I am loving those FI x specs, and it has a strong BL as well I wonder why these didn't sell as good as the others.. It almost seems like its a good as a subwoofer as a ssd but cheaper. Im no expert but looking at teh specs it has a stonger bl. more efficient, lower fs Did we miss out on one hell of a woofer? or I know I did. IT has a nice xmax as well.

I have 2 D2 18inch Btl's and 2 SAZ 3000ds I need to know how to wire the subs down 2 ohm, because i'm strapping the amps together.

Scott, I just want to start off by saying thanks for the fast delivery of the recone for my sub it made it here in time for me to take 1st at usaci show in Omaha with a 141.7. But, now I need to build a competition box tuned to around 43-48Hz since my car is tuned to 45Hz. any help with this would be great. Is it possible to order just a recone kit and diy? If so what are the prices on 12" and 15" BTL's anyone know? Also is there a way to contact Fi directly other than e-mail like a phone number?

I should be getting my new ssd 12 soon and a alpine amp that pushes 1krms at 2 ohms. I was wondering if the sub will handle 1k without any problems. I usually dont have my radio blasting 24/7 (but like to show off for a song or two) and most of the time im listening to rock/metal. It will be in a sealed box and i got no options on it but Hqts. So the real question is can i run the amp all the way up (gains set correctly) or should i run about 3/4 level. Thanks for the help.

I was wondering if the BP option changes anything on the T/S parameters of any woofer it gets done to? Does it lower efficiency? And if it does, what is the point? Does a subs BL drop by having the BP option?

Hi, is it possible to convert a btl from 15 inch to 12? And what would be the price? More than a new 12 Q? I'm from germany so it's not possible to send this thing in.... Thanks Patrick

Would there be any noticeable difference between making one huge box or leaving both of them in separate boxes, advantages? disadvantages?

I am getting some 15" btls. I was curious about how I should get it made. I know I want the p-chamber. I read that if you get the 3rd magnet with no cooling option, this is better for SPL. So, what happens if you get 3rd magnet with the cooling option. This is going to be a daily driver with, hopefully tons of SPL, but I don't want to kill the sub and replace it or fix it consistently. So, which option with these should I go with?

ok so i got two fi btl n3 12s i went it had it metered on music did 149.3 on music on kick panel and 148.6 on windshield on music they said subs peaks in my box around 33 to 37 hertz which they said is good for low bass is that pretty loud score for that low of hertz? i also have a sunroof that leaks air and roof that shakes like crazy some people say it can hurt the dbs to dynamat or gain so what do u all think

I want to build a sub for home theater, using 2 Q15s in one sealed cabinet. What modifications can Fi make to optimize the Q15s for home use? I'll need a complete listing (including Le inductance) of the modified T/S specs for my modelling. Ideally, I would want the drivers to be optimized for a sealed cabinet volume between 4 and 7 cubic feet. Thanks.

Anyone know how to figure out the resonant freq of the 10" BL's? I know they are supposed to be 40.3 Hz, but I had Fi tighten the suspension to handle more power on burps. How do I figure out the correct resonant freq without spending $100 on the Dayton woofer tester program? I had them built with the SPL option and the flatwind coils if that makes any difference.

Gday all I am running two FI Q 12" D2's in a daily driver with a box that was built for it by a local car audio installer using a single round port. Sounds reasonable but no where near as loud as I expected from these speakers. I am driving them with a Hifonics 2k rms amp Boot mounted Optima inline with another optima under the hood. Also have a 2.5 Frd Cap. This is a boot mount install in a Aussie car Called a XR6 Family sized four door sedan.. ATM I have the speakers behind the back seat pointing into the car and the port facing the same way. Metered this setup at 132.5 before i upgraded the batteries seen alot better scores out of single speaker setups with similar siz…

I have a 12 " bl and I am about to begin building a new box for it. I want to use the same cut outs posted on here but I want to make the box with the sub facing up and the port facing the back door on my jeep. Does anyone know how to modify the cut out given to make it this way or do I need to make a whole new design?

I have 4 15" kicker's in my car right now running off 2 hifonics 2006's. i am thinking about putting either 4 18's into a truck or 2 18's of the trunk of my car. i want to flex and have a lot of bass. i already sound loud i my car but i want more. do you think i am jumping out there to far with purchasing 4 fi btl 18's? and if so what sloutions do any of you have for me to get flex and more bass? I will probably using the same amps or buying the slightly higher rated brutus. Oh just fyi the car is a lincoln towncar

Hi everyone, I had an amp putting out 2100 watts at 1 ohm on my SP4 18" (Stereo is currently out of the car for the Canadian winter) and I had a couple questions. This is my first build with a large woofer. I set the gain on the amp using my oscilloscope when I had hooked everything up, and I think it might just be my inexperience with this amount of bass, and I don't really know what I should be listening for. The excursion of the woofer is really high and I think I just have no reference point on what should be happening (coming from two 10" woofers on my first build). I don't think it is possible to over power the woofer with this amplifier, and I'm not getting a disto…

I just bought two 15" SSDs with the copper coil option..I will be giving them 1500 watts.. I have a '95 4-door Blazer they will be going in. My question is, what size box and tuning would be ideal for the best LSQ I can get out of this? I want the subs to be able to get LOW also.. And how much port area?> I am new to multiple sub setups.. Does each 15" need its on chamber? On another note. WOuld I get better results with the subs/port facing back towards the hatdch, or sub up, port back CRX style?

i'm powering 2 Fi Bl 12's. i would run one amp per sub. these amps run 1550 RMS at 2 Ohms. does Clarion make good amps? would you recommend these? budget is also a key factor. and i can get these amps incredibly cheap. i'd run Rockford if i could. but i cant afford it.

Optimal box internal volume is 1.1 after displacement, therefore, before displacement it would be 1.1 + .14 = 1.24 cubic feet. Would it be more advisable to buy a box that is slightly bigger than 1.24 and put something inside of it to displace volume or to buy a box slightly smaller and fill with polyfill? I'm finding boxes with 1.0 cubic feet and 1.5 and not sure which way to go.

I think I'm gonna add another sub soonish and am hunting for an amp. My budget will be around $150 and was thinking 500 watts total. I'm going sealed. I have ~160 watts on this one now and it gets loud which is why I was gonna add another with a little more power each. Or would I be better off just getting a bigger amp on the one I have. My budget may go up some just depends on the amp. Definitely not over $200. I have 4ga wire running and will need to put an amp on fronts. I have a 4 channel now running entire system. I am thinking about putting an FI Q 15 in a 2 cubic foot sealed box. I think that this size is on the bottom as far as recommended. Does anyone know how well the FI Q performs when it comes to small boxes like this?
