With a ported box from 6-9 cubic ft. BTW just for a lucky guess how much db will I possibly b hitting will it be over 145db possibly 148db-149db.is that loud? Please answer all my questions. P.S. I found the US Amps MD1D for just 209.00 is that a good price or is it the base price? 210.00 is my max im on a budget. Also how good are US Amps from a 1/10? Are they…

Trying to make this as simple as possible I have 3kwrms @ 2ohm to work with roughly 12 cubes after displ. 45W 35T 20D Walled in a CC Truck 4 15" SSD's Sealed or 2 BTL 18's and add another 2kwrms I currently have 2 18" BL's ported but am looking for a little more spl. Its for daily and a groundpounder. I have my 18's in a 6 cube box tuned around 34hz, but they lack the real low end and high end response i was looking for. I wanted to do a sealed set up because its been a while since i went sealed. What do you think? Try 4 15 SSDs or just save up until i can get another amp and go btls in the same enclosure. thanks-

Would it be ok to run 2 10" Qs off of a Sundown 1500d? I know they would be underpowered and wonder if it would be a real big deal? I was going to go 2 10" SSDs off of the same amp...but got to thinking about the Qs b/c they require less airspace. Kinda not sure on which to get. Any help?

Well this is my first post, as well as my first purchase ive made with Fi CAr Audio. My 4 15's will be here in a couple of days,..my amps are installed,...the box it built.....the car has been heavily sound deadened......Do i need to break in the subs before i really see what they can do? If i do or if you recommend that i do what are the procedures in doing so and doing it properly.....Any help would be greatly app. Also what would the power handling be on the SSD 15 Dual 1 ohm if it was upgraded with the copper coil and bp power option? They say it will raise the power handling from 200=500 watts depending on application? What determines that? My box is about 10 cu ft…

I've always thought the SQ of the BL and BTL were kinda iffy and more geared towards SQ. However I notice that the BL and BTL both have daily options and the new BTLs always have a high Xmax option now. Do these subs have decent SQ? I friend of mine is looking for a pair of 12s ported or a single 15 ported being powered by a 2500 watt Kicker zx2500.1 amp that'll get very loud and have decent sq. I like the look of either of these for him but want to know more about their sq.

I used to have a pair of Kicker CXV 12s sealed in 1.2 cubes each chamber powered off my JBL GTO 1201.1 II amp (puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms) and they had a good amount of output and sounded ok but nothing spectacular. I know they would have sounded alot better with more power, like a SAZ 1500D. Which do you feel would get louder with the SAZ 1500D and the same sealed enclosure?

Hey guys, I'm choosing between these two setups. 1) Two 12" Fi SSD's powered by a Cadence DCA 1600 or 2) One Fi BL 15" powered by a Sundown SAE-1200Dd I listen to mostly rap and either setup will be going in a ported box built to specs. Would the two twelves be louder because the extra cone area? Which one would have better SQ? Which one would you personally choose? Thanks everyone!

Hey whats up guys, i'm here to talk about my future setup and see if you guys can give me some pointers and a good direction on where to go. First off, i'd like to thank FI for the safe delivery of my subs. They came here with no problem . I'd also like to let everyone know that i am very satisfied with the 2 12" D1 Q's that i ordered, they exceeded my expectations. Quality is great, sounds great, everything is great! FI all the way for quality products. Now onto the my current setup 2 12" Qs running off of a single ED Nine.1 amp (both subs running at about 600 watts a piece.) Subs are placed in a pre-made JL Audio PowerWedge Box (dont know the dimensions) Now i'm very co…

Okay people told me that a 18'' fi.ssd wouldnt fit in a 2004 chevy aveo. but im going with the 15'' fi.ssd. i know they say the fi.ssd 15's and 18's belong in a ported enclosure but what about a wedged enclosure? wedge enclosures are very loud their basically SEALED but they use your whole car as a bandpass and it gives you a 10-20db increase. most people dont know about them thats how you get the maximum slam out your subs. Please Reply back. thanks guys:)

it shows that the cooling option costs nothing for the Bl now, not sure if it is supposed to be that way or not. just wondering...the way i figured that out was becuase i was pricing a Bl and a Q 12 and the Q 12 came out as a higher price than the Bl.

ok so i am trying to pick the right sub and set up for me.. the car is a 98 Lexus gs300 i currently have a jl audio 500/1, but can give it to a friend and pay a little more for a jl 1000/1 i listen to mostly hip hop/rap..and some times house and rock..but not often.. i would like 1 12, ssd has a rms of 800 and the q of 1000, i figured the q would be better for me in case i ever feel like its not loud enough i could just get a more powerful amp, but figured i would ask as i don't have any experience with fi.. also for box design i know everyone asks the same question go with a sealed or ported box.. i would think a ported since i listen to alot of hip hop.. any and all he…

Hey all....in the past month or so I've had an issue on going with my standard BL 15". On a certain low note it will make this clanking, metallic type noise. I took the sub out today, not that I know what I'm looking for but apparently I shouldn't let it do this anymore since it could become damaged. I have a Kicker ZX1000.1 hooked to it. Would this be an issue with my box or is it something I would need to send the sub back to the factory to fix? Thanks -Rob

I have been looking around a while and going back and forth, I think I have narrowed it down to 3 sub types. The Fi Q and BL 15's or the Elemental Designs 16Ov.2 subs, I am going to put these into an 08 Mazda6 and I am looking for good SPL with a nice tight SQ. That is why I have narrowed it down to these models. I would like some opinions on the difference in the Q and BL's and if anyone has experience with the ED and how they would compare to the Fi Subs. Also Which amp should I get 2 run these? I was looking at a AQ2200D and an orion d2400 , any others I should look into or work well with these? I would like to order these ASAP, any help/opinions would be greatly aprec…

I am deciding on going with 3 15s or 2 18s, since the SD is almost equal. Obviously I am leaning towards the 18s, I can save money and won't have a funky ohm load. But my issue is the airspace, minimum on the 15s is 2 cubes, so 3 would be 6 cubes. But minimum on the 18s is 4 cubes and ranges up 8, while the 15s only range up to 2.6. So realisitcly which would be a better way to go? I am using a Sundown 3000 for power and I do not have a TON of space to work with.
