how much of a difference is there for output from a 12"btl to a 18",, i have a bl15 fully loaded and shes getting 900 rms, im debating on getting a btl and sell my bl15 but it would cost a lot to buy the btl and get a huge amp for it. should i just buy a bigger amp for my bl or get the btl, if the btl is really that good it ill save up and get it what yall think thanks.

What is the optimal box size (cubic feet) and port area (square inches) for a 12" BTL? Tuning to about 35 Hz.

Hey i have a bl 18 powered by a jl 1000/1. all electrical upgrades are done (upgrading soon) anyways the sub saw 750 watta at the most, it was not beat at all. The other day it cut off in the middle of a song. When i pulled it out i saw that one of the tinsel leads are broke. How would i go about fixing this? is it covered under warranty? would soldering work? Thanks for the help

Here you go....this was on 600 watts and with a speaker terminal broken(1 sub shorted out). Running only 3 FI BTL 12" subs.

I know this has been gone over, but i was just wondering how a single 12" BTL ported at around 2.5 at 32hz...would stand up to two 12" RE se series sealed in 2.5...on an aq2200d. Could i expect any sound quality? any other things you need to know...just let me know. i also thought about inverting the BTL...any concerns or comments on that would also be helpful.

Ok if everything goes smooth I should have 4 ssd 12's. They are dual 2s, (the last version not the new ones) comming my way. The question I have for you guys is how many do you think I should use and what type of box. If its 4th or 6th order I will have to pay for a design (not a big deal). ok well i bought 2 subs a few months back and one of em ended up blowin. so i got scotts number and called him. he told me to send it in and theyd look at it and try n fix it. it has been about 2 months now since i sent it off and i havnt heard from them since. i have emailed scott and nick and ive tried calling scott and no answer what so ever. i understand they are busy but i would atleast think they could answer a phone. i mean seriously......2 months. hopefully one of them will answer me on here

I ordered the 18" BTL on december 30th. I've been reading that they don't get like the motors in or some stuff till next monday? Thats fine with me, cuz I got a lotta work to do on my car. I have 3 batteries, one to replace under the hood. No alternator yet, but I'm doing the big three. Sub up, port back no speaker upgrades yet and headunit soon, but probably after an alternator does that sound decent for now? I'm going to start taking out my third row, and I'm paying 10$ for box specs from a kid named aznboi on an explorerforum.

I am sending in my 12" bl and re-coning it into a 15 and i saw on the site that there is and extended lead time on the BL's so my question is will that still affect me since I am re-conning to a 15" and will be getting a new basket?

So i bought the fi q fully loaded with cooling option and so it can handle an additional 500 wrms but my subwoofer is geting hot after runing it for 20 minutes. its dual 2 ohms voice coils and its wired to amp at 4 ohms my deck has out puts of 2.5 volts here is image of how my amp is set the volt input sensetiviy got moved by the bass.. its set to 1-2 volts. the subwoofer is on a 2.3cubic foot box.. what could be getting it hot?? i only use bass knob that came with it i dont even go pass mid bass knob and at the end of the ride the amp is a little warm but not as warm as the subwoofer.. im scared to burn it.. is my amp set right??

Sorry for making a post about this, it just seems to get answered alot faster than emails. I got a speedy 10 minute response the first day about sending my sub in, but once I sent it out, I never got another email reply. I was just bored in class and a couple things popped into my head that i want some opinion on...i'm a class A noob and i just bought a 15" BTL..anyways i plan on running the sub off a jl 250/1 for the time being until i have enough money to buy a rockford t2k..i know it'll be underpowered as hell but i don't see anything wrong with it lol (i know the gain can't be cranked up so it clips and all don't worry)..but the underpowered sub will still be better than my door speakers that i listen to now since my sub went bye bye haha don't ask.. anyways i'm tight on money being that i'm still a teenager and all .. but nevermind all that sry i just i know there are some expirience…

When it says that all subwoofers are custom made in 3-7 days. Is that one subwoofer or is that the ones you order. Like if i ordered 2 12". and it took 3 days to make them. would that mean 3 days to make each sub. or 3 days b4 both were sent

Hey Im going to be purchasing 2 12s from the website sometime soon. Maybe 2 weeks or so. I havent decided on which ones to go with yet. I have a 03 ext cab silverado with 2 12s already in there. I know Im going to need something under 7" depth. What sub do you recommend? Also what are the differences in the SSD and the Q? ONE more question. I want to power them with RF amps how many watts should I throw to them? Im thinking 2 RF 600.1 or maybe 1 RF T15002.

would a alpine m1000 be a good amp for a fi bl 12? i was going to get the SAZ-1000D but i can get the m1000 for cheaper. there both 1000 rms so i think it would be good

so i have been tracking my shippment and it finaly got over the border and into windsor. but all of a sudden it is back in the states no in ilinios? what does this mean and am i going to have to pay more dutie on top of this?
