  5. Simple question; without breaking the bank on super high power mids and highs, would front speakers mounted in door (one pair only) be able to keep up with a 4- 15's wall? Wall is on 2k rms, Kicker CVX's. My friend doesn't want to build pods, and I can't tell him my opinion, being a state away. I think his budget for a pair is $400. I'm pretty sure he just doesn't want to put in the work building them lol.

  6. Hello everyone, i just had a few quick questions. My friend recently bought 2 kicker comp. vr series 12" subs i believe they were, and hes running them off of a 600 watt amp, i dont know the name of it tho or the specific stats. His car sounds lovely from the inside and outside. I keep telling everyone about stereointegrity and to buy their subs but none of my friends listen to me... they all think im dumb because i dont have one yet(due to lack of funds), and so they dont believe me when i tell them what it can really do and they think im just bullsh*tting. i want to show them and make them jelous. (thats not a main priority of mine to getting this sub, but it would …

Question 1) I might be purchasing a used Magnum and wanted information on its Power Handling. Does Stereo Integrity offer such information? Question 2) If I wire only one voice coil and terminate the second coil with a resistor (potentiometer) to vary the driver's Q in a sealed box, how much power can I send to one voice coil?

The main objective here is probably going to be LSQ. I'd like to have it look "normal" when this is all said and done. The sub...that will be interesting. We'll see. This is partly a show-car (you know, with graphics all over it and such), so obviously it needs to look presentable. In terms of both speaker and sub, quality is the main concern here. I was thinking Zapco or McIntosh for amplification...that's about all I'm pretty sure about. Thanks for help..

Im looking for a ten inch alum woofer to get a little more detail in the front. I would like to lower the tuning frequency on my 15 and looking to add 2 10s to blend with my germaniums then moving to the kicks (Only use two of the four mids). Main thing would have to be able to run IB as my doors are deadened and sealed pretty well. I used plexi to seal off any compartmental openings and then prayed a window motor never goes out but essentially im working on my processing now and think this would be a good step forward prior to making my selections. THanks for any recommendations. I currently use two 3/4 mdf spacers and reflex pads. figure i can get away with the ten…

I have a pair of Orion HP12s sealed in 1.2 cubes per chamber powered by a JBL 1201.1 II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2ohms and one of my Orions tore the surround recently and I'm trying to decide whether to get a replacement HP12 or upgrade. The Orions hit hard and clean. However I may upgrade if I could find an efficient pair of subs that could get louder and sound clean. The poll options are what I'm trying to decide between.

Of these, which would you prefer? Will be running 2 sets on the front of my DLS Ultimate A5. Wont be a ton of power so it will definately need to be efficient. I would like clear sound, good midbass, and definately as loud as possible. This is the rating of my amp, and with 2 comp sets each channel will be at 2 ohms, so around 50rms per speaker. 4 ohms: 85 watts x 2 chan. + 300 watts x 1 sub chan. 2 ohms: 100 watts x 2 chan. + 500 watts x 1 sub chan. These are some of the options I was looking at. What would you pick? Speaker choices and poll us up at ca.com. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=410377

In our roto-xmas draw names, I drew my sis and bro-in-law. We cap our spending at $100, but I will break it a bit if logical. They have a 20 Sea Ray runabout and are putting a stereo in it before summer. I have an old Pioneer amp that is about 90x2 at 2ohm that I don't want and will give them, but would like to buy a subwoofer to go with it. Being it is a 2chn, DVC would be great. Since it won't have tons of power a fairly effecient driver would be great, space is fairly minimal so something that works well in a small ported box would be ideal. What would you guys do?

So yeah, even with better amp grounding causing less voltage drop on my voltmeter, and enabling my other 1/0g power line, I was no better then before. No matter if I was revving the crap out of the engine, or if the battery charger was connected. Simply, the subs don't get any louder past a certain wattage, which I'm guesstimating to be in the 600 watt range, while my amp can put out about 1000 watts per sub. And just for jokes, I played some music with the drivers side windows down, loudest was AM Kidd's - Bay Wid it, pushing 146.1db. It sounds LOUD as heck inside the car, and now it's confirmed that it's loud outside the car too Interesting, I only got 142.5db with the…
