hi i'm interested in a pair of 18" btl's and i'm curious how much efficiency is lost by choosing the "daily" option and the "universal" option , these sub are going to be used in a streetmax truck but I may want to bass race occasionaly. I think i'm looking at dual 2 ohm, pole chamfer, thirdslug,hi xmax coil, daily, and universal for the build options on them how much would recones be so I could stock them so when i blow one i can just recone it and order a replacement instead of missing a show waiting on the UPS guy. Thanks for your time Charlie

If u get the full cooling option on the btls does that include the pole piece venting also as well as the side venting. Or is it just the side venting and the pole piece is covered?

I just bought a 12" Brahma MKII, its working but has had the tinsels resoldered after they broke. I was going to attempt to repair the tinsel leads and run with it like that, but, the guy I bought it from originaly said it was a 10" , now he says its a 12" , so I want to go ahead and recone it down to a 10". So, I want to go ahead and place an order for a 10" recone kit with 10" basket and gasket shipped to 26851. Just wanted to post this here before I send any emails.

Currently I am running my 2 15" Fully loaded Fi Bl's (flatwound coil, cooling, p chamfer) off 2 1500ds. I am about to buy some 18"s. They have cooling and flatwound but no p chamfer. How different are the 2 gonna be in handling since the 18" ones dont have the p chamfer but my 15"s do.

Okay, so i messed up a little. I have a hifonics bxi2601d amp, and i wanted to wire my sub to 1ohm. I ordered a 12" fi BTL fully loaded dual 1ohm model... OOPS! anyways, i tried to change the order, we'll see how that works. If i am stuck with the 1ohm model, and i wire my sub to 2ohms, meaning it will get the rated 1700w rms, (probabaly 1200-1500 actually) do you think it'll sound under powered? I'm running 0/1 gauge wires, and my box is 2.73^3. Stock alt and battery for now. My goal is to sound better than a jl 13w7, my buddy said hes hitting 143db on the reader. you think Ill get him?

Anyone have any experience with FI Q 4th order bandpass boxes? I'm thinking about doing one for two FI q 12's. I've heard they really help to eliminate trunk rattles when you port them through the deck. I have 2200 RMS to work with.

I want a recone config good for everyday driving and music. Mostly rap. Go with flatwind? Or copper? I want some leeway to have some fun so should I go with bp options for cooling? Enclosure reccomendations? About to order this shit tonight confirmation in the forum would be optimal

I will be building my first custom box for a Fi Q15. I will be putting it in a 1994 Toyota Camry. The cargo space is 14.9 cuft, I will edit my post later knowing the actual dimensions I know there are a lot of experts on this forum that can give me some helpful advice on how to prepare the box and how to correctly brace it. I have used a layout generator online and I was wondering if these dimensions were suitable for it. Net Volume: 3.3 cubic feet Tuning Frequency: 32 Hz Port Width: 4.75 inches Port Area: 78.375 Square Inches Port Length: 55.25 inches External Dimensions: 28 wide x 18 tall x 26.75 deep. Color Count Width Height Top/Bottom 2 28 inches 26.75 inches Red 1 2…

Hey guys right now I have 2 12" ssds running off us amps 4000.1 (1500 rms) and the subs are in 2.5^3 ft per sub @ 33 Hz. The box is just soo big and so hard to deal with and I want to build a sealed box and see which i like better. Is it normal with this large of a ported box i have a very weak upper end?? I want to put the ssds in the best suited sealed box. I have an avalanche and the box goes in the bed so i have plenty of room. I was thinking somewhere a long the lines of a sealed box around 1.1-1.3. You guys know these subs the best so if you were going to build a sealed enclosure what deminsions would you build it to. I have plenty of room so it doesnt matter how wi…

I recently just ordered me two 18" fi btl fully loaded and im selling my 18" q's to my buddy. What I need is a good box design for my btl's. My maximum measurements for the btl's box is 49"x20"x29". i currently have aero ports for my q's and im wanting to do a single chamber with a big slot port, subs up port back. And i also need a box design for my buddys setup, max measurements of 40"x26"x26", with the same idea as my box. so if there is anyone with ideas, let me know please. thanks

Forum, I have a unique situation and was looking for help. I have 4 FI BL subs but 2 are dual 1 ohm and the other 2 are dual 2 ohm. Can i run these 4 subs in the same enclosure and what final impedence will they have wired in series or parallel?? I have 2 Fosgate 2500-1bdcp amps that can be strapped together at a final load of 2 ohms.

At the moment I am really thinking of running 2 12" BTLs. I know this may be a dumb question, but hey, I am new and gotta learn somehow....anyway, how do the 12" BTLs sound. I have heard some subs where the 12" would sound horrible (imo) but the 15 sounded great....both in the optimum setup and tuning. Just like some subs aren't really recommended for certain types of enclosures or applications....is it ok to use 2 12" BTLs for a daily driver or would it be more beneficial to use the BLs due to application types.

I found these specs ~4 cuft net tuned to 32 Hz 16" h x 40" w x 20" d Port is 14.5" x 4", 30" long. To get 30", you make the side port wall so it extends into the box until it is 4" from the back wall, then add a piece 10" long running parallel to the back wall. Box is .75" thick, except the baffle is 1.5" thick. I made this in sketch up to specs I wanted to see if it looked right. besides the port being off the ground i think it is. I am new to building sub woofer boxes so any help is appreciated

i know this subject is beaten to death but this time i actually have some specifics im either buying a BL 15 or 18 this is going into an 09 scion xb (hatchback/crossover) upfiring for the 18 this is probably the box i would build 14 sq inches port per foot about 6.22 volume or 6.5 if i invert the sub or, i could do a 15 and put it into the ideal box, as there is definitely room for one
