So if I get a DVC 2ohm BTL that means there are two voice coils, which just ONE can handle 2kwrms correct? So if I hook up 2kwrms to each, shouldnt that work? Or lets say 1500 on each coil for less heat? Yes yes I understand Im retarded, but you never learn if you never ask P.s. figured out my other question..

ok so i have built alot of enclosures in my day but it has been about 4 years or so I have a mx15 in my truck right now with a 6" round port and its tuned to 32 hz sounds great i am super happy with it ok now onto the project I am helping a friend design a box for his car and a wedge style box is optimal to save the limited space that he has I will be using a BL12 and we will be making a ported box for it but the standard slot port wont work well for his application so we are opting towards a round port now here is where the issue arises I am unsure what size port i should be running single 6" or single 4" or possibly something else the enclosure we r shooting for is a f…

I'm looking for the exact dimensions of the MT gap or the exact coil dimensions to see what other coils will work with it. If Scott or Nick see this i'd appreciate some info. If anyone has the MT coil sitting around and has access to a dial caliper or something to measure precisely I would really appreciate the help. Or if anyone knows the gap dimensions off the top of their head lol...

im just wondering if it would be possible to have softparts assembled to work on a fosgate power hx2? i can take exact measurements if needed, but from what i can see so far it has a 4" dual 2 ohm coil and an 8" spider like i said though i can take better measurements of everything if you guys can help me out on this one. btw i have tried contacting RF direct and they stopped making softparts for this particular sub seeing as though its over 3 years old.] TIA chris

I have Term-Pak and am looking at the graph for a box for my BTL It looks horrible. Is it just me or does the sub just plot poorly? I used the specs off the site. I'm using a model of 4ft^3 @ 32Hz

I notice that on the Fi website that u have options that u can add to your sub before purchase. What does these options mean? Flatwind coil? Copper Coil? and BP Power? Can i purchase this sub without this stuff. If i dont then how will the sub perform in daily uses? Oh yea, is there a big difference in hard hitting bass with the SSD 15 and the Q 15? Thanks.

I'm trying to order a bl 15 and everything goes smoothly until I hit pay now and it tells me there has been an error and to choose a different payment method. I have Discover card and have used it to purchase since I've tried purchasing from Fi and it works so I know it's not the card. I have E-mailed Fi twice since Saturday night and they still havent responded. I would like to order as soon as possible. I've seen on here that they are behind on orders right now or something, but it would be nice if they could reply to me. Maybe they'll see it on here and help me. Am I missing something that I need to order my sub? Any comments would help. Thanks

I've seen that Fi is using woven leads at least on some products, is the Q on of these? Also is this change going to make it over to the AA Havoc any time soon?

I have a mazda ext cab pickup and have about 12cu feet to work with. I really want the FI Q18's. I have never owned a pair of 18's and that's what i want. I want to kind of do what Steve Meade did in his honda and build the enclosure inside of the truck. If i can't do that this is the space i have to work with 30in high x 49in wide x 14in deep. If i built inside i think it would be a little bigger. I was wondering if I can't fit 2 of the Q's, should I just use 1 of the Bl's?

what does Universal option do to the sub frequencies response? will it make the SPL lower since the motor is not optimised for the coil impedence chosen? or does it give the 'peaky' effect like flatwind?

so im looking to build a new box for the blow through in my truck. trying to think of some new designs to make it interesting. is there any benefit to having the subs angle towards eachother? i was thinking having them facing eachother down the center with plexi on each end so you can see the inside. thoughts?

Im in the process of designing a box for one Fi Q 15 and I have a couple quick questions. If went over the 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume would this affect the sound Quality? I was just curious because I have seen a few enclosures that definatly go over this and sound amazing. I am going for more sound quality vs. SPL but want to get the most out of my subs. Also I am planning on tuning the box to 32 hz, that was the recomended optimal freq. for the 12" Q but does this also apply to the 15" Q? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance, Zach

Hey guys, After putting my 15" BL together in a 3.5cuft box, which sounds awesome, now I just have to fix my amp problems. Anyways, I have to build a box for a friend for her 15" Q. I suggested sealed since she wants to do more stuff in the trunk and I didn't want to take up the whole trunk like my box! We both have Scion tC. I was thinking a box for the 15" Q sealed with the exterior dimension of 12" high x 32" wide x 16" deep, with 3/4" wood. That will give an interior volume of 2.69cuft w/o sub displacement, so with the sub it is 2.5cuft. The sub will be powered by a Kicker sx1250.1 amp, that amp supposedly gives out 1250 watts at 1 ohm. So with that given se…
