My tahoe was rear ended a 2 weeks ago destroying my BL 18s. I had just purchased a RF T2500-1 and im awaiting my second. I have an Avalanche now and i want to run 3 dual 1-ohm BL 15s. My question is will the two 2500s be too much power for the BLs? Also, is there any problem wiring the subs in a "single voice coil per amp" setup, ie: 3 subs, 1 voice coil on one amp, one on the other?? Im kinda new at do-it-yourself car audio when it comes to complex wiring, so any help or advice, good or bad, is welcome.

Foreward fire in a trunk, which of these three boxes are better. The smaller the box the closer the back of the box is from the back of the sub. All are from RE's box calculator. Each box has 16 square inches of port per cubic foot, the first two are off by -.003- & +.008 sq in. The box is 23-26 deep, is that bad for dampening? How far should the back of the magnet be from the box? 2 Fi BTL 12" 4-6kw @ 1ohm 2.46 cubic feet each @ 34.75 HZ with 78.75 square inches of port, box face is 17 x 37. I just ordered 3 SP4 15's and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on enclosure size, tuning and square inches of port for it to hammer. They are going in my SUV and I will power them with 3 Rockford Fosgate 2500bdcp amps. My dimensions are 46W x 38D x 23H. I have no wiggle room for width but for depth and a little higher I do.

Is it ok to run 3 subs off 1 amp without any major worries. I was thinkin 3 15" BL's off 1 RF4000.1. What do you think? Or maybe I should just shut up and run 3 SAE-1000D's.

Well i asked quite awhile back what i should tune to if i wanted a loud daily listener, and most people stated 33-35 hz. It turns out that the box i've made is 34.97xx, so i just want the final word from people before i seal up the box and have to live with it. I mainly listen to rock and rap, and want it to be loud, but won't be visiting a TL anytime soon. Edit: Sub: 18" Bl. Box: 6.3 cu ft, tuned to 34.97xx. amp: would love sundown, but may have to settle for a bxi2006d (which would be alright for me, just would prefer the sundown)

Hopefully someone can help. I found a 3hp motor, but it only has the 4 bolt layout where the basket secures. I've seen a few of these motors rebuilt w/ fi softparts so i know it can be done. My question is what cone assembly, or coils and spiders should I get (assuming I use FI) to make it perform similar to an eclipse TI? Also, what basket should I use, or is there one that I can use with a four bolt pattern? I need some guidance and am a little knew to this so bare with me please, and maybe a price range so I know what I'm getting into. Thanks for the help. Also, when do the new woven tinsels come into production, and will all products be switched to this? It's …

so Im trying something new with my truck, I have an ext cab s-10 with a hole in the back...a big one... I can fit 2 12'ss, have about 8 cubes to work with(preferably a little less), and 3000 watts of power. I really want to give fi a try after having some trouble with my previous subs. Im lost as to which to go for the BL SSD or the Q, all seem to be a good choice to me for my application. Im going to go ported for sure, around 35hz. First in foremost i want loud music, It doesnt have to be the most accurate, but i dont want it to sound like a fart iether. So, can you guys help feed my addiction?

I've been searching google for a long time now, trying to find the actual formula. I have always used an online calculator when building my boxes, and ended up just building where I thought looked good. I was using this calculator here: http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 because I am wanting to build a new enclosure for my yukon, but I keep getting different figures depending on if the width of the port is larger, or the height. I want to build a box with 20ft after displacement so each btl will have its minimum 5ft. I was going to see how long I needed to make the slot port if I just stretched it across the bottom of the box. The box external dimensions are…

  17. Whats the best kind of wood I can use to get the full preformace out of a 18'' FI.BTL with these specs? Dual 2 Ohm,Cooling,HiXm Coil,Induct heat ring,And Daily option. I plan on buying four!!! Also the recommended option is 2000 Rms but Steve Meade told me he gives his 5000 Rms each he has four also. ''audio-neon'' told me ''meade knows how to build enclosures to compensate for overpowering the woofers thats why he gives them that much power''. If thats true how will I make my enclosure inorder to do that if I plan on overpowering the subs. Is that a good thing if I have a enclosure do that or just stick with 2000 Rms each (or maybe 2600 rms if so). FI.BTL Specs (BTL18) …

Hello, I am new to the forum. I just purchased 4 Fi X12's on sale from Fi. I was wondering what kind of box I should use with them. I would like ported for more air movement. The Fi website does not have any recommendations for the sub besides the size of the box. "sealed= 0.9-1.3 Ported=1.6-2.2" cubic ft. I was looking for some kind of calculator for port size and what frequency would be good with these subs. They are going in a 1990 GMC Sierra ext cab w/removed back seat. they will be in a straight line. Should I enclose each separately or all in one enclosure with one port? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I recently hooked up 2 Fi BL 10's to a pdx 1.1000 connected to the battery by 4 gauge wire. Within ten minutes of playing i had blown the fuse coming from the battery to the amp. I was wondering if attempting to run this setup off 4 gauge wiring is hindering the ability of the system and if it would be beneficial to up the wire to a 0 gauge. Thanks in advance for the help The fuse was a 10GA stinger fuse, switched to a 25A raptor ANL fuse & holder after burning the fuse. I switched because the stinger fuses were too spendy.

  22. Hi, I have been looking at FI for a while and I am thinking about getting 4 Q 12's. I will be running 2 MTX TA92001 amps which put out 3000 watts rms @1 ohm or 2000 @2 ohms. would 1000 watts (2 ohm setup) be enough to max out the sub or should I run a 1 ohm setup and just turn it down a little bit and give it more power. also, I have about 10 cu ft of trunk space and i am probably going to run 2 cubes ported for each sub. Should i seperate each sub in its own 2 cube box with its own port or just build a big box with no seperaters and one big port. and one final question for those of you who have had experience with the Q's and the BL's. How much louder will the BL's get …
