Car: 2000 Ford Explorer 4Door Current system: Apline CDE-102 HU Fi 18in BL 09 1500D Sundown all 1/0 gauge knu wire. 8cu ft box. sub facing roof/port facing hatch. Tuned to 32hz I must say that I am very pleased with FI and their product, I am just wanting my system to be maximizing its output. My first hing which I plan to improve is running big 3, I am NOT having dimming in my car and is it really needed if it does not effect the output of the sub. I was thinking of making a better designed box that has both the sub and port facing the rear. I was also thinking about putting dynamat in the trunk door of the car to help with rattle. Any more suggestions would be great or …

I am about to purchase 2 18" Fi BTL subwoofers(dual 2 ohm).. I already own 2 t40001d Rockford Amps. I am installing this in a 96 cadillac fleetwood, the car is currently runiing a 2 300 amp altenator and 5 total yellow top batteries.. The questions I have are: ---Will these amps be enough for the subs? ---What would be the best box size? ---And what would be the best to tune the port too? ---And is there anything else I should get that anyone can think I will need?

Got my 12" Q in today. As I was admiring its' beauty, I noticed that it had 3 red terminals and 1 black. Shouldn't there be 2 Black (-) and 2 Red (+)? May be a dumb question, but this should have no affect on playability should it?

For a while i have been pondering on whether to get a fully Loaded 15" Btl or 2 12" Q's I know that they are in very different (technology wise), but i have read alot on these forums that sometimes cone area can over come better machinery they are relatively the same price when it all comes down to it. They will be ran off of a AudioQue 2200D I just want opinions (not criticism) on which sub/subs you guys think will pound harder. I have a 03 trailblazer and i like lows Box will be ported and built accordingly

I have been looking around and I was curious to see some pictures inside the FI facility? Scott or Nick do you have any cool pics of the place? I think it would be cool to see it.

How about a Tour of inside FI? Ive always wondered what it looked like behind teh scenes. And Im guessing other people might have interest in this also. You dont have to let us in, on your "special" machines, or what not you might have laying around. Dont wanna give teh other people teh heads up for making teh loud m00faz. HAHA

Hey Scott, or anyone who can answer the question. I'm interested in retrofitting my 12" Q with the compression plug. How much power can I safely send it after the fit? It's doing with with ~1200w right now. Do I need an RA number or anything to send it back? Also, what would the turnaround time be from date of arrival? I understand you guys are still trying to get things back on track.

I am wanting to replace my L7 10" in my 23ft Malibu boat. I have been running the L7 in a small sealed enclosure for most of the summer and been relatively happy. However I have been wanting more. I replaced the sealed box with a 1.6 cu slot ported box and gained a bit, but still I am wanting more. Issue in the boat is no cabin gain obviously and limited space for an enclosure. So this brings me to my question. Which 12" sub in the Fi lineup would be a good contender in the wide open environment that is a boat? I would like to keep the power requirements realistic. My current sub is powered off a MMATS 600.1 just for reference. Thanks for any advice.

I actually sent an e-mail to sales many days ago and didn't get a reply, but after looking at the forum today for the first time I saw the pinned topic regarding mail delays, so figured I would post here. Being out of car audio for a little while now, I decided to upgrade my setup. I was running a Cadence Z8000 (500WRMSx1) w/ two ID10v3's vented to spec @ 33hz. I replaced my Z8000 with a RF T5002, birth sheet measuring ~1100WRMS @2oh bridged (14.4VDC). I originally figured I'd get an IDMAX for this amp, but ran into a lot of hype on the Fi Q and I'm now almost convinced this is what I want. Assuming you're familiar with the ID/IDQ lines, what enclosure spec would you rec…

I plan on putting 4 15" BTL's in the bed of a silverado with a blowthrough, not a wall. Out of curiosity, will there be any type of loss in pressure and sound by doin this? Also, if I make a small wall around the hole with sound deadener all under it, will that make a improvement on the loss if there will be any in the first place. I know that it will help with road noise, so i am doing it anyway, but am just curious.

Hi! I sent you an email a couple of months ago, asking if you accept international credit cards and you answered that you do accept international credit card payments (via your website). The thing is when I checkout my order, the only country option in the invoice or billing address is "United States". How can I pay with my Visa? I'm from Venezuela but the package would be shipped to a warehouse in Miami, Florida (shipping or delivery address) and later they would send it to me (Venezuela). Thanks!!!!

Was thinking of inverting my BTL UFO 12" as the cutout diameter is the same size as the motor. Should I compensate box volume for this action? I may want to revert it normally in the future, but I have a show on the 17th that I will be attending and would like to show this beast motor off. Space is not an issue, as I am downsizing from my previous enclosure for my zcon. Is there an audible motor noise that comes with this? downsides?

I;m trying to buy an 18ssd and put it in my acura. The only way to really do so is to use tube ports instead of slotted to decrease the volume of the box. I dont really know how to do it. i went to this site called klaus audio and it designed one for me. I however don't know if it is legit. It says for a 6.2 cubic foot box tuned to 33hz id need 2 4" ports 8.5 inches long each....i wnaan build it but need to see if it will actually work....here's what it says http://www.klausaudio.com/myaccount/view_b...cfm?boxid=37047 ...please tell me what you think.

Hey guys. I was playin around this morning and I came across a post on one of the forums (may be the speaker section) that said the T2 and the BL are about equivalent to one another, other than the T2 costing twice as much. Is this true? I haven't really had time to dig up the specs on the T2, but a little info would be cool. I have some friends who, for some unknown reason, think the T2 is a great woofer.

Hello forum. I have an FI Q sub which i have received on 7/15/2011. I finally got it professionally installed on 7/26/2011 by my local audio shop a few days after receiving my Audioque AQ1200 amp. It was playing fine until after about 5 hours of play time. The only extra option it has is the cooling package. I hear a weird rattling noise comming from the sub itself. I thought at first maybe it was my car rattling, or the box, but then i took the sub out and played it in free air for a few seconds and came to the conclusion that it was the sub. it sounds almost as if your hitting the dust cap with ur knuckles or the license plate is vibrating. other than that, the …
