Hey guys I got a 93 Grand Caravan and two Fi Q 18's With BP packages commin hopefully next week Im finalizing some ideas on a box and wanted some input. It gonna be subs firing up port along bottom out back. Im aiming for S.Q.L, i figure it will be loud regardless I'm not trying to put up huge numbers i want it to be very deep and clear thats all So im thinking Height = 26.5" Width = 47" Depth = 39" All in 3/4"MDF / im doubling the top sheet where the woofers are going. According to the RE Box calculator which i dont know how accurate it is it tells me Internal Displacement = 16.068 CuFt Before Sub (0.24CuFt x 2),minor Bracing( maybe .4CuFt) and After Port Displacement.…

Im in the process of designing a box for one Fi Q 15 and I have a couple quick questions. If went over the 12-16 square inches of vent area per cubic foot of volume would this affect the sound Quality? I was just curious because I have seen a few enclosures that definatly go over this and sound amazing. I am going for more sound quality vs. SPL but want to get the most out of my subs. Also I am planning on tuning the box to 32 hz, that was the recomended optimal freq. for the 12" Q but does this also apply to the 15" Q? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance, Zach

I'm looking for someone (Scott? Nick? Just anyone that knows what they're doing) to help me get together a box design (cut sheets, etc)... I plan on running the Q for a little while in a sealed box I built that is right at 2.6 cubes (after sub displacement), but want to build a ported box later so it will hit the lows better. I have no problem with building it, that is easy for me, I just need a good design that is tuned to a certain Hz. I want it to sound good, but be louder from the outside than it will be sealed. Would 32 Hz be a good "middle of the road" tune? The box is going to go in the floor of an ext. cab '01 silverado (still has the backseat, just leaving it up…

I am looking to build an SPL box for two 15" Fi SSDs with copper coils... I am just going to switch out of my daily box to this box when I go to competitions... What size box, and tuning would be best? I have a '95 4-door Blazer it will be going in.. I was thinking something along the lines of 6ft^3 tuned to 45hz..

So im about to build my first ported box and i need a little help. My 15" bl will be getting 2000 watts and has cooling and flatwind options. This will be going into a 96 infiniti i30 (same as maxima) My goal is to have the best LSQ setup as possible leaning more towards spl. I think i want to tune ~35. If the box is 4 cubes with the tuning at 35, is a port size of 4W x 13h x 21.8L correct? Is that enough port area? And is that a good tuning for my goal? Also if i use 2 circular ports that are 4" in diameter and 10.5 inches long would that be enough port area and the right tuning? Thanks a lot -Rick

Another guy (Ryan Wallace aka Belunt from CAJ.com) was suppose to build me a box, but i cant get in touch with him now, and im trying to get a refund. but someone let me know something. thanks

FI website says 5-10 cubes is the recommendation. i will have 1500w on tap and am wondering, what is the difference between the 5 cube box and the 10 cube box. obviously the 10 cube box will be more efficient etc etc. but im more concerned with whether 5 cubes is really going to be enough for an 18? most people build 8 cube+. biggest i can get is 5.5 to 6 cubes, is that size box really enough? anyone with particular experience with this would be especially welcome.

Hey, i recently built a box for my 2 Fi X 12's, it is a ported wedge box 4.37 cuft after port and sub displacements. I have a 4 inch ,"precision port", flare port and is 6 inches deep. The problem is that the sub closer to the port moves more and im thinking that i could get more out of the subs if they both had the same movement. A little confused.. i was told that it would be louder if i would have divided the box and but two separate ports, one on each side rather than one on the passenger side. By the way i have them on a Autotek MM1000.1D

im looking at the hifonics bxi2607d amp. Its rated 2600 watts at 1ohm. From what i have heard ( and also from personal use) the bxi line is over-rated by about 200-300 watts. This amp is a little different from the other amps in the bxi line. For one, this is the 2007 model. Also, this one is strapable. Does anyone have experience with this amp? I want to know if this amp will be able to push a loaded 15" btl and sound good enough doing it? i dont think im going to get the $40 cooling, just the $10 one. I am going to run it off of a 140a alt, 2 batterys (one of them a yellow top), and do the big 3. I also plan on using a 5 farad cap. I read a thread on roe that they are u…

I am having problems with my btl's. It just started recently, when i listen to music the subs start to make loud popping sounds, Instead of a flow of bass they pop. But if i play just a tone then they seem to be fine.

Umm I'm having a bit of a problem. I need someone to go into bass box pro or whatever you like and design me a box. The external dimensions are 27Hx40Wx25D. I'd like it ported. Please don't tell me to get different subs or a different car, I just can't make that happen.

Does Fi offer a recone kit that would fit on a MA Audio 1800XL? If not, who would? The recone kit would have to include a new basket.
