I have never had this problem untill I started using my FI sub... So hopfully someone can shed some light on the subject.. When hitting major bass notes on full tilt, the amp shuts off and shows CUR..Which is excessive current. What is this and how the hell do I fix it?

As titled says. my max dimension is W33 H17 D26 which I calculate would be 6.52cu^3 after speaker displacement. I have 6.25 round ports and I know its kinna small for the 15Q but thats what I'm planning to use. When I use winisd (i know) with 6.5 cu^3 and 2 round 6.25" port tuned to 30hz I got a 23.57" long. I know my calculation is off because I have not deduct port displacement but hope someone can give input. I know the box is kinna small for the 2 15 but thats the only space I can spare. Most online port calculator wouldn't allow me to calculate 2 ports. Also the sub will be powered by 2 SAZ1500d. Thanks

I need some help with the dimensions of my slot port before I go ahead and make a disaster. I have a 15" SSD in a 3.8 cuft box. I'd like to tune it to 33Hz as per Fi's recommendation Using one of those online calculators I got the following dimensions 3"H x 6"W x 5.22 L Does that look right? How would that be affected if I wanted to make 2 ports? Any help would be appreciated

Hey guys, i am looking for a box design and was hoping one of ya could help me out. Its for 2 18" BL's powered off one rf t3000 going in a tahoe. I would like the dimensions no bigger than 28x48x22 if possible for daily driving tuned around 32hz subs up port back. I really dont trust myself designing one, but i guess thats one way to learn. Any help is appreciated.

  11. I got a 93 740il, i want to mount the subs on the rear deck and do a blow threw... dimensions of the trunk are - width 3', height 1.5', and there is a difference of 6.5" from top depth to bottom depth being the top is less, the port thru the rear seat can be a max height of 1.5' and is set at 1.1' without cutting any leather seat and width of 10", i have allot of room to play with the depth in the trunk well over 3' in the least deep spot, i tried using re's box calculator but it didn't help that much. thanks.

hello, If anyone can tell me the port length for a 15inch fully loaded BTL that would be great. they took down the specs for the new woofer i guess, making it unable for me to read it. So if anyone can tell me all the port information for a 15inch btl i would really appreciate it. Thank you

So I you could let me know where to send them, and if its ok to sen'd a m/o with the motor, or would it be bast to calll me and I'll pay over the phone with my Debit card?? Thanks, Joe. P Also The 3hp's have the tall top plate. would there be any benefit to miacine cooling channels in the top plate?? Could you do a fully poly cap on the 18" recone(like a havoc), I've seen 1 done, and a 10 with a poly and Fi logo, I'd love to have a full poly with the FI logo. Would look great..

So, I'm waiting on my loaded dual 2-ohm SP4 15" driver. I've been paying around with designs using Torres box calculator and Winisd and I'm hoping I've got something usable. After playing with a mock-up box (reinforced poster-board + hot glue did the trick), I figured out that the biggest size I can fit comes up to kinda disappointing dimensions: Outer dimensions - 16" tall X 26.75" wide X 23" deep Inner port dimensions - 14.75" X 3", 27.5" long for an estimated tuning of 32hz after driver/Plexiglas (details later)/bracing displacement Net volume comes up to a whopping 3.42 cubic feet, with 44.25 square inches of port. This is with all 3/4" MDF as well as an extra l…

Im getting 1 18'' fi.btl fully loaded and my enclosure is going to be 6.3 cuft. (After all displacements) 3/4mdf tuned to 34hz. But as far as the port can you please tell me how long, tall, wide, etc. it should be for best hairtricks, loud bass at high notes, and the best low bass I can get (Since being tuned to 34hz.) without port noise. One more thing as far as the enclosure should I have the top and bottom of the enclosure double baffled or triple baffled or the whole enclosure double or triple baffled or what? Please help as much as you can I really appreciate it!!! Thanks guys

Yollew top for the starter with a 200 amp alternator, 200 amp isolator, and 2 yellow tops in the rear for the sub amps. How would I wire the 2 yellow tops in the rear. + to + and - to - ? Ground each battery or only 1? Any help with this would be great and where and what battery, alternator,or isolator I should use? And what is the Big 3? Thanks Fi buddies...

Hi all, I have, what I hope is an easy question.... I have a pair of fully loaded BL 10's, So I am using WinISD to design a box, and I have some missing driver parameters: Pe: ????? ( I was assuming 1000watts ) Le: ????? Z: ????? Any help would be most appreciated! I currently have them housed in a 2.56 cu ft boxed tuned to 28.33 hz that I built for my previous cerwin vega v-max's, and the FI's sound really good in it, I just want to make sure I am not missing anything by not building a spec'd out box. Thanks!

can someone give my box measurements a once over and tell me if this is going to work,I have 7.49 cu.ft. and i am going to make a box for two fifteen's . I am going to use either the Q's or bl's , the box is going to be ported useing psp flare ports 4"x 17" four of them at this length. is this going to be enough room and are the amount of ports correct to tune this box to 28hz.. this is for a daily driver I listen mostly to rap and R&b. If this doesn't sound right could some one give me some direction, this is my first box build and i want to get it right. any help would be graetly appreciated thanks.

i sent you an email regarding a technical aspect of the BTL. its regarding info on if there is a way to physically measure the gap on a btl motor to identify a SPL motor from a Daily gapped motor. i talked to Nick about this issue, but after being convinced that my btl was a daily gapped motor...i now am doubting it. i took the woofer out of the box today and the sound it makes is just so mechanical metallic sounding on music. this to me would suggest a spl gapped motor. this motor originally belonged to kenny pollock and he said the SPL and daily option were not available at the time when this motor was made. however, it does have all the other options on it (fully loade…
