I'm looking to buy some speakers but i'm a little stuck i'm looking at either one 15 BTL or 2 15 BL's. The thing is i really want to know which would be louder as far as bass and quality? What kind of setup should I use? I'm about to buy me a 2000- 2005 impala ls 3.8 v6 125amp alt. With the two Bls would i need to get a h.o. alt or would i be ok with just 1 optima yellow top in the trunk and a battery under the hood, of course the big 3 is going to be done but will 4 gauge wire be enough. also this is a daily system that i'm setting up I'm going to get 1 1500 watt brutus mono amp for now. a little help from everyone will be great thanks.

Ill just speak for myself but I was thinking it would be cool to see the "behind the scenes" of Fi. Anyone else think it would be awesome?

Hey guys before i get completely torn a new one the dimensions of this sub arent clearly listed on the website. I am working with very marginal clearance and i was hoping someone could help me out her. first off im looking to do 2 SSD10s under the back seat of my truck so space is tight to say the least. Does anyone have a picture of these or could help me with dimensions? Things that i know, the mounting depth is 6 inches. the only pictures that i saw had the mounting depth closer to 7 inches. So everything for my system shall be arriving very soon and I am already to hook it up. I am running a 18" BL with a sundown 1500, now my question is how do i properly break in the subs. I know consistent volume etc. the question I have is what my gain shall be set to. I know what clipping is and everything but as it being a new sub how am I supposed to know what to set it to. After I set it is it supposed to be changed to go along with the break in. As far as my HU goes I have a Alpine cde-102, cheap i know but it will do the trick. Just out of curiosity, what is the operating temperature of the magnets in the BTL N2. I'm sure Fi researched this, but I was just curious. From what I can gather, the operating temperature for ferrite magnets is around 300*C, but the operating temperatures for neodymium magnets is quite lower (source). What grade exactly is the magnets used in the N2? As in, is there a letter following the "N48"? I don't know exactly how hot the magnets get, but I read that voice coils can exceed 150*C. Thanks!

I ordered my second pair of SP4 15s last friday and today the order status switch to "manual verification required". Im an electrician and work out on the road all week on the current job im on. Nearly impossible for me to get packages at my address, so i had them shipped to my girlfriends house. If someone from Fi wants to vall me, my cell phone # was included with the order. When i ordered my first pair of SP4s i tried to do the same thing and they were shipped to my address anyways. They almost ended up getting sent back. Life on the road...it sucks! So please get ahold of me Fi!

Got my new BL 15 today, its so pretty I wish i had the box already built so I could just install it and hear it.

I have an audiopipe ap1500d running 2 fi ssd 12's. when i turn my music up and the bass sounds really good it will just cut out and will turn back on when i turn it down, any ideas?

Ive been in contact with FI and they barely respond to me. I shipped my sub to them 2 months ago and i have confirmation that it was received and signed for by them from UPS. They said they never received it and were questioning me if i sent it. the address is correct btw. They lost my package and have not contacted me back about it after emailing them.... IF....i get my subwoofer back fixed, i wont be doing business with them again....ssa only for now on. Thought id share this with everyone incase this has happened before, or maybe an FI employee might see this and email me.....

Two fully loaded btls on a memphis 4kd 12 cubic foot box @ 34 hz. Straight up nasty. These vids suck but i worked with what I had. Anyways... O hell yeah....Dirty car sucks...

Should I be taking it easy on my 2 brand new Bl's until they break in a little or does that not matter? My old setup seems like it put out more spl and it was less power.These do sound good I just need to tweak the settings more then before.I was running 2 RF T0 12's with 1000bdcp,Now I have the 2 fully loaded BL 12's dual 2 wired to 2 ohms at the 1500bdcp. If I bump the BL's like I was bumping my old subs is it going to hurt them since there stiff as shit? I don't wanna screw myself out of some new subs I just spent $800 on.

Friends A few months ago i purchased a Sundown Amp SAE 1200D and a FIQ 12 Dual 2 Ohms. I need help in determing the massive cause of my voltage drop inmy 2006 SRT8 with a Batcap 400 and a BatCap 800. I not sure if my system is hooke dup in 1 ohm impedance or 2 ohm imedance. I know there are many experts here that can help me in just a few seconds. Attach is a picture of my amp and I have annotated where the wires are hooked up. I just need help in determining is the amp wires are in the correct locations. Hi guys I was wondering if any of you have any tips for buying a H/O alternator? Currently I'm thinking of purchasing an Iraggi 260 amp dominator series alternator for my '03 Chevy Tahoe to power my 18" BL. The BL is being ran off of a kicker 1200.1 with kinetik hc 1400. Will the 260 amp H/O alt be enough for my BL?

well i have a 18" btl dual 1 ohm fully loaded daily sub. i know this sub will rattle the hell out of my 86 Monte but how will it do with music sound quality. she will be in about 5-6 cubes at 32hz. and powered at 2300 rms. now would i be better of switching out my 2 of my 6.5's on the doors for a set of components and then the other to 6.5's for a mid bass. i also have 3.5's in the dash 4x10's in the rear deck and a set of 6.5's in the rear interior panel. so i would think with those speakers i could get a good sounding system and turn the bass down low. if my thinking is flawed sorry.

im not sure if my sub is in need for a recone or not, but there was smoke and the dreaded smell. The weird thing is the coils measure at 1.7 ohms on one side and 1.5 on the other. I looked at em and they seem to be a lil burnt. The sub still plays but its not as loud as it was and theres distortion on certain low and higher-mid notes. Iv not yet gotten to finish upgrading my electrical, been waiting on batteries, then gotta order a ho alt. i think that this question will mostly be aimed at Scott....i recently purchased a "damaged" brahma mark II 12"(i think, no idea which is which but i am tol the mark II) that wasn't damaged at all really...just had to fix a bad glue joint and it works perfect now... 30 bucks and a 2 dollar tube of adhesive isn't too bad, but for my real question i bought it with the intentions of re-coning it to an 18" Fi Brahma Hybrid of some sort.... i was wondering if it could be done...or has it been done? i was thinking a dual 2 ohm coil with at least 1100 watts power handling... i still want to retain good sound quality also...not sure if i would want to do it ported or sealed thou…

Ok So I ordered my SSD 3 weeks ago through Paypal with my credit card and my bank account was deducted the second I finished the transaction.... but, Paypal is still "carrying out the payment" How long does this usually take and if this is normal then Paypal is a pretty shitty company imo because there's really no reason it should take them that long to make this happen!! This is my basic wiring diagram for my pair of D2 10" Q's. I have a dual chamber box w/t .60 cuft in each chamber. Since the terminals are on the left and right side of the subs and I have to connect the subs in both chambers (run wires thru commom middle wall and seal with silicone).............I was wondering is it OK to let the wires just hang free in the box or maybe secure them so they don't just flop around???? I noticed there are little tabs on the baskets, both on the top and bottom. Would it be alright to zip strip the +/- DVC connecting wire that will go over the top of the subs basket to that tab? Or should I just let it free hang?????? Just want to do it righ…

I am getting an enclosure built this coming friday. I was wondering what the optimal enclosure size would be. I want it tuned to 32hz after displacement. Should it be double baffled on the face? I plan on going with a hatchback style box (sub up port back toward trunk). I was offered the option of "milkshaking" the box (resin mixture inside to seal better), it is 50 dollars more for that, so I figure I don't really need it. The Sub: Fi Bl 15" Fully Loaded. Amp: saz 1500d. my trunk measures: 15hx33dx36w I measured height from the trunk bars, so if it can fit between it would be roughly 3-4 inches higher.

I was wanting to know some information on warranties, today i was listening to my 15 and in made a horrible sound and I shut it off instantly and I took it out of the box to look at it because I tried to push on the sub a little bit to see if there was any movement and there wasnt but I can push it from the back and it moved up, but the i noticed the magnet has cracked twice around the magnet and in between the two cracks had shifted to one side sticking out further than the rest of the magnet. any advice would be appreciated.
