General Fi

Hi all, i know that 1/4-20 will work, but will 5/16-18 bolts work? i will be using tee nuts and bolts to hold the sub in. the sub is the Fi Car audio BTL 12". basically just want the biggest bolt that will work. im sure there are plenty of people out there that can measure the mounting hole size and the rubber seal c'bore size. I just want to get the stuff on order and installe din the boxes before the sub gets here so its a quick intall. also i would assume the 18"s have the same sized mounting holes and c'bore in the rubber seal? I made an order on Feb 24 for a long sleeve tee and a hat, and I still havnt recieved the order. The tracking info still says "pre shipment info recieved" or whatever, still in Los Vegas Nevada, and hasn't update at all. Can any Fi people help me out? Would be much appreciated

Whats up everyone i just received my 2 US amps (md-3d) 2000rms @ 1 ohm i am goin to be running 1 amp per sub 18" fi btl fully loaded just waiting for the subs to get in so i can build my box...cant wait to see these monster subs hopefully they are shipping out soon...........

Hi guys I was wondering if any of you have any tips for buying a H/O alternator? Currently I'm thinking of purchasing an Iraggi 260 amp dominator series alternator for my '03 Chevy Tahoe to power my 18" BL. The BL is being ran off of a kicker 1200.1 with kinetik hc 1400. Will the 260 amp H/O alt be enough for my BL?

I know the SQ of the Fi Q 12" is good. but will it still bump good in a 2^3 foot box off of 1200 rms???

I have a 2 cubic foot box ported at 32 hz, and a hifonics amp that puts out "1200" rms at 1 ohm. Would a BTL run ok with this setup???

Hello everyone, new to posting on this site. I just ordered a ssd 12" and a AQ1200d. I can't wait! My last setup was a pioneer champion pro 12" and i have read so much great stuff about Fi. I hope you guys are right! I drive a 2001 Toyota Tacoma ext. cab so it should be pretty sweet. I'll be running it in a sealed box due to tight space and i like quick hits. I got it fully loaded with the H-Qts sealed option. I'm really looking forward to using Fi!

Okay.. Heres the deal, I just finished a box for one 15, I made the box to be ready for the bl 15 or a btl, but with the free cooling going on for the wait time on the btl I have decided that i want the btl kinda, but I still need some help deciding what i should go for. Reason being i have all stock electrical other than new alt (not HO tho)... Also my current amp is only a bxi 1200.1D so im not sure if it would be bad to underpower the btl even tho i would be getting a new amp for it, just not right away. I do have sound deadening out of the way already So what should i do get the bl and upgrade my electrical while i wait to get it? Or, Get the btl and upg…

Ok so I'm trying to figure out what I want and I cnt rly figure out the diff between the Q Ssd and BL.. I know the q is the infinite baffle sub but what does that mean? I plan on getin two fifteens but I'm stuck on which one haha... So if anyone culd show me the light I'd appreciate it

Well i got my first 18in btl and all i can say is wow. definitely impressed with this baby and cant wait to order the second. so i have a 15" dual 2 ohm Fi Q, my sundown sae-1200d is gonna get repaired. i picked up a memphis mojo 2000 that is a 2 ohm amp. i currently have the Q wired up to a 4 ohm load and is hooked up. im just wondering why it does not get that loud? is it because it's wired to 4ohms? am i not getting the full power of the sub?.or is it because the sub is new and it's the first time it's seen power?. it's just weird becuase i can turn my kenwood deck up quite a bit., and it wont get as loud as i thought it would. some songs it will sound loud...maybe just wait it off and let the sub break in first? any help is appreciated, especially if you been down this road with the same sub…

Hi all, I'm new to this and been going by what my friend and his dad tell me but as their taste in music is different than mine I wanted to ask around. I drive a 03 s-10 xtrme ext cab and have 2 12's currently but they are horrid and was looking for something better. I list to alot of rock, metal but i also listen to quite a bit of hiphop/rap. I have a hifonics 2000watt amp and was wondering what size/series of speaker would work good for my taste in music and size of the truck that also work with the amp I already have.

Hey guys, just wanted a little input on which sub will suit me best. I have a 2003 Buick Lesabre, stock alt for now, 0 gauge throughout, optima yellow top, and a SAZ1500D. I like to listen to mostly rap. I currently have a sundown z15 v.1 in a 3 cubic foot box tuned to 34hz. I like the sundown sub, but I want something that pounds harder and louder! I am looking at 3 different 12" subs. FI BTL fully loaded, Sundown Nightshade, or SSA XCON. Now keep in mind whichever one I choose now, I will be getting a second one down the road for a total of 2. hey guys, just did up a quick vid of my system, some people requested it yeh noticed my amp was clipping, and i mean i tuned it to 30 volume and max is 35 with all bass settings down, to 44 volts using the chart, and now i tuned it again with the bass knob out, and sub lvl at 15 which is max and bass 0 as it always is, and at 27 volume this time and i just miss the part where you cant breath, mann, can someone help me tune this thing perfectly lol, i dont want people to breath in my car lol, jks but yeh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9hZV71aZTw Please rate and comment, not rly necesary to comment lol, but a rating wud be nice 5* for Fi Car Audio

I sent my subs out to get reconed by Fi. I bought the 2 reconing kits and what not but my question is do i have to pay for the sub to get returned to me or did they add that into the price. I did select the option to send my sub in.

ordered two fi btl 18 fully loaded on the 6th of febuary 2010 .... lead time then was at 3 to 10 days.... its now the 11th now lead time says all btls wont be shipped till march 2nd and the cooling option will be free... i have already paid and pay pal been accepted ..... wondering if my subs were in the first batch of shipping..... or the march 2nd batch.... i fully understand that you guys build subs upon reciving order so i know it takes time just wondering if i can expect mine this month or next month...tried emailing scott no replies maybe on here i can get some answers thanks

Im looking to buy a FI 15". The sub will be in a jeep. Which application would be the best? I was thinking about the BTL. For the most SPL which options should I add? Also what type of amp should I be looking at? Im not trying to spend a ton on an amp. I found a nice Planet Audio thats 3000@1ohm. Me and a buddy will build the enclosure. Let me know! Also...is the BTL alotttt louder than the BL?

Hey FI... I am looking to order a recone kit for my RE SX 12, and I have a couple questions... How long does it take to make/ship a Dual 1 ohm recone kit with a red FI logo? Does it matter what coils are in it right now, because I don't know what they are, neither of them are any good so I can't test them? Thank you
