I've been E-mailing Scott from Fi Audio back and forth but it usually takes a while for response and i realize hes bussy at the dB Drag World Finals. I desperately need these specifications for my Fi X 12s. LE in Mega Hertz- Z in Ohms- PE in watts- Ive been trying to get this info for weeks now so that i can finally build my box. Hey guys, Finally ordered my Q, 15" w Cooling+Spider... so pumped! but now I have a dilemma I have ported box that is built to the specs of 3ft. cubed @33hz, but wanted to know if I will hear any audible difference by going to a 3.5cube @33hz? Is it worth it for the Q? Goals are just to have the loudest setup given my amp (1500d sundown), sub, and trunk space Just wanna know what, if anything, i would be missing out by keeping the box at 3 cubes thanks

what add ons should i get on a 15" BL if i plan to use it daily powered by a sundown 1500?

Hey, I've got a MA Audio HK12X2 that is in need of a recone, I burped it once in '04 finals (it was it's first and las burp) it's been sitting since. The recone will need to be for spl Application, 3" VC 3/16-1/4" gap I'd appreciate any info. Thanks

I am running a fullyloaded bl15 off a planet audio bb2400 making about 1600rms. Electrical- big three, 1/0 throughout, second battery in rear, voltage stays around 14.3, drops to 13.6 for tones. My first enclosure was 5ft^3 tuned 36, 60 sq" port, with bracing, angle boards and routered port edges. Sub faces drivers seat while port fires up behind passenger seat. I hit a 143.8 meca style. Built a new box 3.5 ft^3 tuned 45 with all the bracing, angle boards and routered port edges and dropped to 141.7. I wanted to find out what box changes I may make to increase score, and if I was crazy trying to reach a 150 with a bl?

Brand new fi ssd wired to 4 ohm on a apsm 1500 mini for break in all set with smd dd-1 had hooked up for 1 day and it broke neck joint smoked coil former has hole and just overall dunno why it would have happened that way with low power, song played was off decaf zip 31 track was first in list, running in a 03 2500 ram diesel has 145amp alt dual big batteries under hood running 4ga power n ground into amp and 8ga raptor wire to sub. Hey guys. Got a question concerning how much power to give a BTL. My previous system was a loaded 12" BL @ 1ohm load, and pushed by a 1500D amplifier with gains at about 7/10 and 4V headunit @ 22/35. I figure it was about 1200RMS? Now, I see all these people with BTL's saying they push them with 3500RMS+. I just don't see how that's going to be possible.. I'm asking because I figured I could get away with running a 2500D amp for a single loaded 12" Fi BTL . Should I really be looking at more powerful amps?

Hey everybody, as you can see im a newbie lol but my question is im plan on getting a 15" Fi Bl w/ p chamber option and its going to be running off a Rockford Fosgate P1000 1bd (1000+rms) and i was wondering if I needed a new car battery or should i just hook up a cap to the amp

i just planned to put my 18 btl in a 6th order bandpass (60 hz / 30 hz tuning) and i already got the wood sawed too. ive never tried a bp yet so i thought it would be nice to give it a chance. what do you think? is it better to put the btl in a big ported box or go with the 6 th order. i currently have a 5 cft ported box @ 30 hz but i want to increase efficiency and loudness of the box. amp is a bxi 2610.

Hey guys I got a 93 Grand Caravan and two Fi Q 18's With BP packages commin hopefully next week Im finalizing some ideas on a box and wanted some input. It gonna be subs firing up port along bottom out back. Im aiming for S.Q.L, i figure it will be loud regardless I'm not trying to put up huge numbers i want it to be very deep and clear thats all So im thinking Height = 26.5" Width = 47" Depth = 39" All in 3/4"MDF / im doubling the top sheet where the woofers are going. This is a box plan I made, and want some output on this. I was hoping someone could double check "my work" as you would call it, to see if everything seems okay. Does Fi offer a recone kit that would fit on a MA Audio 1800XL? If not, who would? The recone kit would have to include a new basket.

Reconing my 15's to 18's. Plan on using 6 spoke 18" baskets, linear roll spiders, not set on cones and possibly a coil with a slightly bigger WW. Any possible issues I might see? Suggestions comments?

I was plan of buying 4 Fi BL series 15's. I needed to know how much RMS wattage could the speakers really take. I am going with the flatwind voicecoil, with the cooling option, and the daily driver. I already have an amp in mind that puts out 4kw. If the speakers can take a little more I will looking into maybe a 5kw amp. I do plan to use a bass processor in line with the amp. I am open to any suggestions.

Title says it all. I can build a enclosure with about 11 cu ft (internal volume, displacement of the subs has been removed). I read on a forum a while ago that you get the best SQ if you go with a big vented enclosure. I want to hit the lows but not to loose the highs completely. I listen to almost everything that's called music. That means from Queen to ATB to Bob Marley. My goal is SQ. The car is a Toyota Celica GT, this one: I will be using a Hifonics BXi 2610D amplifier pushing 2600W rms on to two Fi Q 18" subs. which one would sound louder (spl) because i like the idea of having an 18 but i only have room for about 5 cubes so after diplacement and all that it would be in the 4cu/ft range like i know it would have more cone area but in a box too small for it btl would have the cooling and himax coil options
