03 XXX 12 D2 Recone Kit Arrived Tuesday! It was in a box smaller then the diamater of the recone kit, so the surround was all mashed up and slanted, most of it formed back to it's orignal shaping before it was glued down, but one small part is still lop sided which kinda sucks... also there is about a 2 1/2 - 3 inch long scratch on the surround on the inner part that i noticed right out of the box. the recone kit works 100%, no complaints mechanically! great job, but I expected a 'new' cosmetically and mechanically sound kit. the scratch does bug me, it is pretty long, looks like someone had long finger nails and just pushed in a bit and ran it around the inner of the sur…

I used to have 2 12" alpine type R's but my amp blew and i sold them. Now i loved the type r's they hit really hard, but the box they were in was 3.2 cubic feet sealed. Horrible i know but i didnt know anything about car audio when i bought the box. Anyway the only thing i didnt like was the fact that they couldnt keep up with my techno music so i want something that will sound awesome will all types of music and be as loud if not louder than the type R's. I want a 60/40 sq/spl ratio. I've boiled it down to those 3 subs. I will probably be putting 1200 rms to either setup and its going in a 93' honda prelude. help!

I'm constantly debating this. I know they are two completely different drivers, but bare with me. To my understanding, the fi q is meant for serious sq setups. I've also heard that you haven't heard lows until you get one of these. And as the website says, the bl is supposed to fill the gap between the q and the btl. Now, I listen to a lot of rap, and the lowest notes I'd go for are on things like White Girl. and Put on, and similar. I know that classical has ridiculous lows, but I just don't know if I need that. I like to have my music loud, and I prefer the bass to be felt in my chest. (Don't worry, I'm considerate of others on the road) I usually have my volume pretty…

I recieved my pair of dual 1ohm Q 12"s roughly 4 months ago. I had previously been running a pair of Diamond Audio TDX 12"s and was looking to upgrade. The Q's seemed to be a good contender for this sub, so I decided to try them out. I will start by showing my appreciation for the people associated with Fi. I would like to say that the countless hours Shawn Fleming spent on the phone with me trying to find the right product that would fit my taste and goals was incredible. Also, the quick response to my email and endless questions from Scott shows his dedication to customer service and desire to create another lasting relationship with his coustomers. Thank you both for …

What cause this? the coils arent burnt and brown and the woofers are still stiff...is there a warranty? and i see the recone is $140 how much would Fi Charge me to do the job? And i dont have the packaging for when i received the woofers so would Fi ship me an empty so i can send the woofer in?

I figured I might as well get the Bp, even though my mono amp only has 600w into 2ohm, not 1 ohm compatible. Maybe it would explode idk? Anyways I hope I got it right... I hook this up in parallel correct? Thanks. Looking forward to seeing how good this thing is. Im all about SQ, not looking to warp the windshield like some of the vids. hehe Mike

I'm planning on putting a headunit and sub in my 96 accord sedan. I am looking to get a refurb Sundown SAE-1000D to power the sub for only ~$230. Here are the stats: 1000 watts x1 @ 1 ohm 600 watts x1 @ 2 ohms 300 watts x1 @ 4 ohms I should get a sub with dual 2ohm coils, so that when wired in parallel, they would be at 1ohm to the amp, correct? I'm undecided between a 10" and 12" Q. Any suggestions?? I don't really know what the difference would be (stupid question maybe?) I will be putting it in a ported box. I just moved from Pittsburgh to Houston for the summer, so I don't have any tools to make a box, otherwise I would have liked to do that. I will have a shop make…

Hey everyone, been a while since i've posted last, however im starting to get back to fine tuning my setup and noticed on Fi's website they have a new option called hyper pole piece (or close to that) and was wondering is the new 09 model much better then the 08 models? I ordered my 2 18" BL's mid year in 08 (August 08) and it is fully loaded with every option and cooling etc.. they still sound excellent, but was wondering if selling them and buying these new models are even worth the time? Thanks
