hey guys i need some help. i have a FI BL 15 fully loaded for daily for over a year now, never been pushed to it limit, running on about 1200watts, never turned the gain on the amp past the 75% ish mark and never had the receiver on max volume. it seems that some of the coppering windeings around the coil may have slightly seperated. the copper coil itself looks like brand new still not scorched at all from what i can see. i get no audio at all of the woofer , its just completly dead... : ( i loved that woofer too is there any reason y that would happen..? are there maybe any cheep fixes because unfortunatly i dont have the money to get a replacement at the moment. t…

So the Shop I was at today sells DD products, and they had a ton of DD apparel on the wall. I am going to go back and buy a shirt that says Digital Designs on the front and on the back it says something alot the line of grab a hold of some (DD logo) I chuckled to myself at there humor and thought, thats what FI needs... Someone on here said Fi- Hey you didnt need that mirror anyways I thought that would be awesome on the back of a shirt. Would you guys do something like that? If no would you care if i made one for myself?

right now, my set-up is what i got in my sig... i was thinking about getting another ssd. i was lookin for reasonable priced amps that could power two ssd 12"s. i was looking at the SPL DK-3400D and the SPL FX1-5500D. It says their THD at Rated RMS Power 0.50%... I read that good amps have <.1% THD... Is .4% difference that much? And I know that the rms wattage is a little different but these two amps are fairly close in price, why is that?

Hello Fi, A friend of mine has a pro audio set up, and needs to know if it is possible to have recone kits for some Aura subs. They use Neodymium (?) . He loves how they sounds, they play low and loud ! I can show you pics of the drivers when he send them to me. He has several ones to recone, they are very old ! These speakers won't go in a car, just in big boxes for live events. thanks

A member from forums mainly about explorers introduced me to this forum.. which i found many cool stuffs and helpful informations.. I am very interested in buying a Fi subwoofer anytime soon.. hi i'm an old guy, got a fi q15 on an saz 1500d in my suv. my son wants to go to sound comps, so i figured on getting another saz1500d to stap and getting a btl for the weekends. don't need to win but want to at least be competitive enough to keep his interest and make it worth the effort so how much difference will the average user find between the old 2 slug btl and the new 1 slug ? and is the difference enough that i realy should be looking for a one slug. i get that they booth are going to be crazy but on the meter does it matter that much ? i've heard pepole say it wasn't worth upgrading but i don't own either yet . thanks

I have been slowly putting my system together, and I'm about ready to add the mono amp, replace the subwoofer, add sound dampening, and bring my front stage up to full power. To give you guys an idea of what I'm working with: H/U - Alpine CDE-9872 Front Stage - CDT ES-620 6.5" Component Speakers, rated 150W RMS @ 4ohm Rear fills - Stock, connected to H/U, going to stay that way Amp - TMA T320.4, currently hooked up to the front stage, 60W x 2 @ 4ohm, and the subwoofer on 2 channels total of 120W (will upgrade this amp at a later date, its pretty low-end, even though its made by JL) Subwoofer - TMA T12S4P, rated at 150W @ 4ohm, currently running at 120W @ 4ohm The curre…

Thanks to everyone at Fi Car Audio. So much for 3-7 days lead time...Ordered Saturday and was shipped Mon or Tues. Decided to go back from the Aq Hdc315 to the new 09 Bl 15. It's great to have the Fi SQ back. And god does it just absolutely slam and hit the notes with absolute accuracy. Especially, during rock double bass. Ive seen little about the 09 BL so I thought I would post my thoughts and pics. This is my 3rd Fi sub and every time, I am happy about the money and time spent. Can't wait to put more time and it and see how she does after break in. Sincerely, Mike Giessen Mike Giessen Racing inc.

Thanks to Godsmack, I found a new place to go which is much much cheaper than the place i would normally go to and although its longer millage wise, its a short trip time wise and much easie to get to as its in podunk and not the middle of a city. So i set up an appointment for tomorrow.. I just have a couple questions... What tones should I bring? Sine waves or what have you.. And do you guys normally do it with your speaker amp off or on?

This is how it worked out... 28.6 pounds = 12" Q weight. 28.6 pounds = 12 972.7418 grams 15 grams per CD If you do the math you get 864.849453333333 = 865 CD’s. Tommy guessed 864 CD's... The next closest one was JakeTheSnake with 878 CDs Congrats to Tommy! Shoot me an email with your address and we'll get a sub built up for you how you want it. I've got a new game that i'm going to start in the next few weeks that I think all of you will enjoy.

im lookin for one 18" sub, ive got plenty of power to push either the BTL or BL, so power isnt an issue, im lookin for a daily sub thats good for rock or rap, would the daily BTL be alright for pounding for bout 10 to 15 mins cuz i usually only listen to music on my way to work or on my way home, other than that im stuck at the house, or should i stick with the BL?

Hey guys, Im brand new to this forum and hope to be around here for awhile. Now im getting a car very soon and i love sound! So now i need your advice. I dont want to spend as much as the BTL and dont need THAT much power and the amps would cost more. So i would really love to just get the SSD if i knew there wasnt a huge difference between it then the BL. I dont want the Q as there the same price as the BL.. Know which would you get and what amps would be the best for the price. Thanks, Sam Also i was thinking 2 12's or 2 15's. I have a Infiniti 1999 Qx4. And im pretty sure im going to get the SSD. NOW could/would i be able to get a 2 channel amp? So i would only ha…
