I have a RF Power T500-BD the birthsheet is rated at 762 @ 1 ohm I want to run 2 subs in sealed enclosure 1^3 ft per enclosure. I was looking at the Audioque SDC2.0 12 its dual 4 ohm sub rated at 250 watts rms. I was also looking at the HDC312 which is rated @ 1000 watts rms and the Sundown SA-12 rated @ 600 watts rms to put in my 2^3 box and don't laugh I never owned Kicker subs before but I found a pair of CVR's for $150 with free shipping. I'm trying to stay around $250. The HDC312 is $260 including shipping and it looks like a beast of a sub to own and I'm really leaning towards that it.

I cannot choose a sub to buy. although i have picked out a few i am intersted in. I really like low notes, so the sub has to play good low notes. I will put the sub in a ported box. it will be pushed by an audioque 1200d or 2200d. I just wnat to know which will be louder and better. 1.Audioque hdc3 15 2.Soundsplinter Rl-p 15 3. Fi BTL 15 4. Orion HCCA 15 5. Cascade Designs Omega 15 Those are subwoofers i seem to like, if there are any that are really good that i am missing and you think it fits me then tell me, only if it is in the price range of 250$-400$ Thank you for your time Edit- I have a jeep grand cherokee so i have alot of space and no eletrical upgrades, but wil…

What's up SSA? Hoping I could get some advice from you guys. I need a sub for my boat, but I'm just not sure which one will be best for my application. I like everything I've read about sundown so I'm leaning in that direction. I had an 12" Alpine type R powered by an Alpine MRP500 in a crappy best buy enclosure...I took it out, and looking for more The new sub(s) primary purpose is to get girls to dance on the boat. Most of the music played will be fist pumping club music, e.g., house, hip hop, and some rock. I want the sub to be loud and have a violent punch if that's possible. I'm installing 8 Exile SX65c's 6.5" speakers powered at 100w RMS @ 2ohm each. I had 4 SX65c's…

I just bought some Kicker 1/0 gauge power wire kit and I'm having a difficult time figuring out how exactly I'm supposed to get the thick 1/0 wire into the ANL Fuse holder(which came included with the Kicker amp kit by the way). Here are some pictures to show you exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance. I'll check back real soon as I would like to continue the install tomorrow if time permits. Ps. How do I post up an image. It will only let me link an url.

I have been reading and I haven't found a post that is exactly what I'm looking for. I have just been introduced to all these different sub woofer lines that I have never heard or seen before. And I need some opinions from people who have had experience with any woofers. I'm looking for a single setup with no more than 1500 watts. I wont say that I want sound quality since everyone has a their own definition of quality. I am looking for a very deep bass. The kind that you feel. I don't like punchy bass. Very smooth transient response is what I look for the most. And most important is a very crisp sound. I don't know if any of these wants can all be achieved at the same ti…

I currently have 2 05' s12L7's running on a bx1605d in a 4cuft box tuned to 35hz. The box has the subs and port facing up. I have been looking at alot of different subs and decided to ask your opinion. I have about 5cuft for an enclosure after subs displacement and port area. What two 12"s or 15"s could I get that would sound better and get just as loud or louder preferably with the amount of space I have and my bx1605d? They will be in an 04 Toyota Tacoma Ext. cab. Thanx 4 any help.

well, as you know SSA is now a mach5 distributor. Right now i have 2 infinity perfect 12.1's. I was planning on doing these with a ported box, but the more i read, the more id like to try a mach 5 maw15. The maw would cost a little more, because i can probably only get about 80 or so for the pair of perfects. I have one sealed in my car now with 300 watts, but its not loud at all, and i would just be worried about the output. I know this is the mach5 forums and may be a little biased, but most\ of the mach 5 knowledge comes from here. So i ask you, keep the perfects and go ported with about 700-800 watts, or do one maw15 ported with about as much as it can handle? t…

  15. Hello everyone! I need some advice about making a compact Subwoofer. I am planning to make portable,"on the go" subwoofer box, but I have dilemmas about the speaker size. The enclosure will be 6x6x6 inches. I can feet 5.25 inch speaker with no problem, but I have terrible feeling that the woofer will not sound good. So I need your opinion. Should i go with the 5.25 inch speaker, or I am going to need smaller speaker like 4 inches? I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

  16. Hey guys, I was originally going to run my Treo Engineering SSX 18", but decided I don't want to go through upgrading the alternator. Where is the most you recommend running off the stock ALT with an upgraded battery? Can I get away with 2KW? I'm looking to run 2x15's now, something around 750RMS. I'm not to familiar with this power range, what do you guys recommend? Something around $150 each preferably Needs to fit in a 2010 Maxima

Hi everyone, I've been doing some shopping lately looking for a new sub and wanted to get some advice. Heres a few things specifically I'm kinda basing my next purchase upon. 1. Budget- $450 (approx) 2. single subwoofer setup only 3. minimum 1500w RMS 4. Best SQ possible at the same time id love something that can hit pretty damn hard (140 decibels if possible) 5. Very durable!! I've already blown 2 soundsplinter rlp-18s i need something that can take some serious abuse. ( something that actually can withstand in hot weather) I will be using a a jl 1000/1v2 to power the sub ( Nak cd400 headunit). So far I've been browsing TC sounds Axis series, Ascendant audio mayhem ser…

So, this is my current setup. . . http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v448/pheaturez/truck/?action=view&current=100_02991.jpg I have the opportunity to sell my sub/box for 400.00. My question is simply this. Is going from an RE SX to an MJ18 a downgrade?????? I have no complaints with the SX. Honestly, the sub sounds beautiful and it gets loud. Is built really well and handles every bit of power I have going to it (RE 12.1) When comparing the subs, visibly it seems as if its a backwards step. I have nothing against stamped baskets and plain cosmetics because I am a function over looks kind of guy. . . All i want is for it to perform. But when you see them side by si…

I'm currently saving up money for a system but I'm kinda having a hard time deciding on a subs. My options are 4 Mach 5 MJ18's or 4 Fi SSD15's. I want a loud daily driver and I would only do local comps, maybe. They would be put in their recommended ported box and they will be run off of a SAZ-3000d when it comes out. I know the SSD's are going to be more than double the cost of the mj18's but if they're worth it I would get them. What should I do?

I have made up my mind that i want to run 2000wrms, but I can't decide is whether on 2 15's or just one 18. I feel the two 15's will just be too much and the one 18 will do what I want it to. I want it to be at least semi-musical, but kill the lows. Nothing too loud, just something louder than my two type r 12's that we shoved in my friend's camaro (build log coming) This is a daily driver setup. Nothing extreme, just an enthusiast.
