I'm in need of the T/S specs for a 15" BTL (2008 Single Slug) They're not on the website. Building a new box for them and I need to have the specs to plug into my software. Thanks

  2. I looked at FI's website and also at the sticky on this site, but still can not find the answer. If you can use a sealed enclosure, can anyone tell me the recommended internal volume? Thanks!!! ryan

I was wondering if the BP option changes anything on the T/S parameters of any woofer it gets done to? Does it lower efficiency? And if it does, what is the point? Does a subs BL drop by having the BP option?

I have 4 15" kicker's in my car right now running off 2 hifonics 2006's. i am thinking about putting either 4 18's into a truck or 2 18's of the trunk of my car. i want to flex and have a lot of bass. i already sound loud i my car but i want more. do you think i am jumping out there to far with purchasing 4 fi btl 18's? and if so what sloutions do any of you have for me to get flex and more bass? I will probably using the same amps or buying the slightly higher rated brutus. Oh just fyi the car is a lincoln towncar

Found pretty vague threads on this subject, so posting my own. Just wondering how well the BTL would hold up on a T2500-1bdCP rockford wired down to 1 ohm. This is my first Fi sub and i don't know how touchy they are. I'm going keep the box within specs ofc. 34 Hz, etc.....upgraded the electrical and have a guy thats excellent at tuning. I'm not crazy with the volume or gain so I figure running this beast at 2500 shouldn't be a problem, but just wanted to make sure with you guys if you have any experience with this. Thanks.

  12. Hi all.I just placed my order for two SSD 18's.I can't wait to get them but in the mean time I was wondering how much power can they handle? I have a Autotek Street Machine 1500 watt amp that I was planning on using with them put I was curious if they could handle it.I did not get the BP power or flatwind coil when I placed my order.I got dual 1ohm instead of dual 2 ohm voice coils so im planing on running the subs at 1ohm.Any advice or help would be greatly appreicated.Let me know if any more info is needed and ill post it up.Thanks

I just bought two 15" SSDs with the copper coil option..I will be giving them 1500 watts.. I have a '95 4-door Blazer they will be going in. My question is, what size box and tuning would be ideal for the best LSQ I can get out of this? I want the subs to be able to get LOW also.. And how much port area?> I am new to multiple sub setups.. Does each 15" need its on chamber? On another note. WOuld I get better results with the subs/port facing back towards the hatdch, or sub up, port back CRX style?

I sent an email asking this but never got a reply. I was wondering if i could seal up a SSD 15? If so what would be an ideal size for the enclosure? I checked the specs under the SSD section in the sticky thread but all i could find was "we are still testing sealed enclosures" etc. Thanks.

I am pretty sure I have neither the room or the amp for 2 of the Qs but I am getting 2 of em for $260 If I did want to change amps and run 2 Q12s, how much air space would I need to do them justice in a sealed enclosure? I have started to consider using both after a day to think about it. Initially I was only going to use 1. So, I guess I have 3 questions enclosure space for 2 sealed enclosure space for 1 ported enclosure space for 1 sealed Thanks for any and all help Jman Oh, the car is my 2001 Trans Am, I kinda want to use the space available on top of the gas tank in the rear hatch and get my ttop space back. If not familiar with the hatch in a 4th gen f-body, chec…

Optimal box internal volume is 1.1 after displacement, therefore, before displacement it would be 1.1 + .14 = 1.24 cubic feet. Would it be more advisable to buy a box that is slightly bigger than 1.24 and put something inside of it to displace volume or to buy a box slightly smaller and fill with polyfill? I'm finding boxes with 1.0 cubic feet and 1.5 and not sure which way to go.

Other than thiele small params and the small pics, it's hard to know all of the differences.... the Q has a smaller pole vent? larger magnets? The single 2 ohm IB3 is a 2 layer coil, the Q is 4 layer. The Q's Fs isn't much higher than the IB3's and the motor doesn't seem tooo much bigger.... IF I had the extra $$$ at the time I would have gotten a Q because it would have been much better for my application, I could have gotten the dual 1 ohm coils and ran my Lanzar OPTI2000D at .5 ohm and everything would have been GREAT. But I only had enough for the IB3, and so I let the lower Fs and higher Xmax ease my mind about doing what i had to do. If I could go back in time, I k…

Hey guys I have a question about the Q series woofers: a 12 Q in a ported box or a 15 Q in a sealed box is what I am debating now given a 2.5 ft box for either one: 1.) which will be louder? 2.) which will play lower? 3.) which will have better SQ for rock?

My enclosure is built at 2.5 cuft, my current port area is 10x4x21, tuned to 39 hz, I want to change this so its tuned to 32 and I would need to add 14 in in length, unfortunatly not possible. So I looked into it and I could change my port to 10x3x25, what will I lose(or gain) by changing the port area ?

which fi sub would sound the best in my ~7 cube box. its about 3.5 cubes before port so about 3 cubes per sub. the box is tuned to 29hz and since its the biggest possible box i was able to make that fits in and out of my trunk with ease thats all i really wanted. so i want to keep the box but by the specs of the sub which would get loudest in this prefab box.

New to Fi and just picked up a 18" btl. Need some suggestions on box size and tuning. I have about 10 cubes gross before driver and port. Looking to do a sub up, port back, tuned to maybe 35hz with 4k of power. A few have said that these have tremendous bottom end so I'd like to tune appropriately.
