Right now I have a pair of Q 15's in an 8.0CuFt enclosure, after all displacement. Tuned to 30 Hz. I was thinking about doing 4 X 12's in about 8Cuft enclosure tuned to 32 Hz. Power wise, it would be easier on my electrical. But my question is, would the response be there? Would the X's play sloppy? I'm happy with the Q's but I want a little more output (SPL). And I'm sure like alot of you, I like to change things up. Right now my Q's are powered off a PA A3000db at 1 ohm. The x's would be at 2 ohm. Just to throw this out there..I have 2 PA A3000db's if that helps you with your suggestions. Suggestions please?

I'm looking at 2 used 15" BL's owed by 2 different people. Both are D1's and both are Fully Loaded Daily Subs However, I've been told that 1 has the older style double stacked mag and the other has an identical sized single mag. Did they change the mag design? And if so, will these subs perform differently from one another making them not so good as a pair?

How much are they shipped to 26851? I want one for my old e12k. The old e cone has a little damage to it, running it inverted now. Also, where could I get the glue needed to put it on? Can I buy the glue from FI?

It's been a few months since Scott posted about the 10" spiders. Are they here yet? I have a 12" Eclipse basket with a variation of the TC9 motor and a pair of 15" Lightning Audio/TC-3000 baskets with 3HP neo motors that need recone kits. Also, since these are not the standard baskets that Fi uses, will I have to send in the subs for the recones or can a kit be built? -Robert

Ok heres the deal. I have a 04 Crown Vic, front stage only no rear fill and the rear speakers removed from the deck. I have been seriously looking into getting a pair of Q 15s for the last few months but a few things have come up with the family that has side tracked me but Im on point now. I have a pair of Orion 1200d for power but heres my question. I see the new options for the Qs and was considering selling my Orions and picking up a Hifonics XX Thor. I also considered a pair of fully loaded BL 15s with the power I have but I just dont know. I am coming from a background of mainly sealed boxes and this would be my first in my own install. ( I have assisted and listen …

Just bought a SSD 15 with copper coil. Had it for about 3 weeks before i was able to give it some real power. Originally i had it on about 250 watts, and it sounded very well for that. I was surprised really. So then i match it with a good partner, hifonics 1608d Hooked everything up and man did that sub slam. I gave it all of its 800rms and then some. And it still wanted MORE! Played very very nice, the more power i gave it up to its power handling the better the SQ got for me. I didn't completely turn up my amp but everything i threw at the SSD it took it with pleasure, it handled everything nicely and as much as i turned the gain up there was no distortion at all…

Hey! I finally got my MTX TC8001 amp. 800 RMS @ 2 Ohms. Performance certificate says 916 W, if that helps... I want to get a SSD 15" sub (dual 1+1). I'm going with a ported box, tuned @ 33 Hz. Should I go with a stock SSD with this amp? Or do you recommend coppercoil or FlatwindCoil? Thanks

Sooooo, I was asked by a friend who is about to order some BLs to ask on here. He is gettin the fully loaded BLs and wants to know if they can take 2k watts daily???? The longest he blares his system for at a given time is about 30min, but his current setup is crap so i doubt it will be full crank with BLs.

I have an Alpine deck and it has a subwoofer level feature. It goes from 0 to 15. My question is this the same thing as bass boost? I dont want to create more distortion for the sub then I need to. I have the bass boost all the way down on my amp. Im a noob so any positive feed back will be appreciated. Oh by the way I just got my 12" SSD with BP power and HQTS in a sealed 1.1 cu ft box. Running JBL BP 600.1 at 1 ohm. Hope to get anoher amp in the future, but first I'll need a better alternator. I got my new woofers today. They are two Black Fiday 12's. I went to a shop nearby and had them build me a sealed box. It is one cubic foot per woofer, and its separate chambers. Problem is I didnt think about the wiring when I had them build it. So there is terminals on each side of the box for each woofer, and since its separate chambers it makes wiring difficult. So how would i wire the woofers in a series down to 1ohm having to use the two terminals.

  23. so what is it with fi customer service :/ do they not give you a shipping / payment confirmation email at the least? I ordered a recone kit on friday may 22nd before 3pm and have yet to hear a damn peep from anyone @ fi yet they had no problem communicating with me through email pre-payment being sent... i'd like to not put fi under the shitty customer service category, but it's heading that way. i sent out an e-mail to scott / nick / recone / orders @ ficaraudio.com, hopefully I get some kinda results. I trust everything will be resolved, but when? how long must I wait? if it hasn't even been processed and shipped yet i'll be pretty effin pissed..

Just want to say how happy. I am I do not regret buying these subs they are all they are cracked up to be. Well worth the money and wait they are everything I've been looking for and then some. They are amazing subs and if your considering a sub from FI do not hesitate. Here's some pics as for a review They drop low when I say low I mean low. Think gut wrenching. I put on the silicon sound system test which goes through cycles and I could not belive what I was feeling and hearing the lower it got the more they shined. I did'nt realize what kinda power I had back there as none of the other subs I've had on that amp have really made me say wow. I mean they were loud …
