hello im building a sealed box for 2 q15 subs in my 1996 honda civic hatchback, i have a few questions? 1.... should i have each sub in seperate chambers or the same chamber? what is the pros and cons of doing either? 2.... what kind of difference in sound should there be between the largest recommended size encloser and somewhere inbetween? and whats the pros and cons of each? 3.... what kind of effect would there be having the subs down facing? Now for my front stage i want some more midbass, i have 2 different types of 6.5 inch woofers, infinity perfect 6.1 and older set of diamond audio hex series, i was thinking of putting the infinitys in the doors and getting some …

Hey guys! I am currently planning what i think (IMHO) what will be a pretty cool build but i have a few questions. Background: i currently have 1 fi Q12 loaded 2011 model running on a hifonics brutus 1700watt amp in a box that is too small so here is what im planning to do... The Plan: i would like to custom build a box to hold two fi q 12s. right now, its about 4 cuft ported and tuned to 32hz. i can provide tech specs if y'all need but i dont think its necessary for this post. The Question: I know fi came out with new models for 2012, and i know that running 2 different subs in the same box is a bad idea, so... will i have a problem running my 2011 q in a box with a 20…

I hope this is posted in right place.... Two questions: 1.) What is the RMS and peak wattage for a single 12" BL with the dual2, flatwind, daily and pchamfer options? The reason I am asking is because I seen on Fi 's site that it says 1000w/rms, but everyone is highly reccomending the sundown 1500d (which i am about to get.) So, why is that so if it is only rated for 1000watts? Does adding those options bring it up? I had a new custom box built by Sound Advice here in florida and the guy who was instlling it says to me that I will not notice too much of a difference in swithcing from a RF Punch 1000w/rms amp to a 1500 watt/rms amp ( in this case to the sundown 1500d)…

If anyone is running them in a sealed box how many cubic feet do u have them in? Hey guys I got a 93 Grand Caravan and two Fi Q 18's With BP packages commin hopefully next week Im finalizing some ideas on a box and wanted some input. It gonna be subs firing up port along bottom out back. Im aiming for S.Q.L, i figure it will be loud regardless I'm not trying to put up huge numbers i want it to be very deep and clear thats all So im thinking Height = 26.5" Width = 47" Depth = 39" All in 3/4"MDF / im doubling the top sheet where the woofers are going. According to the RE Box calculator which i dont know how accurate it is it tells me Internal Displacement = 16.068 CuFt Before Sub (0.24CuFt x 2),minor Bracing( maybe .4CuFt) and After Port Displacement.…

OK, i am doing a system for a friend in a 1996 lincoln town car, the equipment i am getting is 2- 18" SSD's and will be powered off a Rockford Fosgate t1500-1bd . The problem is there are hydraulics in the car so i have very limited trunk space to work with. the measurements i have taken leave me with a max of 39" wide x 24.5"length x 14.5" tall . i think this comes out to be about 6.6 cu.ft. BEFORE any displacements . I know that this is WAY UNDER THE RECOMMENDATION, but i do not have any more room to spare. it will never be metered or compete it is just for show which is why he wants the 18's but even though it's, not going to compete it still has to be LOUD. I was…

Which would be louder? (Daily) 1. (2) fully loaded BL15s with about 3.2ft3 and 50sq" of port "each" tuned to 33Hz..... with a Hifonics Collosus (3200rms x 1@2ohm) so that would be about 1600rms each. or 2. (1) Fully loaded BTL18 with about 7ft3 and 120sq" of port tuned to 33Hz......pushed off of a Hifonics Collosus also. Going in a 2dr Explorer Sport

Got 2-12" BTLs the old versions. Im trying to make up my mind on what to power them with between a AT-5000.1D or the AT-7000.1D. Its only going to be a daily blowthrough in a '97 Thunderbird. Which do u think I aught to go with? If I went with the 5K Id be saving needed space due to less batteries. If I went with the 7K its a $400 difference in price and Id have to get an extra rear battery on top of the ones I already plan to run.

Is 2000 watts enough power for a Fi Q 18? Also I was wondering what would be better in my Dodge Ram Quad cab, its going to be inside the cab. 2 Fi Q 12's in a sealed box with 1.2 cubic ft per chamber or 1 Fi Q 18 in a sealed box with 5 cubic feet Thanks

Could someone guide me on what size enclosure would be correct for the four of these big bad subs. They are 18 inch btl fully loaded. The customer would like a wall. The ruff dimensions are 35 inches tall, 45 inches wide, and @26 inches deep. Any help with the vent width, hieght, and length would be great.

Ok so on the 10, 15, and 18" bl the fs for both the d1 and d2 are the same, but on the 12 d1 is 35.2 and d2 is 39.8hz. I was wondering if that was a misprint or if someone knew the reason it was so different. I wanted a 12 d2 for daily but that fs seems kind of high especially when im used to the lows of my q...

Hey guys, I am planning on installing a 10in Fi Q subwoofer in my 2009 BMW 128i. I have wanted to do an install in this car for quite a while but limited trunk space has kept me away until I decided to build a custom fiberglass enclosure. I plan on using an AQ1200 D amp with the Q and with that being said I am concerned with the amount of power I will be drawing from the car to power the amp and sub. Any input would be greatly appreciated as to whether or not this might pose a problem in the long run with my battery or alternator. Thanks in advance.

with 2K RMS should i go with a BL or a BTL ??? i hear most people run their BTL at like 4k rms or 3k rms and i would rather run a BTL if it wont be vastly underpowered....i was reading on the forum and i think it was tejcurrent who ran 2 18" BTL's off of 2 hifonics 2K RMS amps and hit right below 151. so if i ran 2k to a Bl would it get just as loud as 2k on a BTL ?
