Is a Fi 15 SSD louder then 2 alpine type R 12's?

Anyone selling 1 10"?

I'm a couple days away from buying two SS XXX 15s. I intend to run two Autotek MM4000.1Ds to them in about 8 cubes at 30 Hz. This is in the back of an 04 TrailBlazer subs up port back. While I am certain this will get loud I am finding myself leaning towards the fully loaded BTL 15s. The Autoteks would be too much power for the BTLs but let's say you had the option. The SS XXX setup with the Autoteks which, at 3 ohms, would give each sub around 3000 watts, or two Fi BTL 15s in the same box in the same vehicle as the SS with about 2500 watts to each? I am getting a good deal on the SS so even they are still going to cost more I am not unwilling to pay for it. Which would y…

i pluged it up to my home cd player and it was playing for about 12 seconds and my cd player like cut off and restarted so i unplug'd it realy quick like. Did i mess up my sub. It looks fine and doesnt smell burn or anything soooo???? was it just the cd player..

I have a 12" FI "Q" running off of a JBL BP 1200.1 amp. The amp is suppose to run 1200 watts rms and I am running it correctly wire wise. Do you guys think it would perform better with a different amp setup? A friend of mine suggests a kicker amp. what do you guys think?

Does anybody have some pics of a btl or bl motor with the cooling and without it?? i have alway wondered what the difference is in the motor thanks.

I must say Nick is the man. I contacted him with a few questions about my order December 12th and not only did he adjust the order my 3 SP4 15's arrived 14 days(not working days) but 14 days later. That's only 7 working days because I am sure they took Christmas off. That's fast customer service and the reason why I stick with this company. Just wanted to thank Nick again. This will be my first time running 15's.

Initial impression is WOW! Haven't built my custom box yet but had an extra one that's 1.4cu ft so just plopped it in. Didn't change any settings on my amp but man, it sounds like there's 2 12s in there. NICE! Just did a search, looked up a few suggestions on what to set my amp at and will bump it when I go to school later. i am making an spl box and going to get into a few small comps this summer. i am going to tune the box to what ever my car is tuned to (not sure right now) the bigger the box will i get a higher number? i will probably end up making it a removable port so ill have something for street beat and for spl. SPL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT! so how many cuft? its an 18 BL fully loaded powered by a rockford power 1000.1 in a VW golf

I've been researching car audio for awhile but just now became a member here but so far this is what i have in mind for my system.... - Fi 15" Q sealed in a custom box (dont know size yet.. 2.6?) $274 - Sundown SAE-1200D $310 - Alpine CDA-9886 $299 Then i need wires for my amp and my sub... i was thinking of getting THIS for my amp and then use THIS for my subwoofer? Does that work or should i do something else? Also i would need to buy some extra 0 Gauge wire to do the Big 3.... Anything else??? Thanx in advance, Alex

Okay I am planning on getting a new substage setup in the summer because right now im just a poor college student lol. Anyways I have had a fi btl 12 before and loved it but now I know I want an 18 for sure and I have contacted argent audio and an 18 will fit with aero ports so my question is should I get another btl or the Q. I loved my old btl but honestly sometimes it was just to loud and I have heard great things about tthe Q. I have never heard a sound quility sub in car auido before though. I like it loud but it doesn't necasarly have to rattle everything too. So I was just wondering what you guys think between the two wich would be better. If I left any iformation …

just spent $210 for a 12" BTL recone but i have a question.do i still have to pay to ship it to vegas? or am i supposed to recieve a label through email? i was probably better off just buying a new sub if im gonna be paying over $300..any answers?

I havent powered my subs up yet, nor have the been mounted. They've been sitting in the boxes they came in since I got them last year as a present from my gf. Not dropped or anything like that, its weird I've never seen anything like it. I pulled one out to show a buddy of mine the sheer size and outstanding build quality. While doing so, I noticed a crack in the magnet. Not a small crack either, it goes horizontally, all the way around the sub. And it wasnt there when I got them. 2 FI BL 18's with 2 sundown saz-1500d strapped, powermaster d3100 in back, 98 ford expedition, about 19.5 cubes before sub and port tuned to 33hz. may try to do a hair trick or something this weekend.

So, got the BTL all hooked up Running on a Hifonics BXI 2600D in a custom 3.3 cube box ported 33hz in a 2000 hyundai sonata And WOW WOW WOW One BEAST of a sub!!!! It keeps getting LOUDER and LOUDER!!!!!!! It moves EVERYTHING, Everyone is awestruck!!! My friend says that this ONE sub outdoes his 4 12"s by TWICE as much!! Nick, i know you got my email this morning at like 9:50 but i want everyone to know that if you like "The Bump" go BTL ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!! even though it weighs 70Lbs, i did expect THAT MUCH BASS!!!!!! im sure the my extremely good box building skills helped, but WOW Still havent turned it up all the way yet though, haha KEEP IT UP!!!!!!! 10/10 100% recco…

Well, just wrapped up a pretty decent showing at Slamology. Dbdrag in a trunk sucks but I did bring my strength in Bass Race to the lanes. I decided to run Street C for Dbdrag and ended up coming in 3rd with a 143.4db. For bass race, I took home 1st in the 129.9 class! I have yet to do a legit meter of me inside my car with my new alt for the SSNW class, but outside my car I snagged a 143.8, and I'll probably do a mid 144 when I sit inside it. Anyways, I made a flex vid with my phone of the low meter score, but ear damaging BTLs. Also, I have a Crescendo XST2s distance test off an Arc Audio FD2100.

My friend has two Alpine Type R's. After hearing me mention the fact that Fi makes recone kits for a coupla companies, he asked me to find out if you guys could recone his Type R's. -Thanks -Chris

I am due to receive my ups delivery of my 12" Fi Q's tomorrow and i cant wait. i am so impatient. i want some advice on how to properly break these subs in because i have never learned the proper way. with any other subs i had i just installed them correctly (properly set gains and what not) and then proceded to see what the can do. i have been addicted to car audio for some time now but i am always learning something new. any opinions/advice will be greatly appriciated. running a Rockford fosgate 2000.1 amp if anyone is wondering.

i just wanted to know before i ordered, is the cooling option important to add to the 15"btl for a daily sub?

I am in pretty desperate need of help...I tried to design a box and I keep getting lost. I am working with about 18" in height, 48" in width, and roughly 20-25" of depth. I would like to do 2 15" BLs tuned to around 34 Hz or so. Can someone please help me out. Thanks.
