  2. I got a 93 740il, i want to mount the subs on the rear deck and do a blow threw... dimensions of the trunk are - width 3', height 1.5', and there is a difference of 6.5" from top depth to bottom depth being the top is less, the port thru the rear seat can be a max height of 1.5' and is set at 1.1' without cutting any leather seat and width of 10", i have allot of room to play with the depth in the trunk well over 3' in the least deep spot, i tried using re's box calculator but it didn't help that much. thanks.

My enclosure specs are 36 wide 18 tall and 30 deep. According to the12volt.com this should be a lil over 9ft³. I want a 33 Hz tuned port I'm still undicided between 4 by 16.5inch port with a 11 inch length or 5 by 16.5 inch with 14 inch length. I'm more in question about the lengths. Are they accurate?

Does Fi offer a recone kit that would fit on a MA Audio 1800XL? If not, who would? The recone kit would have to include a new basket.

I haven't purchased the Q yet but here is the box. Will the bracing get in the way or will I be good? I'll get measurements tomorrow of how far from the hole the bracing is and how many inches in between the two peices if that would help. Appreciate it!

  8. hey all, i am looking to build a 4th order wall setup in my 88 suburban with 4 BTL UFO pie slug 18s, they will have xmax coils and rig is dedicated SPL/demo. i would really love to find out what sealed size i need to base my wall off. since i want the bandwidth i am thinking 2:1 ratio. i have a calculated 100cf3 to work with so space is a plenty.. (50.25w x38t x91l) subs will be inverted (motor showing) all on the back wall, loading wall port will be drivers side. untill i find a sealed cf size per sub i really cant do a thing... ready to start buying lumber and resin

I'm looking at buying 2 15" Q's with the bp option and just using it for daily driving no competitions. I wasn't sure if it is worth paying more money for the SAZ-3000D or if the AQ2200D is just as good of a fit for my application. I have been through a lot of bad amps and want to go with a good quality and very reliable amp that I won't be afraid it will break after a year of use. I don't know if anyone has or heard a setup like this with either amp but any input would be greatly appreciated.

I need some help with the dimensions of my slot port before I go ahead and make a disaster. I have a 15" SSD in a 3.8 cuft box. I'd like to tune it to 33Hz as per Fi's recommendation Using one of those online calculators I got the following dimensions 3"H x 6"W x 5.22 L Does that look right? How would that be affected if I wanted to make 2 ports? Any help would be appreciated

  12. So... I was on my way home listening to my Q and it suddenly stopped working. I parked and left it on and felt the sub while it was playing. When I pushed in just a tad, I felt it move a little. But when I let off...nothing. I took the sub out and found that the black plastic piece that holds the push terminals in came un glued. Im assuming that's the problem... I tried to get a reading with my DMM, but I think its a piece of junk. It just read 1. My gain is at about half. Amp is a planet audio rxd1000d which im selling soon. 2.5ft^3 box at 32hz. Don't think all that matters though considering I just need to know how to fix it right? Anyways...thanks in advance. Jonathan.…

Hey guys, Finally ordered my Q, 15" w Cooling+Spider... so pumped! but now I have a dilemma I have ported box that is built to the specs of 3ft. cubed @33hz, but wanted to know if I will hear any audible difference by going to a 3.5cube @33hz? Is it worth it for the Q? Goals are just to have the loudest setup given my amp (1500d sundown), sub, and trunk space Just wanna know what, if anything, i would be missing out by keeping the box at 3 cubes thanks

I am running a fullyloaded bl15 off a planet audio bb2400 making about 1600rms. Electrical- big three, 1/0 throughout, second battery in rear, voltage stays around 14.3, drops to 13.6 for tones. My first enclosure was 5ft^3 tuned 36, 60 sq" port, with bracing, angle boards and routered port edges. Sub faces drivers seat while port fires up behind passenger seat. I hit a 143.8 meca style. Built a new box 3.5 ft^3 tuned 45 with all the bracing, angle boards and routered port edges and dropped to 141.7. I wanted to find out what box changes I may make to increase score, and if I was crazy trying to reach a 150 with a bl?
