Ok so i got 2 12" SSD Subs and i was wondering if anyone could post me a link on what kind of box i should get with them. Ported or Sealed. Just let me know

Lookin for a new amp n don't really wanna go to money crazy but u guys think a Hifonics ZRX3000.1D would work well with 2 bl 12's 2ohm subs I have 0guage wiring all the way back 220amp alt. with a yellow top up front and a yellow top in the rear

I just have a question guys. I e mailed fi last week and they said my fi btl should ship out no later than Thursday of last week. But I never recieved a tracking number or anything. I'm not like trippin or anything I just want to know cuz I want to be home or have somebody at my house to recieve it because I work a lot and am not always at my house. I know that fi is really busy so do they ship and just not send a tracking number? Or has my BTL not been shipped out yet? Thanks guys

Okay... Just ordered my 12" BTL fully loaded dual 1 ohm the other day, im GEEKED!! First question, i have a Hifonics BXI2610D amp, i wanna wire my sub to 1ohm to get the most power... correct? how do i do this? second, i have a stock battery and alt in an 02 cougar... do i absolutely HAVE to upgrade? Third, i bought a ported box off of a buddy, he says its 2.7ft^3, is this going to sound good with the amp and sub i have? By the way, im running 0 gauge wires and a wimpy 4 farad cap. I'm kindof a car audio newb you could say so any help would be greatly appreciated

Got some of the recone glue for a 12" Q Got the 60oz (have some other subs to do too) My question is, what is the mix ratio? I'd assume that its 2:1 (Black:clear) Just don't want to mess it up. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

The sub is wicked loud. I thought my 2 type r 12's were loud but this sub hands down decimates them.

I just wanted to give you guys a big for how killer my new BL 12 sounds. This is the first sub of this caliber I have ever purchased. It meets and then exceeds my expectations. Paired with my Sundown SAZ-1500D, it just blows me away

Whoah. I mean, whoah. My Fi Q showed up today and I'm in awe of this sucker. It's built like a tank! I've been through quite a few subs and I think this single 12" might end up putting my two Phoenix Gold RSDc 12"s to shame. My main goal was to reduce weight in the back of my Scion Tc trunk while still maintaining some heavy punch. Here's some eye candy, including the custom 1.3 cu ft Fisher box I had built especially for this little monster. I can't wait to get it mounted and broken in. Thanks Fi!

Hi! So I´m planing to buy my first BTL 18" in summer. The amp that i´m going to use is Alpine MRP-M2000, because I dont live in America, I live in eastern europe and amps like hirfonics or sundown are hard for me to get (only at ebay, but this includes high transport costs and i´m not very rich either). I´m right now upgrading my highs and mids and gona buy soon a new alternator so everything is getting slowly ready by the time. But one thing is on what i´m not so sure jet: should I get dual 1 or dual 2? is there all in all any big diffrence? and how i wire them? I´v read many topics on this forum already, but haven´t got any exact anwer. My amp, what i´m going to buy: 2…

I'm torn between the 2 really great reviews currently for the SSD and the Q. Primarily, I want an SQ setup as I think it'll get plenty loud in my Suby wagon. Been running 750w bridged to my 2 Diamond Audio 12s sealed and while I would go with the copper coil config with the SSD, the price difference in going to the Q is really not that much. If 750w to the SSD would be pretty loud, I don't think I would upgrade my amp any time soon. But since the Q is touted so heavily, many are happy with their SSD with around 500w but 1000w seems ideal for it. Thanks!

I was curious about the universal option offered for the BTLs.I understand that it is so you can change between dual 1 and 2 ohm coils, but what are the drawbacks?I noticed it says that if you don't get the universal option that the motor will be optimized for the ohm load configuration you order.So does that mean that a universal BTL won't ever perform quite as up to par as one that isn't universal?Just curious, because I figured if their were no drawbacks then all of the subs would have them.Thanks man for any feedback.I really appreciate it.

I just turned 17 and im getting a 2010 maxima next week. I ordered a 12in fi bl fully loaded and a sundown sae 1200d. I also ordered a stinger 0 gauge amp kit. Scott@ficaraudio sent me an enclosure that is 2.3cf and tuned to 33hz. I am planning on doing the big 3 upgrade, all 0 gauge and building the enclosure myself. This is the first time im getting a system. Is it going to be VERY loud for my very fisrt time having a system. The sundown sae 1200d is capable of producing 1500 watts rms at normal operating voltage, thats what jacob fuller at sundown audio told me by email. So is that 1500 watts rms going to pound my chest? Ok, I have owned quite a few subs in my quest to find the right one for me. I searched long and hard for a '05 XXX 12 and I finally got one powered by a tantrum 1200.1 in a 1.1 'ish cubic foot enclosure. I think it's suffocating though. It sounds good, I just think this sub was more suited for a larger sealed or ported only enclosure. For my vehicle I can only fit a small sealed enclosure, so I was thinking of going back to a Q12. I have a SSD12 with copper coils/BP but it's in my home theatre setup right now. Should I keep the XXX, because it is an awesome sub or go with a equally awesome sub the Q12 because it's better suited for my application? The vehicle is a 2002 …

Alright so I have my BTL in my ported box (tuning is messed up I have to redo it I think) and I am powering it with a 1200 watt hifonics with chit 4 guage. Waiting on installing my batts, big 3, and 2 ought. I was playing hz tests and I was like fudge it its moving some air, lets see if i can do a hair trick. So I had this girl put her hair in my window and I rolled it up a till there was about 3 inches left. I played a 40hz tone, I STILL dont know what my tuning is but this gets pretty loud, and it was moving her hair! What would be the best type of fi sub with 1000 rms in a 10 with little air space? I was thinking of haveing two 10s

so i was talkin to one of my buddies that sells car audio in a retail store, and when i told him i got a FI BL he goes so did you get it at the shop in rockford? (rockford, IL). and i go no... i bought it factory direct, the only way you can buy it new. and he said o well theres a shop in rockford that sells Fi. so either hes misinformed or someones buying factory direct then sellin it for a lil more. if this shop is actually doing this, is that illegal?

So i have an fi q 12 sealed at 1.2 cubes and it sounds like chit to me. It isnt musical at all and it makes a ton of mechanical noise. most of the time thats all i hear. I am running it off a hifonics 1606 amp with the gain turned half way up and the bass boost all the way down. I have a alpine 9883 HU with the sub at + 15 and bass -2. The sub is inverted and it is down firing in a hatchback. Any opinions as to why i it sounds so chitty to my ears. I mean my old system was 2 10w6v1s and it seemed like they were twice as loud off only 650 watts.

well originaly i was gonna get a BLT fully loaded for daily driving.. BUT NOW im not sure if i should run a BL or the BTL... ive heard of people running the BLs more for daily.... heres what i got a RF amplifier benched at 1,620watts RMS at 1ohm.... and only running a single 12inch sub. currently im running a 12inch REaudio SX sub BUT............ it overheats and STINKS if i pump it to much... which i know IS BAD!!!!!! and well i KNOW im overpowering that sucker.LOL since its only rated at 1K watts. and well iwant more bass but still good SQ cause my subwoofer setup is front firing into the cabin and i drive it DAILY! which would you guys think would be the BEST DAILY DRI…

well i decided that im goin to buy either buy a 15" BL with only the p chamfer or a 15" Q with the BP option, i have a kicker zx1000.1 rated at 1258 watts total, that box im goin to build is ported and 4 net cu. ft. tuned at 32hz. dont have exact dimensiobs but i will soon. my question is, which sub will perform best with that kind of power. i know that the sound is all box dependant, but which one will most likly get louder, and sound better its my first build, so anything that can get loud and sound good doin it is fine with me thanks
