Hello everyone, Ok so im thinking about adding a second battery in my car in the trunk to maintain voltage drop. right now iv got a red top under the hood, about to do the big 3 and a 120a stock alt with a rockford t10000bdcp and a alpine pdx f4. Im planning on getting a kenetik hc800 in the back to add a little more power to my electrical. What i was wanting to know is would this work properly and just add power to my electrical or will it burn out my alt or anything?? i know iv heard of people adding a battery with a stock alt and was thinking it would be fine because i really dont want to spend 600 on a ho alt right now. my local stereo shop says i need a bigger alt an…

I received my Fi Q15 yesterday!! I ordered it with the BP option and a Red dustcap to match my car. This sub looks amazing!! The build quality of this Fi product is better than that of other brands. I was really impressed with the multi stranded woven tinsel leads. I cant wait to install it this weekend. I am finishing up my box (4cf @ 30hz.) and will be running a Cadence iA7 in a 07' Chrysler 300C. I'll make sure to post pics when completed. kinda new to FI and this forum. I have a 99 mustang want to do one 15 in the trunk in a 5.5 cf box. i have a audiobahn a1500hct rated at 2000 watts @ 1ohm. my question is can a fully loaded bl handle this or should i get stock btl? i won't be competing in spl comps jus want something to beat on every now and again. btw i will be replacing alt with a 220 amp alt and yellow top under the hood. any advice would be good.

Well this past week i finally finished up my install so i thought i would post a few pics now and ill upload the rest later on. This was my first attempt at a somewhat nicer audio system and damn did i learn a few things the hard way... lol. How much does it weight? Trying to design specifics of the box and I want to know if I should get screws or bolts. At what weight would bolts be a better choice?

The sub is wicked loud. I thought my 2 type r 12's were loud but this sub hands down decimates them.

my buddy is goin with a 12inch fi ssd d1 fw coil, bp power, would it be worth upgrading to the 1608d or will the 1208d be jsut fine?

my friend gave me a box that had his 2 15" RF T2's in it. I am pretty sure it is 3.2 cubes after displacement and tuned to 38hz or so. Would it be okay to put some Fi BLs into this box or no? Tryin to save a little money and want good output. Or should I just throw 2 more T2's into that box and use it?

This is a new project going in my friends Charger R/T. He wants to slowly setup a nice SQ setup. We will more than likely use the Q's. If doing an IB, the rear deck will be completly blocked off and sealed up. Any suggestions or ideas would be great....thanks.

The other day I whiped together a box for my Q10, 14x14x12, 3/4in mdf, comes out to around .9 cubes. I screwed up on one of the cuts so i just siliconed the chit out of it. So i have it in my truck now, pushed by 900 kenwood watts rms and there is a clicking noise coming from the sub. Not so noticeable on the lower notes or in rock songs, but it really makes me mad. I pushed on the sub, no scratchy sound, i put the coils on a DMM, both at .8 ohms. WTF! I also tried it free air a little and the noise is louder let. I read on another forum to check my spider for rub marks from tensel slap, and i couldn't find anything. Any ideas? Am i doing something wrong?

I'm not entirely familiar with Fi. What I've read however is that they are a high quality semi custom subwoofer. I've noticed the watt ratings are very high for each aside from the IB3. I realize the Q series will probably not fit behind my bench. I have a 2003 f150 regular cab. That leaves me with the SSD our the IB3. I will only push 600 rms to each so 1200 total. JL HD1200.1 The box will be custom made. I have close to 12.5" of room at the floor. One thing that is holding me back its the fact I'm reading allot of revive posts in the forum. Do these subwoofers experience problems or break frequently? Any input would be greatly appreciated and rewarded with fond 'nonsex…

I just received my Fi/SX 12 hybrid in the mail. It looks awesome and ill be sure to get some pics up and a video soon. How long do you suggest i play it low before i turn it up? I have the gain about 1/2 way up right now. Just wondering how long before I can cut loose on this bad boy.

Im In The Process Of Building New Box For My 87 Mustang. It Will Be For 2 BTLS's Around 8 Cubes Net. The Anticipation Was Killing Me So I just Went Ahead And Threw My Old Box Where The Passanger Seat Was to see how it performed on my SAZ-3000D At first i was amazed. Then about after 15 min. of Slamming it it wasnt as loud anymore and the BTL wasnt Able To Handle the Amp Half Way (Gain All Way Down) It was Already Reaching Its Limits And Bottoming Out. so i was pretty bumed as it sounded the same if not less than 2 memphis 12" subs. so i was looking making sure all the connections were tight and secure, and i decided to take my DMM and meassure the Voltage off the battery…

What size speaker wires would i need for my BL 15.

I read around and heard that scott used to own RE audio and that FI and RE are about the same thing. How is that now? How do the subs from scott, FI, now vs RE Audio, now compare? some say that RE is about the same but less expensive...

There is a problem with my Q 12, and I need to send it back to Fi to work on it. I got an email from Nick that says: "The only thing I can think that may have happened is the coating that is on the top side of the cone body has delaminated. One out of every 1500 cones or so will run into this issue. Print this email off, place it in the box and send it in to us. When we get it back in I'll check it out or another tech will check it out and see what's going on." So do I not need a return authorization number? I just send the box with the email in it and that's it? Also, does it matter how I ship it? Is USPS fine?

I ordered my 12" X series sub July 15th. It says on the website it will take 3-7 business days to build, then it will be shipped. Today is the 21st business day! I emailed a while ago and received a reply on Aug 4th that the subs are currently taking 10-15 days to build and that my sub should be shipped out by the 5th. I emailed again on the 10th when I still hadn't gotten an update on my shipping notice and still haven't gotten a reply back. What is going on? If you are having problems and need to revise the ship dates, at least let your customers know. Me having to make a post and ask isn't very good business.

Here are a few pics of my somewhat recent install and my brand new tint. I got a 15" Fi Q with red dustcap and BP Power, running on a Sundown 1200D at 1 ohm. Put it into a custom built box with white ultra-suede front and 4.0 cu ft volume with (4) 3" ports which i dont think is quite enough but ill be upgrading to a XCON eventually so trying not to put any more money into this system unless absolutely necessary. The tint is 15% all around (back shield, back 2 doors, and front 2 doors) and im considering a 50% on the front shield. Car is a 1999 Volvo S70. Headunit is Alpine CDA-9886..... Hi! So I´m planing to buy my first BTL 18" in summer. The amp that i´m going to use is Alpine MRP-M2000, because I dont live in America, I live in eastern europe and amps like hirfonics or sundown are hard for me to get (only at ebay, but this includes high transport costs and i´m not very rich either). I´m right now upgrading my highs and mids and gona buy soon a new alternator so everything is getting slowly ready by the time. But one thing is on what i´m not so sure jet: should I get dual 1 or dual 2? is there all in all any big diffrence? and how i wire them?
