Just curious if there's a reason the Fi Q series isn't showing up on the website...Either way, could someone possibly give me the specs on the 12" sub. I need the detailed specs so I can input the sub on WinISD to attempt a box design.

I have a pair of older (boob cone) RE XXX 15s quad 1.7 coils. I would like to reuse the motors on a pair of 18s and would like to know the cost. I have E-mailed FI twice about this, once on feb 27 and again a week ago on may 7th with no response so I am guessing they are not making it through for some reason. (not flaming) I Spoke with Scott back in the day when he built them for me (2003) I'm wondering if it is worth doing or if I should just pony up to the new drivers. I would really love to have a phone # to ask a few questions about my current project and see the best way to go. I understand that these guys are busy and hard to reach but I still like the one on one of…

  5. :morepower1:So on friday I got home from school to find a big brown box on my pourch and I was like a kid on christmas morning. I opened up the box and out came the woofer. It was amazing, a huge step up from the 12 inch L7. The only thing I noticed wrong was that the rubber cap circling the woofer was a little too big, and the holes for the screws had not been drilled throught the rubber. I was so happy I didn't care one bit though, and I threw the woofer in as fast as I could. It is extremely loud and clean and gets low without distortion. I played for a while and was taking it all in and the woofer practically pulled itself out of the box while I was playing a 20…

okay so this maybe a dumb question...but not about to through 260 out the window. just got my Q 12 and the outer layer for the screw holes consists of the surrounding rubber with holes through it, a botttom layer with hole, and a top layer with-OUT hole. i assume i just punch through the top layer with the screw? I know i read this in here somewhere else in someones post but i cant recall what it said and i can't locate it now. thanks in advance kind of eager to begin my upgrade from a flame 1206t to this beast. yeah i bought audiobahn...i was young and dumb.

Hello everyone, ok Im planning on ordering 4 Q15s for my pt cruiser, it will be a single sealed box with 2 subs facing up and 2 subs facing foward, how does this setup sound? Will it effect sound quality or overall output, also there be 2 seperate chambers with 2 subs in each chamber, or should I go for 1 chamber for each sub? thanks..........Brian

Hello, I have a PT cruiser and I am looking at the Q12s or Q15s (4 of each) I have the back seats removed and have about 17.875 cuft to work with, the box would be: WIDTH is 39 in. HEIGHT is 24 in. DEPTH is 33 in. Would there be enough room in that box for (4) Q15s sealed? Maybe able to add 2 more inches to the Depth! I will running about 1500 watts rms to each subwoofer, will the Q12s or 15s without the power opt. handle that much power in a sealed box? thanks.....Brian

Ok guys. The time is coming up fast to kick off my build. However, I had a few last minute worries (still designing a box) and was curious. I am still debating if I wanna build a box so I can slide it between the wheel wells for real quick sub "fixes" if I must, but am still not sure, what do you think? I want to compete in SPL comps, so I wanna make sure I do this right, lol. How much of a difference would I notice if I went with 2 15" BTLs over 4 12" BLs? With 2 15's the box would just be soooo much easier to design, and I think I am worried about fudging something with the 4 12's. sigh, I need a little help plz, guidance, anything.

While reading 'BL Enclosure Recommendations' I stumbled upon the word 'peaking'. Full paragraph below. Please someone, elaborate on this term.. Flatwind: The flatwire coil option simply helps the power handling of the sub. The coil has more surface area to dissipate heat and will take more power then the regular round wire coil that comes in the

  25. Been out of the country for a little over a week and the web guys had questions I couldnt answer until today... most of the new BTL stuff is up now. Specs to be up late tomorrow as well. Note on pricing... while the "base" model pricing did go up, the equivalent pricing did not. Do to the significant increase motor cost for the new subs, and the additional motor strength... we are pricing them as the third magnet optioned subs were. While this will undoubtedly make some people mad, sorry. The new motor with the universal gaps and daily tolerences has more strength than the last one did in full SPL form with the third magnet... so you are still getting more for your …
