Well i built a sealed box with .6cubes net, its not the output i was expecting. I plan on going to a ported enclosure. its going in a 2008 frontier and there isnt enough room to have the sub and port up. the sub will be up and the port will be toward the passenger side. 1. port to the driver or passenger side? 2. i read the sticky and it said .5 - 1.2 cubes is it .5 min and 1.2 optimal or any where in between there will work? 3. should i do a longer narrower port or a shorter but wider one? sub 10" Q amp - hifonics 1208 (1200w @ 1ohm) (yeah right lol) if i get 1000watts out of it her happy max 15" high max 11" wide max 12" deep

Hey guys, Just wondering if you think I may have made a mistake with the 2 15's I am trying to squeeze into my car, I have a decent amount or room to play with... but do you think I should have went with 2 12's instead? Or do you think I should just throw the power at em and let it ride... My box will be around 8 cubes. My trunk is actually around 17-18 cubes, it's just that it has a tiny opening... do you think there will still be enough room for the air to move around in it... Thx Josh

im looking at using the ib3, and was wondering if there are any technicalities that i would need to take into consideration before doing it in my car. i would place the baffle behind my rear seat, and seal everything off w/ fiberglass where it goes under the rear deck and between the wheel wells/strut towers. anything else to take into consideration?

First i want to say hello, first time posting here (hope its in the right section) and after hours and hours of searching and learning i figured i would ask you guys. Well my old system ended up taking a crap on me, the 7 year old crossfire cfa-402 amp i had finally died (still kept the amp) so i upgraded to a Alpine mrp-m1000 amp to give me some room to upgrade, about 4 weeks later my sub died due to my stupidity of not keeping my finger off the volume knob (mtx 5500 15"). but hey i bought it 3 years ago before i knew anything about car audio and it was only $164 and i know i can get alot better from Fi. So now I'm without bass and I'm looking to upgrade to Fi since i …

Sub,options,amp:18'' Fi.BL:dual 2ohm,Cooling,Flatwind coil, and daily option.its going to be hooked up to a US Amps MD1D thats 1200 rms @ 1ohm (CEA-2006 Compliant) BTW:If you need any more info just hit me up!! thank you:)

The Fi.BL is being shipped now and i want to know how big 10 cubic ft. is.because the specs says 5-10 cubic ft. so i was going to get the enclosure built to 10 cubic ft. Is 10 cubic ft. good for that sub for max bass and Hitting Good Low low notes or should i stick to the 7-8 cubic ft. range?? P.S.:Space is not a option so you dont have to ask that? These are the options:dual 2ohm,cooling,flatwind coil, daily. How much inches wide & tall should the port be for this monster???? Thanks Guys:)

I'm in need of some help on a box build. I'm planning on getting 1(one) fully loaded FI BL 12" dual 2ohm. I would like to know what size and type of port to use, I would like a slot port (not sure what its called) tuned at the recommended 32 hz. If some one could get me some ideas on the size of port to use and that sort of stuff(i have no clue how to make a good port). I have a 3d cad package (SolidWorks 2007) to were I can design it my self I just have no clue what size and type of port to use, or how to use it. The set up is going in a Chevy Cavalier 2 door (rear seat does fold down, not sure if its relivent) and the amp I'm using is a Power Acoustik BAMF 2000/D (r…

Just like the title says, I'm planning on getting an Fi Q12, dual 1 ohm with BP power. I was planning on running it off of this at 2 ohms. Will this power it properly? Also, will I need to do any electrical upgrades such as the big three upgrade or a red top battery under the hood? As of now, I'm running off of my stock alternator which puts out 120a and my stock battery. Thanks for the help, -schmizzle

I plan on ordering a SSD 18" pretty soon and I'm attempting to make my own box. I'm only 16 and I'm not very good at math so if you guys could help me it would be greatly appreciated. I used the box calculator over at ssa and this is what I got. The 18" SSD needs 6-10cuft and needs to be tuned at 33hz, well I came up with some numbers and I got 19.5"H/ 36"W/ 18.5"D and after displacement that gives me 5.9cuft. And then it gives me the port length, area, and volume. (Port Length = 0.722 inches) (Port Area = 7.069 inches squared) (Port Volume = 0.003 ft cubed) What do I do with those numbers? I have no idea of how to tune a port or anything like that so I will need some he…

i know this subject is beaten to death but this time i actually have some specifics im either buying a BL 15 or 18 this is going into an 09 scion xb (hatchback/crossover) upfiring for the 18 this is probably the box i would build 14 sq inches port per foot about 6.22 volume or 6.5 if i invert the sub or, i could do a 15 and put it into the ideal box, as there is definitely room for one

I'm gonna be putting together a daily driver system soon, and want something that pounds, has control, and sounds bad ass doing it.. I have a 2007 Trailblazer SS.... I listen to a lot of death metal, heavy metal, some alternative, some rap, and techno/electronic type music as well.. I've been kicking around the idea of three 12" Image Dynamics IDQ's, or three 12" Alpine Type R's (i know, not the same league), or even three JL 12w6v2's.... I looked at the Fi Q's, and they're nice, but a little more than I wish to spend per sub. The SSD's are a much better option. I put them in WinISD, and much to my suprise, the response is pretty much spot on with the 12w6v2.. So now,…

Hi, I am currently having someone build me a box and they are looking for a cut-out template to cut the hole for the woofer. I gave him the cutout diameter but he wants a template to be sure. I can't seem to find one on the website. Do Fi offer one?

Hey guys. Im about to pull the trigger on a 12" SSD. My question before I do is can I reverse mount the sub? The space is kind of tight for the setup im trying to achieve and this would be my best option. Also I have a Diamond Audio amp already on hand. It can push 800rms @ 2 ohm and 1200rms @ 1ohm. Which would be my best option.? I was thinking of getting the 12" Q if it is a better option but was hoping to go with the SSD. Im already pushing 300rms to my DLS comp. up front. from a seperate amp. Im looking for an LSQ setup. Sorry for the winded post and thousand questions. Thanks for your help......
