Right now i have a 15 d2 Fi BL its sick... but i cant leave it alone... soooo any opinions on the power handling on 2 Fi BL 15's? and any suggestions on a amp to run both of them on? im thinking about reconing my older Bl but its up in the air for now... so any opinons?

Hi everyone on SSA and Fi audio, i am new to this forum. I herd lots of good things about Fi audio, so iv decided to give there woofer a try. i plan on ordering one in a few weeks. im thinking im gonna get me a single 15" BL to start Fully loaded as a daily with 2ohm and universal option. Now my question is i need plans for an enclosure and also what should it be tuned to?..... I never tuned a box myself so i may need some step by step if its a complicated design. Thanks

Hey everyone, I have a pair of d1 12" Q's. One of the wires coming from the cone going to the terminal on the sub snapped... and there seems to be some sort of burn on the wire (its blackened at both ends). Any explaination on why this would happen and any way to fix this. I know i can solder the wire back together but it just looks like it was too short to begin with, when i connect the two pieces of the wire together and press down on the sub it looks as if the wire was never long enough and just kept pulling on it until it finally snapped... Also if i can solder it back together should i add a longer piece of wire in? and where do i get this wire??? I dont know if this…

Hey i use to have 2 (dual 2)12" kicker cvrs running off of a zx750.1 now i have 2 (dual 2)12" FI ssds running of a zx1500.1 and my cvrs are louder then my ssds, the ssds are in a 4 cube ported box tuned to 32hz. My electrical is a 200a EA alt, Yellowtop under the hood. Ive got 10guage speaker wire, 1/0 power/ground wire. When i try to set the gains using the gain setting tutorial i dont get any voltage reading from my dmm so i try and set it by ear and the subs just stop playing when the subs arent moving that much. Im not sure whats going on. Im almost positive i hooked the subs up to read a 2ohm load i remember goin gfrom the positive from amp to positive to sub to posi…

I have a 12'' Q with Bp and its powered by a hifonics 1208d. I was wondering if the amount of cubes made it sound different. I know it does but how much. I wanted to go with a 2.5^3 tuned to 32 hz. The only problem with this is idk if i will have the space. So would 2 cubes sound any different and how?

hello everyone. i just got metered today and had a 139db at 48 hertz with my single 12 btl. Just wondering if thats in the ball park of other people.it was on regular music i think the song was jeezy-put on

ok so i was thinking of either getting 1 or 2 fi q 12's or 1 or 2 fi q 15's because i want a little more sq, but i like listening to rap sometimes and i was wondering how low a q 12 can play

Ugh i just bought a box form a audio store and its a 1.75 cuft and and im sure if i want to use it. Would it be ok to use it tell i find out how to build my own box?

ok so I have an old style 18" BTL w/ pchamf, hixmax coil, and 3rd mag.. i want to upgrade and have 2 18" BTLs but as you know they do not offer those options any more and Fi will not make me one with those options, already spoke to them.. if I buy a new style BTL with the newer motor and put it in the same box with my current BTL would that be ok? how will it sound if any one has done it ? and will i damage my sub? I have a 12" bl and I currently have it wired with 16 gauge speaker wire and I am about to re-wire it with 12 gauge, by doing this can I expect a a change in the output of the sub?

Im purchasing 1 fi btl n2 18 inch, and im not sure whether to choose dual 1 ohm or dual 2 ohm. I have a 4000 watt mono amp with a lowest possible rating of 1 ohm. I used to have 2 12s but im moving to this 1 18 inch and wish to have it running at 1 ohm. Ive read around and from what ive heard, i should go with the dual 2 ohm sub, but i wanted to be sure before this purchase. thanks for your help

Right now i have my 2 Q 12's in a 5^ft @ 33hz with 71sqin of port box. I was wondering if I built another box same size and tuning(might tune to 32hz) but with 80sqin of port would i notice any difference in sound?

Does anyone know what the F3 for a pair of X 10's sealed in 1cft will be? Will be at 800~900 wrms for the pair. I listen to metal-hard rock, with the occasional techno/hiphop just for show off. Trying to save some space and these woofers call for some tiny sealed numbers so I think this is the way to go.

I have a 15" BTL fully loaded with 4000 wrms in the back of my jeep cherokee it is in a audio enhancers box right now. It is loud but I believe it could be way louder with the right box can anyone hook me up with some plans? Thanks in advance.

would anyone recommend running 2 hifonics brutus 1606d mono class amps to a 15" fi btl sub at 2ohms and connecting each voice coil separately if no. why not?

Driving along one day and my 12" SSD cuts out. Its in a sealed 1.1 cu ft box. I l=pulled the sub out of the box, and noticed that an internal lead on each of the voice coils has come undone and is frayed. Am i Going to have to send it in to Fi to get reconed? Does anyone know a good shop in the SF Bay Area that could fix this? Also, after a bit more research, it seems this can happen when using an improper sized box. But i was using the Fi recommended 1.1 cu ft for a sealed box. But I do not have the…

This is the box I came up with, but just by the numbers, I don't know what the response will be like and how smooth it will be. Box: 44"x18"x20" (outer dimensions) and 37.5"x16.5"x18.5" (inner dimensions using 3/4" mdf excluding port) Port: 4"X16.5" slot on left 18.5" long That should leave me with ~6.6cubes before displacement and a ~33hz tuning. Subs are running off of my US Amps MD2 at 1 ohm. ~1800w rms What do you think?

I was going to put 2-18'' Q's in a ford excursion until I heard ONE 15'' BTL fully loaded in a excursion powered by a hifonics BXi2006. The box was 3.5 cubes net @ 33hz. Let me say that it was loud!!! I want to run 2-18'' BTL's fully loaded on my new TE4001D amp!!! Would 2-15'' BTL's hang with 2-18's? Or will the 18's smoke the 15's like that? I really want the 18's and if I put each one in 5 cubes @32hz what will happen to my excursion?(Each sub will see about 1800 watts each.) If I use 5 cubes or 8 cubes per sub what would it do to the sound of the box? I want my X to fall apart from all the bass and I want it to be LOUD. What would the Fi Audio Guru's do...

Hi guys, I used the cut sheets for the fi btl 12 inch before. Was wondering if anyone has any cutsheet for 15" sp4 in sealed enclosure. Just for daily setup powered of a saz 2500d.

I am trying to get a box together for my to fi q 12s & I am looking at about 5 cubes net (maybe too big for the subs possibly 5 cubes gross would be better?) after port, sub, bracing displacement tuned to about 32hz powered by saz 3500v2.I am stuck on port area or it was just less than I expected I could put 2 6inch aeros in but the length is what gets me. I was using the torres box calculator 5.57 per cubic foot & that seemed kinda low to me since the specs say 12-16ft per cu ft I know thats a general rule of thumb for slot ports but still. I see that the mounting depth on the 15" BTL is 8.25"; so Im assuming the mounting depth with the 3rd mag would be a inch more @ 9.25"? Would 1/2" between the back of the woofer and the enclosure be enough to let the sub vent? Cuz 1/2" is all I can do
