I have a '96 Nissan XE (extended cab) truck. I'm wondering if I can get the right air space for 4 BTL 15's with a hard tonneau cover or will I have to get a camper shell. Also, anyone know pricing and wattage on 15" BTL Loaded and BL Loaded? I'm wanting something I can use for daily and SPL comps. Are these good speakers to be used for both?

what are the pros&cons of 1 spider vs 2,stiff , compliant etc? I noticed the Q's have two spiders,BL's have three,BTL's have four. Please explain,I want some details thanks!

This may not be directly about an Fi product but i didnt know where else to go to. Hope you guys dont mind...but i was thinking about upgarding to a better amp. I currently have an hifonics bxi1208 powering my 12'' Fi Q with Bp. I was thinking about an audioque 1200d. Would this amp be that much better? All my electrical is stock. My alt is a 130 amp. i was thinking of getting a BTL n2 15'', an ported box from this website: http://www.klausaudi...oofer-boxes.php , im not sure what amp im getting but something like a 2000W-2200W, then im getting new battery, big 3, and a high output alternator (250 amps), also im currently looking for new navigational system and speakers. i have a 2005 cadillac escalade esv so i got plenty of room. i was just wondering if anyone has any good ideas for the amp and speak system. i just need some decent speakers and amp. also what would you recommend for box volume?

Good evening all! What frequencies does the SSD12 with copper coils play the best? I have it in a 1.5^3 ft sealed box and I'm not sure what to set the subsonic filter and the low pass crossover at? I'm powering it with a soundstream rubicon 702 which also has another kind of feature, hawkins bass control. I think it's a combination subsonic filter with booster. Any advice would be great.

I have 4 Q15's ported in 10ft^3 tuned to 32hz on a IA40.1 @ .5 ohms. I am hitting 152db on a TL and 159.6db on AC mics, but I have it tuned for music and I feel the Q's are much more powerful down low. I compete locally for fun in unsanctioned events and have a nice lil collection of trophies. So this past Sunday, a local but large Car Club asked me to join up, because they want an SPL division for SBN and whatnot, and they have and audio shop on board to help with builds. So I agreed, but know that I need to do better then 152 on a TL to have a chance in an "official" comp. I have only a 140 amp alt, but I have 2 batts for my electrical and the IA 40.1. just wanted to say thanks again to scott and FI for there awesome customer services. last year i blew 2 btl's 18's 2 weeks before NSPL finals,call fi and ordered 2 recones and i got them less than 10 days.made the finals and won.i blew the subs from bad rca's. so it was not there fault but mines.awsome subs.they play like a timex.they take a beating and keep on ticking. now i went to a show2 weeks ago and opps rca pull out so i blew 2 subs again.again my fault.same subs too.the other subs are still strong. well with only 2 of 4 subs i still did over a 162 db'.so i was ok,but now i need subs for the NSPL finals and no cash. after i came up with some cash i called scott a…

just want opinions what do most of you guys use? I have them wired with 12 guage right now. Was wondering if it would really make any differance if i used 10 or 8 guage or would the 12 be fine?

Hey whats going on SSA. I have made a couple of posts and I have learned a great deal of things on here. I have a long way to go and I know someone can help me get there. I am looking for 3 18" Fi Bl's to buy or trade for some things. I am just curious of what will pop up. I do not want the D2's or Stock Bl's. This is not an official posting just to see if something happens. I have one and it is the 09 series with a yellow dustcap. I need 3 more to scratch the subs off of my list. Please no BS or Post Dumping.

if you had the choice what would you take 2 12" ssd's getting 600 watts each or a 15" Q getting 1200 watts. Both would be in optimum enclosures tuned around 32HZ. I want it to be loud and be able to hit the lows and sound good while doing it.

Just got an email from Fi saying they lost all their emails in the past 2 weeks. I hope this isn't bad news for anyone who was trying to come in contact with them. Just curious if there's a reason the Fi Q series isn't showing up on the website...Either way, could someone possibly give me the specs on the 12" sub. I need the detailed specs so I can input the sub on WinISD to attempt a box design.

And still haven't received it back. I have e-mailed several times over the past few months and not gotten any response. it was a 15" Kicker L7..I contacted Fi and they said they could take try and take care of it. Well they took care of it, but said they had a problem finding an old style dust cap for it. I understood it may not be the exact same before I sent it off. about how many dbs can you get going from 1 sub with say 500 watts to 2 subs with 1000 watts thanks

Planning on ordering my btl this weekend..should i add everything to it for daily..or just cooling? with 2500 watts could i tell the difference in a loaded and not loaded btl?

I HAVE GOT A FI BL 18 THAT EVERYONE TELLS ME TO GET A BIGGER AMP FOR IT, IM RUNNING A KICKER KX 1200.1 THAT PUTS OUT ABOUT 1300 RMS. I THINK THE BL 18 IS ONLY 1000 RMS SO I DONT BELIEVE I WOULD NEED A BIGGER AMP WOULD I? THIS SUB HITS 143 ON TONES IS THAT GOOD NUMBERS FOR IT?

Finally after a few weeks of telling myself to buy it, I just did. I'm already way too anxious for this sub. It's going to be quite different from my last sub stage which was 4RE8's in a 6th order bandpass. Im going to be running this one at 2ohms off of an md2d. Right now I'm looking at running it a ported box of 4cuft at ~28 hz. Any other sugggestions? -Justin

Since copper coils are now standard on the SSD line, I was wondering if the flatwind voice coils are also copper?
