Just like the title says, I'm planning on getting an Fi Q12, dual 1 ohm with BP power. I was planning on running it off of this at 2 ohms. Will this power it properly? Also, will I need to do any electrical upgrades such as the big three upgrade or a red top battery under the hood? As of now, I'm running off of my stock alternator which puts out 120a and my stock battery. Thanks for the help, -schmizzle

Soon im doing a blowthrough in my 97' single cab s10. I need an opinion on an amp to go with the 18" Fi car audio btl. I was thinking of the rockford fosgate t20001bd. I have no idea what amp and how to wire it right to get the right power to the sub. With that amp i would wire it at 1 ohm. is that the best way to go. I know if i wire it up at 4ohm i need alot bigger amp... any suggustions.

I have a 97' s10 single cab and i want to put a 10" or 12" Fi Bl series sub but dont have enough room behind the seat without eating my legs. Should i do a blow though where i put the box in the truck box?

I'm in need of some help on a box build. I'm planning on getting 1(one) fully loaded FI BL 12" dual 2ohm. I would like to know what size and type of port to use, I would like a slot port (not sure what its called) tuned at the recommended 32 hz. If some one could get me some ideas on the size of port to use and that sort of stuff(i have no clue how to make a good port). I have a 3d cad package (SolidWorks 2007) to were I can design it my self I just have no clue what size and type of port to use, or how to use it. I plan on ordering a SSD 18" pretty soon and I'm attempting to make my own box. I'm only 16 and I'm not very good at math so if you guys could help me it would be greatly appreciated. I used the box calculator over at ssa and this is what I got. The 18" SSD needs 6-10cuft and needs to be tuned at 33hz, well I came up with some numbers and I got 19.5"H/ 36"W/ 18.5"D and after displacement that gives me 5.9cuft. And then it gives me the port length, area, and volume. (Port Length = 0.722 inches) (Port Area = 7.069 inches squared) (Port Volume = 0.003 ft cubed) What do I do with those numbers? Hi, I am currently having someone build me a box and they are looking for a cut-out template to cut the hole for the woofer. I gave him the cutout diameter but he wants a template to be sure. I can't seem to find one on the website. Do Fi offer one?

Hey guys. Im about to pull the trigger on a 12" SSD. My question before I do is can I reverse mount the sub? The space is kind of tight for the setup im trying to achieve and this would be my best option. Also I have a Diamond Audio amp already on hand. It can push 800rms @ 2 ohm and 1200rms @ 1ohm. Which would be my best option.? I was thinking of getting the 12" Q if it is a better option but was hoping to go with the SSD. Im already pushing 300rms to my DLS comp. up front. from a seperate amp. Im looking for an LSQ setup. Sorry for the winded post and thousand questions. Thanks for your help......

I got chris at fishercustoms.com to design me box for 2 BL 18's. Its little over 18 cubes before port and sub and around 15 after, tuned to 33hz. Port is 10.5" wide. Figured i would post up design, hopefully i will have it built next couple weeks. We been workin 7 days a week, so as soon as i get a break, will get started on it.

I'm gonna be putting together a daily driver system soon, and want something that pounds, has control, and sounds bad ass doing it.. I have a 2007 Trailblazer SS.... I listen to a lot of death metal, heavy metal, some alternative, some rap, and techno/electronic type music as well.. I've been kicking around the idea of three 12" Image Dynamics IDQ's, or three 12" Alpine Type R's (i know, not the same league), or even three JL 12w6v2's.... I looked at the Fi Q's, and they're nice, but a little more than I wish to spend per sub. The SSD's are a much better option. Is a boxed tuned to 34 good for the BL?

I have an 18" btl in the mail it should be here tomorrow, I totaled my truck a few days ago that it was going to go in so now I have to put it in a 98 mitsubishi eclipse for a month or so i'm looking at making a box L34xH24xD17 wich I think is about 6.9ft cubed so I would need about 75 square inches of port. how do I tune it to 32hz?

At the moment I am really thinking of running 2 12" BTLs. I know this may be a dumb question, but hey, I am new and gotta learn somehow....anyway, how do the 12" BTLs sound. I have heard some subs where the 12" would sound horrible (imo) but the 15 sounded great....both in the optimum setup and tuning. Just like some subs aren't really recommended for certain types of enclosures or applications....is it ok to use 2 12" BTLs for a daily driver or would it be more beneficial to use the BLs due to application types.

Hey Guys, Could anyone help me with a box design, I built some sealed ones, but I just am not sure how to calculate the ports and tuning with ported ones. Even with the Box calculator's. I am looking for a box to hold 2 15 BL's and a box for 1 15 BL. Tuned from 28-32 Hz, Not sure on what would sound better. 30"depth 42"width 20" heigth these are the specs I wanna work with, I can fit more but, this is really what I wanna stay around Anyway, Thankx to anyone that can help me with this. I'm needing some advice on a box design for a 18" btl (old style) going in the back of a 1996 gmc suburban. Its a daily driver (no competitions) and Im looking for decent sound quality while hitting low and hard. I listen to mostly rap music and a little r & b. Not sure which way I should face the sub or the port or any of the box details to best suit my needs. Space should not be a issue since its going in suburban. I'm Looking At Building A Ported 8 Cubic Foot Box For The SSD 18. Someone Couldn't Help Me With The Dimensions And Port Size, Could They? I'd Seriously Like...Appreciate It. Also Specs For A Square Port Or A Slot Port, And How You Make A Square One. I Suppose Its Just A Hole In The Box Panel? The Sub Is Firing Up, Port Firing Back.

haven't been on here in a long time. i'm trying to run two of these, but i lonly have 2 cubes after displacement for each. i already built the box and i'm waiting on recones. it's tuned to about 37. just wondering if anyone tried btl 12's in the same size box and what you thought of it? oh btw amps are 2 t20001bd's. one to each woofer, dual 2 ohm woofers.

Hi, I'm about to order an 18" btl I just got done going through the options i'm bit confused as to what ohm to get I want to run it at 1ohm the amp ill be using is a HCCA-D5000 monoblock my qustion is should I get a duel 2ohm and run it in parallel or what? how would I wire the sub if it was duel 1ohm, split the pos and neg in the box and hook up all the turmanals?
