I just wanted to say that I am amazed by your subs. I haven't cranked it up in a while, but I did yesterday, and was bewildered again. I was at Circuit city yesterday, and all of the guys who work there showed me their equipment. Kicker, MTX. A customer had a JL W712 on an alpine 1000. They sounded ok, but my bros bl 12 just kills the JL spl wise, as well as another guys 2 kicker comp 12s. The lows the the BL are just nasty- sounding strong and authoritative. I have 2 18" BTLs w/ 2 memphis 4ks, and I noticed on strong hits I'll hold 12v at the front, but at the amps I was droppping in the 8-9v range. I have 3 batts (2 yellowtops and a starter) and 1 run of 1/0. Well Circ…

im not sure if my sub is in need for a recone or not, but there was smoke and the dreaded smell. The weird thing is the coils measure at 1.7 ohms on one side and 1.5 on the other. I looked at em and they seem to be a lil burnt. The sub still plays but its not as loud as it was and theres distortion on certain low and higher-mid notes. Iv not yet gotten to finish upgrading my electrical, been waiting on batteries, then gotta order a ho alt. Although not done yet, it is installed and I've had a coupld PM's from people asking to see pics of install, so here it is. not really a build log, sorry shoulda taken more pics of me and my friend beating on the trunk floor with a tire arm to get the box to fit. also have a crappy quality vid up on youtube, it was done with cell phone but at least shows some of the flexing power LOL click on the guy who made the comment, then click on his vid on his facebook or myspace or w/e very funny

I just ordered a 15" BL with cooling, flatwind, and unversal. Along with a recone kit for a 12" RE SX sub that I will sell after I recone it. So that 15" BL will be powered by a RF T10001BD whenever I get the amp back from RF, warranty work... That BL will go in my Scion tC, hopefully I will manage to build a 3.5cuft box and do an external tube port, and port that to 30hz. The reason why I want to do tube port is so that I can change it and tune it higher for competitions. I'm just hoping that that box can fit since the Scion tC trunks are kinda small. The box that I did have in there for the RE was 2.5cuft already. With the new box I will remove the spare tire and…

Haven't heard from Nick or Scott in awhile, so I am checking up to see if my BTL has been rebuilt yet or not. I understand that yall are busy, but I emailed you twice, and the last thing you said to me about 2 weeks ago in your last email, was that it would be done nearly 2 weeks ago. Just give me an update is all I ask, and please don't take this as me getting hostile or an attitude with you. Any time I have talk to Nick or Scott, they have been very helpful, and I understand that this a busy time for them right now, but I would really like to get my sub back if it is finished. I was wanting to know some information on warranties, today i was listening to my 15 and in made a horrible sound and I shut it off instantly and I took it out of the box to look at it because I tried to push on the sub a little bit to see if there was any movement and there wasnt but I can push it from the back and it moved up, but the i noticed the magnet has cracked twice around the magnet and in between the two cracks had shifted to one side sticking out further than the rest of the magnet. any advice would be appreciated.

I am getting an enclosure built this coming friday. I was wondering what the optimal enclosure size would be. I want it tuned to 32hz after displacement. Should it be double baffled on the face? I plan on going with a hatchback style box (sub up port back toward trunk). I was offered the option of "milkshaking" the box (resin mixture inside to seal better), it is 50 dollars more for that, so I figure I don't really need it. The Sub: Fi Bl 15" Fully Loaded. Amp: saz 1500d. my trunk measures: 15hx33dx36w I measured height from the trunk bars, so if it can fit between it would be roughly 3-4 inches higher.

anybody got any ideas for sealing up the space around my box going into the trunk

Whats with people always bashin on sealed boxes, when subs like SSDs and RE SEs do so well in them for daily pounders? Its seems people are so narrow minded and think the ONLY thing that is important about the box that if its ported or not. These people need to hear some loud sealed groundpounders!

im curious on how long does it takes to recieve a recone kit? its been 3-4 weeks already and i still have no recieved my recone. They sent me the Recone glue, and Decals i ordered, but how much longer for the recone? im Travis Jones, maybe someone can chime in and let me know whats taking long? Thanks Guys!

Hi guys I was wondering if any of you have any tips for buying a H/O alternator? Currently I'm thinking of purchasing an Iraggi 260 amp dominator series alternator for my '03 Chevy Tahoe to power my 18" BL. The BL is being ran off of a kicker 1200.1 with kinetik hc 1400. Will the 260 amp H/O alt be enough for my BL?

Friend of mind is looking hard at ordering a single 12" Q (dual 2 ohm) and running them on Leviathan in a sealed enclosure. He wants to run channel 5 & 6 on the Zed at 2 ohm giving the Q 500watts. Should he order any of the options (apart from high qts) or will just a plain Fi Q be enough? He's running a set of MLK's up front in his 2007 Caddy CTS Suggestions? Thanks

I have a 12 inch 04 model re xxx and need a recone for it. i want to make it into a 15 inch sub though. i will need a basket for it to. the amp being used does 1600 watts at 4 ohms. how much will a recone and basket cost? thanks

Friends A few months ago i purchased a Sundown Amp SAE 1200D and a FIQ 12 Dual 2 Ohms. I need help in determing the massive cause of my voltage drop inmy 2006 SRT8 with a Batcap 400 and a BatCap 800. I not sure if my system is hooke dup in 1 ohm impedance or 2 ohm imedance. I know there are many experts here that can help me in just a few seconds. So everything for my system shall be arriving very soon and I am already to hook it up. I am running a 18" BL with a sundown 1500, now my question is how do i properly break in the subs. I know consistent volume etc. the question I have is what my gain shall be set to. I know what clipping is and everything but as it being a new sub how am I supposed to know what to set it to. After I set it is it supposed to be changed to go along with the break in. As far as my HU goes I have a Alpine cde-102, cheap i know but it will do the trick.
