Im building an enclosure for a Bl 12 I would like to tune it to tune it to 32 Hrz only Im not sure how to get the results Im looking for the specs for the enclosure im building is 16" deep 53"wide 8" tall on the back side and 9.5" tall on the front side I plan to fire it up I will be running it 1 ohm with a T1000 fosgate amp can sombody tell me what size port and length to use round or slot pot ? total air space is 2.79cuft with 0.18 deducted for sub displacement its 2.61cuft

So after being bassless for months now my FI BL 12 is on its way. I drive a 240sx now so i do not have much trunk room, I need help with a box design that would be optimal for the sub. Thanks for the help in advance. Trunk Dimensions: Height Sloping from 20" - 17" at the back. Length: 15". Width: 36". Simplicity is key since i do not have access to many tools.

hello guys, ive been a member for a while and have read tons of information on the Fi Bl and im ready to pull the trigger on one, but im stuck with one question. I've viewed the cut sheets that are located as a pinned topic, but i was wondering if i could make a slight modification. Since i will be building the box as a center console in my crew cab truck, i will be downfiring the sub and wanted to move the port to the side firing forward. The only reference i can think of on how i want the box to look is like the DD high efficiency box with the side port. Now my question is, am i correct to think that it will be fine and that all i need to make sure is that the port len…

I know no one probably knows really for the 09 lineup but would the BL 15 really get THAT much louder than the 12 if they were both fully loaded? Or would it be a noticeable difference? I want to know if it's worth waiting however much longer for the 15, or if i should just order the fudgeing 12 cuz im sick of waiting lol.

I just recently bought 2 FI BL 12's fully loaded with 4 inch voice coils. I have 2 questions for the forum if you guys can please help with me. First i am running a Rockford Fosgate 2500-1bdcp on the and since the subs are dual 1 ohm is this enough power for them? Second, the enclosure i had built for them is 4.23 cubic feet after everything and tuned to 33 hz. Will they sound good in this enclosure or should i have made it bigger? The amp puts out 3,526 watts total. Thanks in advance.

I have 2 FI BL 12's in a 4.23 cubic ft custom enclosure. The enclosure is tuned at 33hz. Is it possible to play below tuning? Also i cant seem to find anyone to set my gains properly so i will i know if i am clipping?

ok so one night i was sitting around thinking up some new box ideas. i really want to have my sub facing forward into the cab of my car, and have the port be on top of the subwoofer. so i was doing some concepting and came up with this, Box idea. I just want to know if it will work. i forgot to put notes so.... notes: 1. double baffle front plate 2. round port edges 3. 2.8 ^3 feet of airspace after all displacement 4. 3/4" mdf or particle board used. its going to be firing forward with the trunk sealed from the cabin. thanks, Anton Miller

I'm looking to get tuned to 32hz @ 2.5 cubes. I am going to be starting this build in the morning any help is greatly appreciated. I can't wait to hear this thing come to life. I just popped my FI cherry () and bought a FI 15 with cooling, daily, universal, and a red dustcap what kind of enclosure am i looking for? i have a 1995 lumina, and now im seeing what kind of box i should go for. ( i have a very large trunk. ) i think my MTX JH55 is a 4 cube box. and i still have room for a little more, could someone post the exact and best enclosure for the FI BL 15 thank you in advanced -Julian

Alright so i have a BL 15 in my car right now. When i get money i plan on buying another one. But the one i have right now is D2 instead of reconeing it to make it d1 i was thinking could i just buy another D2 and then just buy another SAZ- 1500d?

What are some optimal dimensions for a box for a Fi BL 15. I really want "SQL". Need to know how many drivers port area port length tuning frequency. (W x H x D) Thanks for the help.

Im looking at buying a Fi BL 15, im going to run it off a 1700 rms amp. i dont know what opions should i get. i was looking at the 4" coil. i think that makes it 1500 watts rms i heard but im still undecided. little more opinons would be helpful.

About to get started on getting a box for a fi bl 15. I have the space so was thinking about 4-5 cubes as one fi page suggests 2.8-4 and another 2.8-5? want to hit lows and still have it get a little loud and don't really know 100 percent about tuning but was thinking 33 hz ? Hey guys new to this forum and just looking for some info. I have a BL 15 on a SQ2200 sealed off in my car. The res fq of my car is 37hz and im looking to increase my spl #'s. What is the recommend port area and port area per foot? I was thinking about using 3 4" PVC ports. Does anybody recommend something else?

Hey everyone i am interested in buying a Fi BL 15 and i have a chevy s10 ext. cab. My approximate space is 48" length, 17" depth, and anywhere from 17" to 28" height I have a few questions and would be happy with any answers anyone can give me.... 1. I am thinking about building my own box at 4 cubic ft. tuned at 32 or 33 hz, but i do not know how to correctly port a box. anyone that could help talk me through that would be appreciated. 2. An option i was thinking was facing sub forward but i didnt know with 17" depth if i would have enough space between the box and the magnet. hey everybody, ive had my 15" BL for a month now and its running off a Rockford P1000-1BD (1328 rms @ 1ohm) but ive noticed after playing a couple of songs its hot to the touch but not too hot,,my gains are only half way and the bass knob is only half way.... i was wondering if this is normal and is my sub taking on any damage by being hot....????

Would any one happen to know the diameter for the BL 15.

thanks everyone need a little help i have a new bl 15 loaded, enclosure 4 cb tuned to 32 hz, im trying to adjust my amp and head unit settings for this sub ive tried several things but i dont feel that its right... the amp is a hifonics bxi 2008d mono, and the head unit is a pioneer deh p7900... ok now ive played around with it a little and to get decent sound (bass) ive had to set this amp to gain level 3/4 up, and bass eq 3/4 up, subsonic a little over half way, and low pass a little over half way... and the head unit settings hpf 80hz, (sla) all way up, loud off, sub 1 normal, sub 2 to +6 and im guessing the band thats on this setting with this is the low pass at 100…

Hello all, I am wanting to purchase a bl 18, but possibly a q 18. The dimensions of the box i can make are around 16h 32.5w and 22d with the sub facing up. I have a couple of questions, first, does it sound better to have the port on the side of the box or going along the bottom? Secondly, would that be enough space, i calculated it to be around 5 cubes after speaker and port displacement. Lastly, this is going in a celica gt-s hatchback and i was wondering how much room do i need between the back of the car and the front of the box? I think with these measurements i left out like 6 inches between the two. Any help is appreciated.

Could somebody help me to design an enclosure for the Fi BL 18 inch. I'm not good with the programs. I would like to let the box tuned to around 32 - 30 hertz. I'm gonna power it with around 1800W RMS. If somebody tell me the volume of the box and the port lenght and also the port area.

Well im in my garage right now trying to decide if i should make a 5" slot port tuned to 32hz, a 4" slot port tuned to 31hz, or a 3" tuned to 27hz... Im using the RE calculator to build a box and when im looking at the 5" port it says the Volume internal, and volume displaced is 2000...on the others its 1500 and below..i have no idea what this means, is it how loud the box will be or what..Which port u think i should design???Also the larger the port the less box volume i have..its been between 3.6-4ft3..i cant make a bigger box so let me kno which port is gonna be the best!!
