has anyone ever done a horn shaped port, where its wide at the baffle then gets narrower towards the back of the enclosure.....just curious if anyone has done this in a wall....

my amp has been really hot every time ive played my system..Ive had it for 2 days now. Is there a reason why this is happening, its hurts to touch if you keep your hand on it for more then 3 or 4 seconds. Only on the outsides. The amp is a zx1000 kicker. My sub is also get hot along with the amp, but not as fast and not near as hot. Is this normal..This is one of my first systems

ok guys im in houston and need a custom box. got a f150 single cab and have a 12 bl. specs say at least 1.8cuft. went to frys electronics and those idiots wanted to charge me 450 for a ported wedged box. thats a ridiculous amount of money. and then they have never heard of Fi car audio. so i was like man i need to leave this place. if ur in houston and know of a place where i can get a good ported box please let me know. really wanna start bumpin by beggining of summer

My car is a 2009 Mazda 3 sedan. I listen mainly to rock. Maybe throw in some hip hop. 90/10. I'll be working with approximately 500w RMS @ 2 ohms. My focus is SQ, and (like everyone seems to say) I enjoy listening at higher volumes. This will most likely be a sealed application. I'm comfortable sacrificing in the neighborhood of 1ft^3. I'm probably not experienced enough to call myself an audiophile, but I'm very critical of my equipment. I ask a lot from the products …

in order to get my subs to trinidad..i was gonna ship them to trinidad but it would cost 100 on each sub or i was gnna ship to my cuzins in ny and them let them ship it to me..............either way.a lot of traveling and im guessin a hella lot of bumps along the way.......can the subs take it or does the packaging take care of it.......is it in a wooden crate cause i never saw in any pics??help much appreciated.

the cap on my 18" btl has a dent on it and i need a new one who can sale me 1?

HEy guys, I recently sent my sub in for repair. It has been two weeks since they got it and I still havent heard from them. Ive emailed them twice with no luck. i just got my bl yesterday, brokerage was 65$ :s. i was just wondering how do i know if my bl has the cooling option on it. i thought the magnet was supposed to have a hole through it when it had cooling, but mine does'nt. is this bad or am i just misinformed? thx-phil

Well I just bought a used Fi BTL locally and now I want to rep it with some pride. Im thinking of buying a hoodie since i need one, but does anyone if they run large or small? If you have purchased one let me know. Just curious as what I need to get. To Fi. get some zip up hoodies I'm fairly confident this would be the right place to put this. Also im getting a sticker, where doi u think would be the best mounting point. I am thinking bottom driver side back window. I have a silver 07 grand prix. So i was thinking sticking with silver. Just a light thread no need to crunch numbers etc. Just some opinions.

I've been researching car audio for awhile but just now became a member here but so far this is what i have in mind for my system.... - Fi 15" Q sealed in a custom box (dont know size yet.. 2.6?) $274 - Sundown SAE-1200D $310 - Alpine CDA-9886 $299 Then i need wires for my amp and my sub... i was thinking of getting THIS for my amp and then use THIS for my subwoofer? Does that work or should i do something else? Also i would need to buy some extra 0 Gauge wire to do the Big 3.... Anything else??? Thanx in advance, Alex

Friends A few months ago i purchased a Sundown Amp SAE 1200D and a FIQ 12 Dual 2 Ohms. I need help in determing the massive cause of my voltage drop inmy 2006 SRT8 with a Batcap 400 and a BatCap 800. I not sure if my system is hooke dup in 1 ohm impedance or 2 ohm imedance. I know there are many experts here that can help me in just a few seconds. Attach is a picture of my amp and I have annotated where the wires are hooked up. I just need help in determining is the amp wires are in the correct locations. I specifically told the shop to set my subs up in 2 ohms but talking to everyone I think it is set up in 1 ohm impedance which I did not want. Is there anyone her…

Compare the BL 10 to the SSD 10 and the ssd has the same xmax so wouldn't it move the same air therefore being the same. and on the website it say the bl has 18 mm xmax and the ssd has 21mm so wouldnt the ssd be louder then?
