I'm putting together an install in a very space-limited situation. The vehicle is a 2003 Dodge Dakota quad cab, and I'm putting two 10" subwoofers behind the rear seats. I plan to use a prefab sealed box designed for the application. Airspace isn't an issue, but mounting depth and overall depth are in a big way. Here's a link to the box: http://www.audioenhancers.com/vehiclespecific/ddq120.php After much searching, the FI SSD 10 appears to be the best subwoofer with a chance of fitting. I plan to buy and measure the box before ordering the subwoofers, and it is my hope that the SSD 10 will fit with a bit of massaging to the rear wall of the box, or at worst a .25…

So I have everything but my subs and I'm killing myself trying to decide on subs! I have an Arc 2300se for sub duty, birth sheet says 1400w bridged @ 4ohms. So I'm looking for two 12s, sealed for space issues, separate sealed boxes that is. 700 watts a piece with SQ being a priority, some Xmax for output maybe, as I do like my bass and want to be able to flex my muscles. Full legatia se 3 way front stage to blend with.

Just ordered a BL12 Fully Loaded and was wondering if a SQ Q-1-2200D would be a good fit with it. I currently have a RE Audio CTX 3200.1 but I do not think it will have enough to push it's potential car already has big 3 upgrade and 200 amp alt and 2 runs 0/1 to the trunk

2 12" BLs @2ohms ea.. been running them off an Atomic 3k mono. Amp is just about shot though, spent 250 getting it repaired already and still doesn't perform correctly. Been looking at getting 2 Sundown 1500s or 2 Sundown 1200s and strapping them. Will I see too much of a ddifference in performance with that little extra wattage? Or will the 1200s suffice just fine? Or does anyone have any other suggestions for an amp to run them on? Money isn't too much of a concern

I am trying to decide what set of 15s would be better to go with. I'm gonna be powering them with a Crescendo BC3500D. In a 1999 Mustang with a 4th order box. So, Fi BL 15 or Sundown X 15??

Hi everyone i'm finally getting back into car audio after about 5 years away from it when I got rid of my 18" AA Avalanche. I Have spent several weeks looking at subs specs, reviews, prices and narrowed it down to 2 12" BLs 2 Ohm DVC My next decision I have to make is what amp to buy. I thought I had it narrowed down to an Alpine MRX-M240X which is 2400 watts rms @ 2 ohms, then I came across the Soundstream TA1.300D which is 3000 watts rms at .5 ohms Here are links to each... Alpine http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-MRX-M240-Series-Digital-Amplifier/dp/B008ENWOC2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_S_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=6SV0QKVJVB89&coliid=IIFGOOD5SUHL1 Soundstream http://www.ama…

Just trying to find out if there is any woofer that FI builds that has T/S like the FI Q 15" but with more Xmax? I was looking at buying the Sundown ZV3 or possibly the ZV4. I liked the higher Xmax and it would edge out a few db over the Q because of this. I have had FI subs before and have always liked them. I remember other products being available but now see that those styles are gone. SO is there only the SP415 now for higher Xmax than the Q series? And if so can someone tell me what the mounting depth is including the top of the mounting flange? SO 11.25 + .75 flange? Thanks

Ordering: The Fi Audio website is easy to navigate. From the time I ordered the subs until the arrived at my house was around two weeks. Unboxing impression: The motors and surround are large. These are no heavy weight contenders but for IB use they are beefy. The surround lets you know that these are high xmax drivers. Install: I am using two IB315's powered by a Sundown Audio SAZ1500D v.3 @ 1 ohm and they are mounted IB in my 2008 Hyundai Elantra. The motors are facing the back seat. I use different settings for SQ and daily listening. For SQ I am using a 40hz/12db high pass and 50hz@18db low pass with a -13db cut on my H/U. This unusual cross over setting is the on…

So I just sold my 2 Kicker 07CVR12's. I'd always heard that 10 and 12 inch subs sounded cleaner, and that they would hit the higher bass range (60-90hz) much better than a 15 or an 18. After a lot of reading here on this site, my conclusion is that this is only the case with much cheaper "entry level" drivers where the manufacturer just attaches a larger cone to a low powered motor for easy SPL gain. With a subwoofer such as the SSD15, would there be very good frequency response all through the sub-bass range? My new understanding is that the only difference between a ssd12 and an ssd15, provided they are both "stock" is that the 15 inch driver will be slightly more …

I was wondering if anyone else experience a change in bass when adding volume. When I play my BL 12's at low to right below half volume they slam deep but if I go to half volume or more they play loud but not as deep anymore?

long story short, I have a 18in btl that I recently blew and picked apart. today I got a 15in btl (both ufo motors) from a buddy of mine and when I was comparing both of them, the 15in version had a double stacked spacer. can I just order the spacers (since I already have a 15in basket from a DC level 5). and can you guys make recones for a dc level 5, since I do not want to go through dc for softparts(I got my reasons)

I am considering a trade for 2 doublestack Fi Q motors. I was planning to build the motors into D2 12's to run off my 2 VVME INNO-D1500's (AP15001D clones) strapped at 2 ohms for around 2.2-2.4K clean power to the pair. Just found out from the current owner one motor is fully loaded and the other is not. How much of a difference is this going to make. Thanks.
