual 2 ohm so I will be having these changed back to dual 1 ohm as this suits my inuke amps. So it it worth having all my drivers changed to High Qts or is there not much difference between them ?? Thanks for any input

I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee and i am having a bit of trouble right now i have 1 Q15 pushin 1500w at 1 ohm and im wanting to throw in another 15 but i dont have the cubic feet i need cause of my spare tire and im not allowed to take it out cause of my parents and i cant find a rack or anything for it should i go with the 2 Q15s or go with 2 BL12's on 1500 watts a piece? Hello everyone, ok so i had just bought a 2005 honda civic a few days ago and want to put my 12" bl and my aq2200 in it. The honda civic has a 70a alt (terrible yes i know) and a 500 cca 85m reserve battery in it. what im wanting to do is the big 3 which i have my 0g on its way to my house and then upgrade the battery for now because i need to save up for a 170a dc alt. Got the box built today for the 2 BTL 18s, went over to a friends house it is 12 cubes @34hz with 150sq in port, Hifonics XX Goliath @ .7 ohms It Beats:D ... hard ran into a problem, one of the wires came undone and i couldnt figure out what happened, we didnt think anything was wrong at first, it was still crazy loud,but got everything fixed now box weighs a ton, top baffle is 3 layers thick, and the sub is flush mounted in some pics during the box build and some bad night shots the tools and speakers along for the ride Final Turnout: Since i fixed it, i havnt even went on it yet, only to about avg listening volume, got a good bit to go tomorrow :up2somet: neighbors…
