I just picked up the subs I bought my brother for xmas 2 years. Still brand new in the box, x series(12's). I was contemplating buying a saz 1500d. I looked at the specs for it and it said that its 400w at 4 ohms. I have also read this amp is under rated in terms of power. So will this amp run these 2 subs? The alterior motive behind this amp is I will probably upgrade to q's in the next 6 months or so, as well. Any help would be appreciated....

Ok, this is going to be my first setup, and im not big on doing anything normal, i want stuff that makes people go WOW. So im deciding to get a Btl 18. At first i thought about 2, but have about 1200-1600$ to spend atm and figured 1 is fine. so i have quite a few questions as this being my first build. Im probably going to put this in my back seat. I have a 2001 grand am 2 door and figure i can remove the seat and do a nice rear seat/ trunk box for room. and so i can still use my trunk. 1. whats the difference between dual 1 or dual 2 ohm. 2. Is a Hifonics bxi2008d good enough to power my 1 Btl? if u recomend a better amp for about same price please let me know. 3. how …

My sub just arrived today. So I spent most of the afternoon installing this monster into the 9.3 cube @ 32hz box! I know I know, this box is ginormous itself... But oh does it sound good and pound hard! I had plans on listening to the woofer in the 9.3 cubes then maybe cutting box down to 7~ cubes.... But after listening to it for 20 minutes, I am very pleased with the product and with the huge azz box. Anyway I know this isnt much of a review, but more of some customer appreciation and satisfaction. If anyone has any questions regarding this woofer, feel free to ask!

I've got a 12" fi BTL fully loaded in a 2.63^ft ported enclosure. Im powering it with a hifonics bxi2610d amp wired at 1ohm. Hifonics says it will push 2600rms at 1ohm but i feel like thats a little over-rated. I get a little bit of excursion here and there and im worried i might blow the sub? Everyone says its practically impossible to blow a BTL, but im still a little concerned. What do you guys think?

Will have 4 15" BTL's walled in 16cuft after all displacements. Now my issue is I have no more space for batteries and have a 250a alt. I am running 3 NSB90s. The maximum power I can give each BTL is 1730wrms (scoped amps output). Worth doing or not ? Not really looking to upgrade amps in the near future.

I orderd a sub last week , shipping is scheduled for 10/1/09. Its just left Atlanta at 9pm toinght. And i live in the Mid-East coast of florida. . I'm thinkin if my package could go from Moussiri to GA in one day it can make it from Ga to FL overnight, and possibly be here a day early *Crosses Fingers* Any previous package receivers(ow that sounded so dirty) of Fi Subs know if they require a signature i can't find it with my tracking number. Thanks!

hi right now I am in the process of putting together my first system in a 1968 Impala SS and what i am really shooting for great SQ overall will still being able to loud but clear. I want the bass to also sound balanced with the rest of the system and not overpowering mids/highs. Here is what i am looking at as far as speakers go if it makes any difference. 2 pairs of Pioneer TS-C720PRS (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/Speakers/PRS-Series/TS-C720PRS) Speakers Powered by PRS-A900 (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/Amplifiers/PremierSeries/PRS-A900) Now for the subs... I have been thinking along the lines of 2 12's …

I am trying to help my cousin with his setup, but i'm not sure what would be better for him. he has a chevy colorado ext cab. he's set on buying an fi sub, but hes torn between 1 btl and 2 bl's. He is mainly going for dialy spl. details: colorado ext cab. sundown 3000d. kinetik 3800 220A iraggi alt. big three. now my question is, what would be best for spl? 2 12 inch bl's or 1 15" btl. the bl's will have more cone area, but the btl's are built to be louder. (considering the boxes are built to fi's optimal recommendations) all comments are welcomed, thanks.

i know it's always install dependent. but i just want some straight up answers, hopefully answers with some experience behind them. but i was planning on getting 2 (12's or 15's) btl's. and just work my way up to the setup i want as money allows. but i don't want to have to upgrade my alternator and all my electrical other then the basics, like big3, deep cycle bat, yadda yadda. and if i was to get the BTL's i wouldn't give them the 4000ish watts they deserve.... so i started to think about the BL @ 1000w rms. how much of a difference will be if i get 2 BL's at ~2000w vs 2 BTL's @ ~2000w (i'm thinkin around 2000 so i wont have to upgrade electrical) would the BL's perform…

I need help choosing the setup I want to have in my grand am. My current setup is wired with 1/0 knukonceptz wiring with a 200 amp high output alternator, 4 12" kicker cvrs in sealed 1.2 cubic feet box each, with a hifonics brutus 2010 amp. I have focal speakers powered by a pioneer prs-d4100f 4 channel amp with a pioneer deh-p980bt reciever. I want to go with a higher sq setup that can hit lows because the cvrs just cant get that low. I have about 5 cubic feet to work with in my trunk and I wasnt sure if 1 18" Q or 2 15" Q or even just 1 15" Q would be best. I dont even listen to my current setup at full levels beacuse the subs get too loud for my everday driving ne…

I pretty much have all of this setup to be ordered then I started really thinking about things last night. I started thinking if I really wanted to go for a big boom or have somewhat sq within it. Then I was looking around at Q's and thought about nuking the BTL and going to a Q. Well here are my overall goals, I would like to be able to listen to more than just rap / bass cds and that's all I have heard people playing the BTL's on. I do listen to some rap but I like other music as well. Some examples would be stuff like this: , example 2, , . And among all other things just general metal and rock and country. I would also like to be able to go to some competitions a…
