I am installing a 2-way active + sub system in a 2007 Civic sedan. Power will be provided by a single 5 channel Kicker ZX700.5 (sub channel is rated at 280 @4ohm / 420 @ 2ohm - under rated per reviews and birth sheets). Head unit is 880PRS. I certainly have enough power to run a X12, but is this even remotely viable for an SSD in a sealed enclosure? As I would like to stick with 5ch amp, my pother choice is a Polk Audio PA1100.5 which is 1ohm stable and can produce 600 watts (not sure about actual output on this model). Keep in mind my goals are to have better than stock sound and my musical tasted run from jazz, to classic rock, punk, salsa, electronic, hip hop, etc. I …

Hi! I sent you an email a couple of months ago, asking if you accept international credit cards and you answered that you do accept international credit card payments (via your website). The thing is when I checkout my order, the only country option in the invoice or billing address is "United States". How can I pay with my Visa? I'm from Venezuela but the package would be shipped to a warehouse in Miami, Florida (shipping or delivery address) and later they would send it to me (Venezuela). Thanks!!!!

Good evening all! What frequencies does the SSD12 with copper coils play the best? I have it in a 1.5^3 ft sealed box and I'm not sure what to set the subsonic filter and the low pass crossover at? I'm powering it with a soundstream rubicon 702 which also has another kind of feature, hawkins bass control. I think it's a combination subsonic filter with booster. Any advice would be great.

Currently im running a 12" Q ported (2cu@32hz) off a saz-1500d. Im looking at trying to get more output but am limited on space. Im looking at the option of doing 2 SSD 12's sealed with 800wrms going to each. How would output compare to the Q ported? I have about 3 cubic ft to work with in a sealed box. I could also possibly do 2 10" SSDs ported but only in 2-2.5 cubes. Any recommendations?

  13. hey guys. I've got a 2000 firebird trans am that is in need of some extra bump. I currently have 1 Resonant Engineering SX 15" in a 5.5 cu ft box at 33hz in my Yukon and it sounds amazing on music and tones. I'm wanting to do the 2 10" stealth enclosures that fit into the rear pockets of the firebird. Here's what I mean... http://www.subthump.com/acamarostealth.htm I was wondering about the SSD 10's. Do you think they would be nice for this enclosure? I know the minimum sealed enclosure is actually 0.6 cu ft. With displacenemt, I'm assuming the final volume of the box will be around 0.4-0.5 cu ft. Is this too small for this driver? What other 10" woofer would you recommen…

Hey guys hows it going? I was hoping that ya can help me out. I currently have a daily/SPL setup in my car. I am bumping a pair of Kicker L7 12s with a Alphasonik amp that is feeding them a 1,000 watts each rms. I love my subs but I feel that I need to upgrade. My subs work great in the USACI lanes and I have gotten a offical 148.5 db with them. But I can not use them for daily use. After about 10 -15 I start to smell burnt coils ( Kicker L7s are only rated at 750rms each). So I am looking to get a pair of 12" BLs. My qustion is; what options should I go with in making this sub? Can I use my current box? It is tuned to 30hz and 4.5 cubic ft for each sub. I am not a hardc…

Ok.. ive seen this in these forums before.. just never fully understood. can one of you pro's explain to me the method used to securely and safely mount these beast's into their box? Maybe even a direct link to a picture of what i need. I also want something that will take a thief along time to unscrew if the little bastards go for my system. Just go ahead and ignore this thread once we get a good answer posted, let it fall to the bottom,. Appreciate your help.

Well to begin, I will report on my expierence with FI customer service! I ordered through the site and paid with my paypal account, the site was very easy to understand and use! Once I ordered, I began harrassing Scott with all kinds of annoying questions. Scott answered everything I asked as best as he could, without complaint! I even sweated Ndmstang a few times, he too was helpfull and understanding. So all in all customer service was top notch. Tracking was so so, UPS sucks in my honest opinion, that has nothing to do with FI at all though! They rarely updated the info for tracking, it always looked as if my sub was just sitting around. I am biased though because I l…

well i made it to my first show may 16 . < tnespl , rockyhill ct. > i came setup to play music, but ended up in woofer cooker class. so i did what i could with what i had setup. i had 1x btl 15 2x saz1500d ford explorer I got a 147.9 <still had some left> i am verrrrrrrry happy for my first try. now knowing what class i'm in i will build a fart box and do better. most important to me is that my kids wanted to compete and thats why i put this together. they had a great time, and want to do it again. thanks for the great deal on the recones. i was the only one with FI subs at this show, sparked a little interest after i ran.

Do you think a Soundstream PCA2000D would give me enough power to push two 15" or 18" Qs? If so would I purchase dual 2 or 1 ohm subs? If I wanted to get the full power out of the amp I would have to go with the 1 ohms, but how would I wire them? This amp is only stable at 1 ohm right? Would a .5 ohm load put too much stress on the amp? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

so i am trying to figure out which sub to order, i have read multiple posts about this and in the end the person purchases a sub but with no reasoning on there conclusion. so here is what i have to work with. i do alot of offroading so cargo space must be maintained this is why i have chosen the box below. the box is made for a single 10" with .75cuft. i have been wanting a Fi woofer for sometime now. so like the other posts which one and why? pros and cons. both the Q and SSD are rated for sealed enclosures. i would like to run the 10" Q. i would probably run the sundown SAZ-1000D. here is a few pics of the box.

First off, hello, been lurking for awhile finally decided to post. I need some help. I want to add some subwoofers to my car. I am going to start with 1 sub, would like a 15, but possibly a 12. I have searched high and low to find something I truly like. First problem is, I have only heard 13w7's in the same car I have. I don't want to drop that much per speaker and I don't want something everyone else has. I have been leaning towards the 15"BL. Amps, I have access to kenwood KAC-9103D for cheap, but no sure I want that either, because I think I would have to have 2 to push the BL. I seriously doubt they come close to the 1800 watts they claim. No one around her…
