ok so im about to buy the bl15. been kina back and forth between that and the sunshade but anyway. i was wondering how to get the max potential out of this sub (ie: box size, amp size, what options should i get on it, things of that nature). im not going to be competing, as of now anyway. i will be getting another 15, bigger amp and alt and that later though. but like i said im just wondering how to get the best and deepest bass out of this speaker i possibly can.

im just curious will a 12" BL fail thermally or mechanically first? cause it takes the 1800 watts i throw at it at comps like a champ, but im not sure if im hurting it mechanically? the signal is clean and everything, i use a oscope to set gains and to monitor the signal every so often, and i use a DMM to find out how many watts im putting to it. so i just want to know, cause im sure you guys did some fail tests... right? Alright, Im looking at getting an SSD 12. I would like to have 2 12s but i think with my amp (kicker zx 750.1) they would be way under powered. now i have read that u CANT underpower a sub, but in all honesty, would it sound good at all? So i want ur guys opinions on my amp paired with this sub. dont be afraid to tell me its a POS. i want to know. -should i stick with just one? -POS amp? -what amp would u suggest if i decide to go with two? Ive also heard many people say that one Fi sub would sound like two of anything else if its done right. True?

i finally got the call from my house saying i have a very heavy box waiting for me on my doorstep. i rushed home and quickly umpackaged this beast of a sub and was immediately amazed by how this thing is built. picking it up i knew it would be a monster. after a an hour or so of wiring, fitting and tuning i finally got to turn it on. it was instant gratification. im very happy with this purchace, and get even happier every time i turn it on. as everything gets loose and starts to open up, i can really appriciate the tones this thing puts out. it sounds better every time. i only have 4 awg powering it right now because im waiting to put the 1/0 in my future car, but the SA…

Hi all. I've been lurking on these forums for a while doing as much research as possible, but I still have a few questions. Let's start with some info... I currently have two mtx jackhammer jh55 12's in an mtx ported box (about 4.8 cubic feet). They're being pushed by an mtx 600xd...600 watts at 2ohms. So each sub is getting 300 watts. What is the frequency response range of the 18" BTL daily use? also the 18" BL and 18" Q frequency response

I'm looking for depth and sq.going in a ford explorer.I had 2 12w6v2's running on a punch 800.2 but i want more depth and volume.

I am running 2 15" BL'S with a Crunch GP3000D PRO In a 1989 Crx My box is like 4.5 CF Interchangable ports tuned to 36 hz for daily and tuned to 53hz for Comp. I know that the box is a little small for the subs but I could not go any bigger and still be under the window line. I'm hitting a 148.1 outlaw and 147.7 legal. I want higher numbers. Would it be dumb to build a wall? I have to powermaster xs 925 and My voltage stays to about 13.5. Any other help would be great. Thanks all

I currently have a bl 15 i know its rated at 1000 watts but i have a rockford t1500 and the sub can only be wired to 1 or 4 ohm. can the subwoofer take the whole 1 ohm load from this amp. if i turn the gains down on the amp does that reduce the amount of power going to the sub or will i still feed it the 1500 watts+ either way.

i dont have that much trunk space, around 12 cft. is a box of 11 cft including port displacement enough for two btls?

i now have 2 12 l7 and im not satisfied with their output. theyre loud but theyre way overrated in what they do. so i decided to get rid of them and sell them. the next weeks i get an 18 btl and the rf t40001. for electrical i get a kinetik hc 3800. running the amp at one ohm, i expect alot of bass. how is one 18 btl comparable to the l7s?

I recently sold my old setup and im looking into getting a 15" Q and an audioque 1200 amp. will i need to get the bp option if i use this amp or should it be safe without it. The sub will be going into a 3.3-3.4 box tuned around 30hrtz. Also my old setup was 2 12" pioneer premiers tsw3001d4's hooked up to a crunch pzi 1500 in a 3 cuft box tuned to 33hrtz, how do you think the q will sound compared to those?

I've been looking on Fi website for the past two days and I have not seen the BTL under the "Recone" section of the website. I want two 12" BTL's recones fully-loaded. How could I go about getting the BTL recone??

they recemmend on the Q12 to be tuned at 32hz on the ported enclosure. But what size enclosure and what size port?

I got my 18" BTL today!!!! I just wanted to say this thing is a beast and looks PERFECT the way they packaged it was good loved the time they took to just do that! I cant wait until i get the rest of my stuff and get this thing running I wanted to say thanks to FI and Nick for all the help. im buying 2 fi bl 12s fully loaded an i was woundering should i run a t2001bd or a memphis 2500watt on them

heres a vid of me flexin just a little. i am being careful with the amp until i get a second battery. but even with the gain set just above minimum it still hurts and is loud and clean enough to make you feel like your head is being squeezed lol. i'll put more vids up as i tune it better

got my ssd's with blue logo on the front. i already know these woofers are the bomb but the different logo color made them that much sweeter. i have already put them on my memphis mch1300 and well they take your breath away even at low volumes. i can't say enough about this brand. i try to get everyone i know to go the fi way lol. i'll get vids up soon

ok i know ive been making alot of posts about every differnt kind of speaker and its probly getting annoying lol. but i am definatly getting the 2 12" BLs and was wondering if i shouldget cooling or hyperpole. bcuz it says if yer using over 2000W then dont get cooling. but im right on the line

I need to know what wattage i can run a 15" fi q safely at without much worry of blowing it. I know that the reccomended RMS is 1000 but i've seen videos of them running at 1500; is that safe for the sub?
