since some of you knows very well this product i though it might be a good thing to ask before making a choice... i got a btl 12 that will run on a soundstream tarantula trx2000d... ive done the big 3 and im wondering how to maintain a constant 14.4 load to my amp?? plus a need a box desing. im gonna be using this sub daily for mostly hip hop and got a mazda protege 1999 with enough space in the trunk . i also heard that a square box aint the best option since the sound produced by the woofer would hit the back panel then bounce back troughout the cone area and produce distortion(by the way sorry for my english im french) is it true???? and thats about it thanks for you…

well..i saw alot of guys using behringer's ep 2500 for powering dual Q 18's(my plan) in setups over on hts forum..however..i know that the behringer doesnt put out 2500 rms maybe somewhere around 1000 so i was thinking ..maybe the dayton plate amp might do a better job and give me a little extra features...any ideas or opinions??all is welcomed..thanks

Well I have been looking for a new set of 12's for my truck. I just purchased a dodge mega cab that needs some serious audio loving. I have (2) 15 eclipse ti subs that will not fit. I am trying to put (2) 12's behind the rear mega cab seats. I have been thinking seriously about buying a pair of Fi BL or BTL subs but I am worried about space for the BTL's. I have 60 inches of width 23 inch height but the depth is only 7.5 inches at the top and around 11 at the bottom. Is there a way I could build a ported enclosure with those dimensions that could effectively push 2 BTL's or BL's. I would be using 2 DEI Viper D1200.1 amps. I am very impressed with the BL and BTL line. I al…

im looking at using the ib3, and was wondering if there are any technicalities that i would need to take into consideration before doing it in my car. i would place the baffle behind my rear seat, and seal everything off w/ fiberglass where it goes under the rear deck and between the wheel wells/strut towers. anything else to take into consideration?

I was wondering if this box would be big enough for two 15" fi btls. The box is 38 length X 25 width X 23 height. After displacemnt of everything its around 7.5 cubes at 31hz. The port is 6 wide and 25.5 long. It would be for daily use and each ran a sundown 3000d. thanks for the help

i currently have a crossfire vr 2000d and an optima yellow top with a kinetik hc600. running 0 ga from the battery then 2 ga from the kinetik to the amp. im currenty upgrading the "big 3" and am looking at an alternator around 200 amps or so. is that enough upgrade to feed that amp? the type of subs i was looking at are the FI BL15's which are 1000w rms and also the RE AUDIO sx15's which are rated the same. also if anyone would recommend an enclosure not only for daily but for comp. as well....probably somewhere along interchangeable ports

Hello I'm new to this forum as i have just purchased a used Q18 " sub and i want to get the best from the sub for my suburban, i listen to rock and rap and i want to make a ported sub enclosure for it, sub up port back. my question first is could anyone help me design a enclosure with the best tuning for all around use? i love the lows but i would like it to not only go low but have a punchy bass aswell. if anyone could help a Fi newb with this it would be much apreciated. thank's i'll give specs of the area i have to work with, 47w 24d 22h ,99 suburban using a fosgate t5002 pushing aproximatly 800 watts, my goals are just a daily driver setup with good sound quality. an…

Im currently using the RE Enclosure calculator (http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html) and after putting in the dimensions I can fit in my trunk and Im playing around with port size and what not and I was curious, the "tech" section on the Fi site says the recommended tuning is 33hz, I can only get my box to fit if I tune it around 34hz, is this an issue? would it be better to be lower than ideal if you cant get the ideal 33hz like 32hz instead... Or am I not even gonna notice? Also, again refering to the "tech" section, for the 10s it recommends 15 square inches of vent per cubic foot of air space, is it a major issue if I can only work around 12 square …

I have 2 15Q (1st gen with no options) with 2 saz1500d and it gets hot over a short period of heavy bass music. I was wondering is there any way I can increase the power handling of the sub. I am not from the US so to ship the motor over to get the partial BP would be expensive. would it be possible to use the BTL spider on the Q or other options? I know changing the spider would increase Fs and Qts but would it be significant? thanks

Before my son was born, I was running 18's and I really miss the output of that setup. So I am thinking of sending in my 12's to get re-coned as 18's, or if its not to hard, just doing the re-cone myself. Yes, I am tempted to off load the two 12"s and just get a 18' xcon or BTL, but with hardly any more power, and 1/2 the cone area, this setup should be louder theoretically. Secondly, I am not a box designer at all and I am completely lost as to what works and doesn't. This is a daily setup. I don't compete. Using RE's Calculator just as a ref, it looks like the max volume I am able to get is around 13.5 cubes before displacement. That is leaving a bit of space between…

12" BL D2 Daily Flatwind Cooling @ ~1200RMS. 2.25cuft @ 32Hz. Just wondering what the subsonic filter is recommended to be set at. Right now it hits all the lows with ease when set at ~25Hz. (Soundstream TRX1500D)

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good car audio shops in Ohio (Columbus would be best) that have worked with Fi audio before and could do a custom wall for 2 12" BTLs and probably 2 TD20001 r/f amps. I like competing in meca's car shows (SPL) and i don't think i should do the box like originally was going to. Thanks

I am looking for sound quality mostly, not worried about if the bass rattles my car apart. If I go sealed would it be terrible if I went prefab from online? and if I went ported I am thinkin about 2 cubes at 30 or 32 hz. how big of a difference would trupan-lite over mdf make? thanks all

I just got 2 more 15 fi btl to put in a 91 blazer. The box I am going to build will be 38" wide 31" deep and 20" tall. I want both subs facing straight up with the port also straight up. I was wondering how big I should make my port. I am looking to get around the 32 hz mark. Also I will be bracing with 1 1/4 inch wood dowels and will be using 3/4 inch mdf.
